  1. Maybe so, I've never tried.
  2. I think that's a reskin of the default helicopter, so without editing the model there is no way to give it multiple skins.
  3. Yeah, and they also wouldn't title it it 'Leaked Bug Logs' (detect sarcasm) Rockstar will have them on their own servers, these will have been leaked into the public domain.
  4. Umm the Interceptor can now be downloaded: http://www.gta4-mods.com/vehicles/gta-v-vapid-police-interceptor-non-els-f25540
  5. I'm not sure it's possible to edit the in-game phone, since GTA IV's release I've only seen theme changes which involves a simple texture change.
  6. Are you running an ENB? If so, removing it should give you extra FPS.
  7. I hope so, thanks for all your advice guys - particularly from the staff
  8. So I guess what you're saying is keep at it and you'll grow exponentially?
  9. I see your point, but I'd rather wait for a bit before investing in something like that. So maybe see what games we play now have the most appeal, then discard the ones that don't until we grow...? We have a few ideas that could make us stand out, so would that be the next move?
  10. 1) No, we use a .tk domain which is free (our site is idontwanttoadvertisemylink.tk) 2) We've set up a list of rules, and we stick to them 3) We run our own servers, either via Hamachi or Direct IP (port forwarded) when one of the moderators is online (my router doesn't support port forwarding) 4) That's a good idea 5) We started as a GTA IV clan over a year ago, then we found ourselves playing less and less of it, hence why we moved. Thanks for your help, I really appreicate the responses guys!
  11. Yeah, thanks for the response Jay. I guess one way to advertise would be through YouTube. Any other ideas?
  12. Hi all, I was wondering if the community had any advice for me. I'm currently leading a small but active gaming community, called Quantum Gaming. We have a website with forums set up, as well as a TeamSpeak server. Trouble is, we're not getting the volume of members we'd like to have. So I thought you guys could give me some advice. What do you think would be the next step? To staff: I don't think this classifies as advertising, I'm simply asking for some advice.
  13. There are so many different repaints and models out there, you'd do better searching. If you're looking for HD textures of the original police cars, Lt. Caine made some - they can be found on GPM. To be honest, you may be better editing the mipmap settings of the original cars in OpenIV.
  14. In theory, it should be possible. If you install the disc version, upgrade it to 1.0.4.0 then download from Steam, it should be fine. If you install from Steam first, there is a chance that the patch files for 1.0.4.0 would install to the Steam directory (I'm not sure you can manually specify the install location for the GTA patches. The only thing that could be an issue would be registry-related, but if you do it that way it should be OK.
  15. So are you suggesting that you are a Crown Victoria? This isn't Facebook, there is no reason why an avatar should be anything what I look like. Only you seem to care. Also, where does 'default' come into this? Similar to a few other commenters, I am not your 'bro'.
  16. Hehe I found this quite funny. To be fair, pretty much every reply here is correct. GTA IV was a poorly coded port for the PC, and even the best computer won't stop crashes. On another note, ^ This sums up how I feel. Perhaps even how a lot of people feel. You really should not make your titles so misleading.
  17. Switching to PM, this could be a long-winded process.
  18. If you're running Ubuntu from your Hard Drive, then that is a fair indication that your hard drive is fine and it is simply a problem with Windows. If you're running Ubuntu from a removable hard drive/USB, then that doesn't help with troubleshooting your hard drive - but at least you know it's not a BIOS issue.
  19. Before even considering reformatting, you need to make sure that your hard drive is fully connected (this happened to me before; it just turned out to be a loose connection). If it is and the same problem occurs you're looking more towards the corrupt hard drive type of problem. Reformatting may not be possible if you can't access an OS on your Hard Drive. Only after that, I'd start considering a repair from Sony themselves, you said it's only 6 months old so it should still be under warranty.
  20. If it says 'No Operating System Could Be Found', the most likely thing that comes to mind is either hard drive corruption or failure. Perhaps try booting to Ubuntu on a removable HDD to see if it is a problem with your VAIO hard drive or the BIOS. I'm not sure if it's even possible to reformat the VAIO's hard drive and reinstall Windows if you get a message like that.
  21. I could give it a go, if you're interested? If so, switch to PM...
  22. Surely the best way to do it would be to use the Metropolitan Police pack for the models, then create some textures that would fit with the Sussex idea?
  23. If you have a commandline, make sure you don't have anything that conflicts (like: 'nomemrestrict' and 'memrestrict 12345678' or whatever). If not, it may be worth trying one. Also try updating your drivers.
  24. It shouldn't be too hard to texture that onto a slicktop Crown Victoria, then make the lights blue... I can give it a go if you want?
