Mercuri reacted to Cartres in Cartres (the new guy)'s ShowroomI'm sick of California law enforcement vehicles.
When Slendis and BradM released their vehicle and texture packs (respectively) representing the Boston Police Department, I thought I couldn't be happier. Truth was, I could be. So, I decided to be. One week ago, I began to learn how to use Zmodeler for myself. I don't know what spurred me to finally take the deep dive. I learned ELS first, and I'm now half-way through my first default-lighting vehicle as well.
In the meanwhile, I have busied myself with one goal: To make the most realistic and true-to-life Massachusetts Law Enforcement Pack that I could, using as many publicly available parts as possible.
While I'm new to the scene, I'm not new to LSPDFR and the community. Feedback is welcome and encouraged, and if I forget to credit something, someone, or somewhere, please let me know. I promise that nothing is used or taken with the intent of malice or misuse in mind.
With that said, I present:
Please find all of my recent progress beyond those photos above in the following album, and thanks!

Mercuri got a reaction from Matt in the Hat in LSPDFR 0.4 - Announcement + First PreviewYeahhh! Looking forward to this. If I should suggest something I will ask to add the ability to modify the list of vehicles you can choose between when going on duty.

Mercuri reacted to timnboys in Speed / Radar GunI don't know to be honest, just fearful of the unknown I assume.
I just removed the model since people are way too ungrateful considering I really didn't have to upload it until I had my own script working with it so whatever.....

Mercuri reacted to OfficerFive0 in OfficerFive0's GTA V WIP [Current Project: MSP + Washtenaw County]Ive been doing a bit of modeling lately. modeled flex cuffs and a shovel today, rest was a few days ago.
Linz6 with surface mount, avenger - normal and takedown versions (wip), and stands for the 2100/21tr/rx2700 (wip)
Some of you may remember me posting images of a lidar gun i was working on a while back. Due to issues with both the model and meta files, i put it aside and lost interest in it. With albos latest update with the handheld radar feature, i figure now is a good time to revive this project.
Here are some screens i took a while back, showing some features i added a while back. The viewfinder is now transparent, and the buttons light up like they would irl.

Mercuri reacted to timnboys in Speed / Radar Gunwell I have re-read my pm's between me & @Ridgerunner and it seems I can just release the model itself and likely make the script later though per my pm's with Ridgerunner I just need to properly credit ridgerunner for the model since I am not any sort of 3d modeler and that is fine with me as if I did any 3d modeling I would have expected proper credits where credits are due as well, though since it isn't my original model I will only release it in it's locked state in zmod3 since all other scripts for gta iv that used this model had the model locked as well to prevent well pirates(not sure if they still exist in the gta v universe, but better to be safe than sorry).
as I was planning on doing more than what albo did and instead try to somewhat duplicate what finkone did in gta iv in gta v and that is taking a long time to reproduce since most of the methods aren't the same in the gta v hook compared to gta iv hook so that is taking a long time to do. but I will release the model soon though to allow it to be used with albo's script for the meantime while I built it with my own script behind the scenes though as stated in locked state only.
then again afraid of uploading it at all considering the security system might flag it as not my own work and well I get banned or something for uploading something not myself again(which was never my intention and was done by accident but still don't want to take the risk).

Mercuri reacted to timnboys in Speed / Radar GunI need to figure out the script first of all before I can get the lidar script going, the model is already locked in zmod3 and is already packaged in an addon dlc.

No, if you have a trainer you can go into the vehicle components menu and add it yourself. To force the vehicle to spawn with an extra, go into the vehicles.meta for the car and find this line:
<requiredExtras / >
You're going to want to change this, and here's how you'd do it:
<requiredExtras>EXTRA_1</requiredExtras>
Change the "1" to whatever your push bar is.

Mercuri reacted to nick_g44 in [REL] Realism Dispatch Enhanced 3.1.1If you want to keep the game modified files then just remove the scripts.
Open the RDE 3.1 OIV in WinZip and look at the scripts folder. Then remove the scripts listed in there from your GTAV scripts folder.

Mercuri reacted to Caramel Please in [REL] Realism Dispatch Enhanced 3.1.1I just deleted everything in relation to sixstarreponse. From what I can remember, the files are in the scripts folder and maybe 1 or 2 in the base gta 5 folder.

Mercuri reacted to t0y in t0y's WIPs and ShowroomSo here's an update.
I completed the Sandy Shores Police pack, and I am in the process of the BCSO pack. The SSPD pack is going to be a Sub Department of the BCSO, so they will have similar setups as I mentioned before. Currently the vehicles I have done:
BCSO
- 2011 CVPI Marked
- 2011 CVPI Slicktop
- 2011 CVPI Unmarked
- 2012 Silverado
- 2013 Impala
- 2013 Tahoe
- 2014 Charger
SSPD
- 2011 CVPI Marked
- 2011 CVPI Slicktop
- 2013 Tahoe Marked
- 2013 Tahoe Slicktop
(Thats it for the pack)
And I will be adding:
BCSO
- 2008 Suburban (Maybe)
- 2015 Tahoe
- 2016 FPIS
SSPD
None
Yup :) Check my Gallery for images of all of those.

Mercuri reacted to 11john11 in [REL] Realism Dispatch Enhanced 3.1.1I'm planning to do a lore friendly 80s/90s expansion pack for RDE in the future
I already started working on the first models last year but currently I don't have time, a working Zmodeler and motivation so it will probably be a rather long time until I continue working on the project
some teasers:

Hello Everyone,
So I’m currently revamping and fine-tuning graphic mods to fit my taste. Which are usually deeper (darker) shaders, quality ELS lighting, very little sharpening, and a more cinematic blur focus. Something similar to what I did in GTA IV as seen in the link below.
FYI: Currently there is no ENB and/or Reshade being used. Just some modified files of VisualsV, filters mods, 4x MSAA, Ultra Settings and 4K rendering.

Mercuri reacted to nix112112 in Police boat spawns in the middle of the roadI used to . But I made a clean install without it...
@Mercuri
I did some research and I think I have found the problem.
Extract Arrest Manager.ini and Arrest Manager.dll from Plugins > LSPDFR
if you are using it. The boat stopped spawning for me.
EDIT:
Albo1125 confirmed that Arrest Manager was spawning the boat.
It will be fixed within the next update. Problem solved!

Mercuri reacted to PNWParksFan in [REL] Coastal Callouts Discussion ThreadHuge thanks to @SkylineGTRFreak for all his great work on making compatible models for this mod! This mod simply wouldn't be the same without him.
I've just started working on this feature, and it's still in the "messing around with testing code" phase, not worked into the menus yet, but yes boat towing works!
