  1. Happy to announce British Policing Script's release with a BIG bang! More details during @FirstThirtyMinutes stream today at 16:00 EST, see you then! The stream will be live at 16:00 EST / 22:00 CEST at https://www.twitch.tv/first30minutes Don't miss it!
  2. These things are already built into Traffic Policer. Watch the changelog video and read the documentation. You don't need to use other plugins for Breathalyzing & Speed Checking any more.
  3. Sounding spankingly good so far! Remember, if you ever need any coding help, just send me a message, I'd be happy to assist
  4. Quoted from above: Support - what to do if you encounter a bug or have problems: Watch the installation video for my modifications here. Use this tool: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9755-lspdfr-troubleshooter-by-albo1125/ Read the documentation file if you're having trouble getting a specific feature to work. Suggestions can be made here. If all else fails: Please leave a comment (not a review). Include your RAGEPluginHook.log file, located in your Grand Theft Auto V folder. Also, please provide an accurate description of what happened. This allows me to help you as fast as possible.
  5. They are partially funded by the national government and partly by council tax. I don't really understand the point. "Training officer", "basic training with your department", or As You Will, as Shakespeare would say - my point was entirely different. Seeing as no further substantive (counter)arguments have been given to the original topic, I'll be removing myself from this debate. It was a good one, thanks a lot! Sorry mate, you'll have to enjoy what's here already
  6. If this is the case (I wouldn't be statistically sure) there can be a variety of reasons. Obviously, distrust is one of the more important ones, which you of all people would know about as you claim to be a training officer. Welcome to the world ^.^ This is the case everywhere, even in the UK! Did you read my post? I suggested US officers should not go unarmed due to the outrageous gun laws. In my post above, I believe I already mentioned that the UK police budgets have been dramatically cut since 2010, leading to the #ThinBlueLine as we know it today. Hell, it was on the verge of becoming an emergency only service only a few months ago However, I'm not discussing US vs UK police here. I'm discussing US police mentality towards (lethal) force, and we seem to be straying off the subject.
  7. Routinely, yes, definitely. Officers equipped with firearms should definitely be a specialist part of a police force, though. In your book, perhaps - however look at the various countries where such a policy realistically works perfectly well (if not much better). Again, as I said before, your attack on me personally shows your lack of argumentation. I definitely disagree. As I referred to before, in Britain there were fewer citizens killed during the 20th century compared to the US in March 2015 (twice more in fact). Officer deaths in the US are much higher, too, with 25 officers being killed in the UK during 2000-2014 compared to 2445 officers in the US. Taking into account the difference in officer numbers, the US still had an officer death rate that's 10 times as much as in the UK. I'm referring to this not say British police specifically are better than the US police, just to show how different mentalities yield different results (although, adding a touch of subjectivity here, I find the US death figures disgusting). While I'm not saying that US officers should just ditch their guns and run around unarmed (the outrageous gun laws will see to this), I do strongly think that US police officers need a mentality change towards (lethal) force as a whole - and your previous posts have made this necessity even clearer. As you say you're an aspiring police officer in the US, you've been trained into a certain way of thinking about this kind of thing. Nothing I can say is going to change that. That being said, we've both made our opinions known and that was the point of this interesting debate. They're obviously not going to change
  8. Boolean Functions.IsCalloutRunning(); string - not possible. I've documented all API functions here:
  9. You are deeply mistaken...Let me explain. I believe you're referring to the 'new' armed officers the government is recruiting to counter the terrorism threat in major cities. These 'new' officers are simply bringing the number back up to what it was back in 2010 when the government made major cuts to the police budget, seeing a decline in the number of both unarmed and armed officers. Turns out, the armed officers are now needed again, leading to a massive excess cost. Gotta love Theresa ^.^ Even with those 'extra' armed officers an overwhelming majority of British officers are not equipped with a firearm (again, not sure of the exact figure but probably around 85%). The style of British policing has always been routinely non firearm carrying officers with specialist armed response teams, and that hasn't changed. What we are seeing, though, is an increase in the number of officers carrying tasers, which I'm a big fan of. I was simply explaining the way British police handle things, not saying that the officer in the video should or must have done so. What I said about the video specifically was that when the other officers arrived the suspect was not reaching for any weapon nor was he attempting to, so at the time the other officers had no idea the suspect may have reached for one before. Therefore, they correctly deployed their taser and had no reason whatsoever to deploy firearms. This is a mentality that I admire and should become standard in the US.
  10. British officers are routinely not equipped with a firearm. Only goes to illustrate another great benefit of this. I've never heard of such a case in Britain before. If firearms officers are deployed, they initially use tasers in all confrontations (unless the suspect is actively shooting/causing serious public threats, of course). They ensure the suspect is under control before approaching, therefore making cases like this video nonexistent. When the officers in the video arrived the suspect was not reaching for any weapon. At that time the ither officers did not know he may have reached for one. Therefore, they correctly chose to deploy their taser and had no reason to deploy firearms. This is a great mentality which, as I explained above, is extremely successful and prevalent. It may also explain why in Britain there were fewer citizens killed during the 20th century compared to the US in 2014. Officer casualties are also extremely rare. Not sure of the exact figures but most years no officers are killed at all.
Excellent plugin overall! 5/5. Computer+ brings up some LCPDFR nostalgia, and in this case, it's not the constant Alt Tab crashing or the texture loss; it's the awesomely indepth Police Computer from LCPDFR! Computer+ is excellently designed and well optimized for GTA V and LSPDFR. I definitely see Computer+ becoming a crucial part of an LSPD officer's tool set. On top of a great design, functionality is also right on par; integration with most of LSPDFR API's functions, RPH functions and even my Traffic Policer API means Computer+ delivers consistent information that ties into all other popular plugins. On top of that, integration with various callout plugins that make full use of the hugely anticipated Computer+ API makes responding to callouts that much more immersive. Once you've tried it, you'll never go back! Definitely worth a download! Great job
  11. Just as some information, you can press X to do this.
  12. Yea, I've removed that in the next version. Heh, I noticed that during my video ^.^ Will fix it next update. Unfortunately there's no animation for getting in and out of the vehicle (getting out of the back warps you outside of the driver side door, so I put them at the back again). The door flapping is something I've been looking to remove, but I haven't found a way to make the peds in the back leave the doors alone as of yet. Yup, this one's fixed too Cheers for the reports, much appreciated!
  13. Great! Also just added another point about the Vehicle.IsStolen property in the post above. I'm glad my API guides were of assistance by the way. Really cool how it ties in with the Traffic Policer insurance DB
  14. Looking great so far, splendid job! I've found 3 minor things: The "Hold E to open LSPDFR Computer+" help message displays every time I get in a vehicle or come to a slight stop. Could you limit this to once per game session, or while a traffic stop is active only? This is just a side note, I'm not sure if you've done this (didn't see it in the ReadMe), but I thought I'd mention there's a "Vehicle.IsStolen" property in the RAGE API. If you haven't done it yet, adding support for this would be great! When I searched for the driver's name during a traffic stop, and subsequently searched for the vehicle plate, I got this (When looping through the World peds, try sorting them on distance to the player and display the closest one accordingly, some peds may get the same names): Other than this, excellent work! Nostalgia is real
  15. Well, so do what it says then ^. ^ If you think you've done it delete the one in your lspdfr folder completely and copy the new one in again.
  16. For those of you who cannot get enough of this update's changes or simply haven't read the changelog yet:
  17. That may be because it has a version check, meaning it'll simply not load if it detects a different version. This is not due to compatibility issues. Fixing this should take the author of showmylocation a maximum of 1 minute - get him to do so!
  18. No you don't. NativeUI is backwards compatible. And 'you guys' is just me, don't worry ^.^
  19. You need to update Police Radio. You've also made a mistake in your backup.xml file. Replace it with the default one from the LSPDFR download.
  20. 6.9.1.0 (22-05-2016 17:27 CEST) Added a new, realistic average speed check feature. This is part of the Speed Checker (F5 by default). Added a new Breathalyzer feature. The alcohol limit & unit are customisable through the INI file. You can breathalyze nearby people by pressing LShiftKey + O (default). All Traffic Policer drink/drug drive scenarios now tie in with the new Breathalyzer andDrugalyzer. Improved the Drugalyzer handling of a person that had just been drugalyzed. Added Breathalyzer & Drugalyzer compatibility for the upcoming British Policing Script court system. Fixed an issue in the Driver under the influence callout where the call was called code 4 during a pursuit. Added lots of new methods to the Traffic Policer API, mainly to let other developers utilise the new Breathalyzer: SetPedAlcoholLevel, GetRandomOverTheLimitAlcoholLevel, GetRandomUnderTheLimitAlcoholLevel, DoesPedHaveDrugsInSystem, IsPedOverTheAlcoholLimit. Updated for RAGENativeUI.dll 1.4.0.0 Updated for Albo1125.Common 5.5.3.0 Now warns for possible mod conflicts upon startup. Updated documentation file.

  22. 1. Make sure Windows Media Player is installed and enabled on your computer. 2. Officer Shot isn't part of Assorted Callouts.
