So you downloaded a fancy 2015 Tahoe and installed it in the police3 slot, only to find that it rolls more than your eyes when your boss is talking to you. Does your Silverado not drive like a truck should? or maybe your '15 Charger doesn't feel right. There are a lot of options to choose from when deciding which handlingid you want to use for your car. I've compiled a list of what I use for handling lines, and thus far, all have worked just fine. For some of them, such as the Silverado and Expedition, someone else might of found a better handling, and if that's the case, please comment below letting me know what you're using and I'll give it a shot.
Some people like to edit the handling.meta. This is not a requirement, the handlingid is all you need to touch if you just want the basics. Handling.meta is there for those who know a bit about modding and want to refine the handling lines to feel realistic.
For those that might be confused on what the handlingid is, it's one of the top lines in the vehicles.meta.
Here's an example:
<handlingId>police3</handlingId>
All of these will be for police vehicles, I will not be covering modded civilian cars. Also note that this topic really only applies to those who have modded their police fleet.

Steiger4044 reacted to Donnzy in Editing Police Uniforms in Photoshoptheres no real templates apart from the MYEUP stuff, alot of it is guess work trying and trying different things, and alot of reloading the game to check it again
then theres editing specmaps and all that jazz to add extra details or different details but getting there just makes it complicated
best way i have found to learn is download other peoples peds and open them in openiv and compare the texture files to the model and see where stuff lines up and how others have done it

I want to apologize for the grammar errors that you might hear in the video, as it was the first English tutorial I made. If there is anything you don't understand, please let me know.
Update:
Added 2 new settings for adding up to 5 sirens.
Download this file first:
[UPDATED] ELS Sirens Definitions.txt
..and just follow the steps that are in the video.
Please let me know if you have any problems or suggestions.

Steiger4044 got a reaction from Marc03 in A more lively airspace in Los Santos and aroundHey all,
I’m really awed with the customization that can be done with modding and all to lspdfr and gta 5 as a whole. But one thing I’m looking to do is make the air space and much of the ground traffic vary. I’ve looked over eup basic and ultimate and some other small plugins, and also testing world of variety, which are awesome.
but I wanna customize for example, the airspace quite a bit. Like at LSIA I only see the 747 landing and wanted to vary different planes both spawning and landing at the airport there. Also not much different for what I wanna see fly over Los santos and the area. And not just civilian but like police helicopters, military and even other emergency craft. Same on ground don’t see a lot of ems or fire with lights going off to a call. I did get one of ambient police responses on the road but that was it.
also I wanna customize more agencies really nothing big just thought about the campus police patrols and ones around the railroad
any ideas or suggestions would be so helpful, thank you.

Steiger4044 got a reaction from Bostonmk1 in Other callout ideasSome more ideas for fellow scripters and modders to take up....
1.) Similar to traffic police but in a sense of random events occurring with the population on the street, (random fights, thefts, car accidents, etc;)
2.) Return of ticket time, very rarely do police officers stand over you to write a ticket (for safety reasons and in the state of California why stand out in the heat when you have an air conditioned vehicle to check up on the perp). You should be able to write out the ticket and return it to the suspect with their documents.
3.) The USLA is too quiet, there should be callouts on campus, I mean hey these are young adults who will do some illegal things (drugs, fighters, harassment, under the influence of narcotics or alcohol.
4.) LTA and LSIA specific callouts involving suspicious packages, belligerent passengers, customs busting someone carrying attempting to import or export illegal goods.
5.) Raids on drugs, weapons dealers, illegal goods
6.) Pick up inmates from the penitentiary to the police station, court house, or transport them to the prison.
Just some random ideas, if already in progress, currently used, or can't be done then no worries....
Best of luck guys, you've already exceeded my expectations for what is possible in a police simulated game :)

Steiger4044 got a reaction from aussiesim in GTA V FlagsHey aussieism,
They are located in the mods/x64c/levels/gta5/props/building/v_rooftop.rpf
You can find numerous mods for different flags at gta 5 mods.com including one that replaces all agency flags...g'luck

Steiger4044 got a reaction from Lawdy in [WIP, REL] Better EMSAlso ParksFan, what about stretchers I know gangren had that for his RescueIV mod for GTA IV so I don't know if it's possible for GTA 5 as some injuries that peds, officers, suspects receive could be too serious that they cannot walk on their own but it would be a really awesome option. Agreed the heilicopter AI ingame isn't the greatest the wilderness callouts has it but ya it doesn't always work the best. The response times work fine and yes I've used the quick warp option as well. Is it also possible to prevent the paramedics from running away if ever attacked by peds or suspects?? Cause they continue to run away..
So far so good, keep it up man.

Steiger4044 got a reaction from SoUThPHiLLY20 in [WIP] Premium Callouts for VNever know user could be quite busy with life, and in any case I'm sure someone will attempt something else like this later....LSPDFR potential is soo huge with all the callouts and coding done.

Steiger4044 got a reaction from ScottyTooHotty in Code Red Callouts (I'M BACK!)Hey Scotteh,
What you've done is absolutely awesome, I'm loving what you got so far.

1)Harassment
2)Bar fight, club fight, fight around the block
3)Rape
4)Public intoxication
5)Noise disturbance
Generally things I hear enough times at work, as I dispatch for the police services in my region.....g'luck with your call outs.

Steiger4044 got a reaction from Azteco in mod ideaAlthough realistic, we don't need the game "that" realistic. What ticket time did by FinnkOne from LCPDFR was pretty cool, but after every situation to do paperwork would cause less people to have fun, boredom, and especially those who are "police officers" that play, I don't think they wanted to come home from paperwork to play a mod that includes more paperwork.
