If you want a police version of Need for Speed, buy Hot Pursuit. However, I prefer actually being able to pull people out at gunpoint, so I'll stick with LCPDFR on GTA 4.

And how often has this been done for any shooting? I'm for equal treatment of people whether they are cops or not. Had it been 2 civilians shot at in the area, then we wouldn't be hearing about it and the police would've put out a BOLO on the suspect's description. Probable cause wasn't an issue with the Boston Manhunt, and some families weren't given a chance to deny a search or ask for probable cause before being ripped out at gunpoint, as seen in this video:

It was replaced with the tazer. I believe the main reason is that Beanbag Shotguns are orange/yellow/green in real life, while the one in game could fire both lethal and non-lethal, making multi colors an issue.

The whole point of the term "Less-lethal" isn't that it can't kill, but that it can kill a significantly less than lethal options. That is why tazers deplete health in LCPDFR, because in real life, sending several hundred thousand volts of electricity through someone multiple times can kill them or cause serious injury. Pepperball guns aren't used often in real life, and it is usually only by SWAT Teams. A more realistic option for a patrol officer (hence "first response") would be tazers and less lethal shotguns. There used to be a beanbag shotgun in .91 that would be activated by aiming at someone with the combat shotgun and pressing "T". I personally liked it a bit better due to longer range, but I wouldn't mind seeing both the beanbag shotgun and the tazer used together in LCPDFR.

Sorry that my post came off a bit harsh, but most of the members get tired of seeing one or two posts a day asking about a release date.

If you would bother looking at every other time someone asked a similar question, you would find the answer has always been "when it's done". Personally, I'd rather see them take time on it since it is a complete rewrite. .90e was rushed due to people demanding a release, and it had cops jumping out of their cars while in pursuit after 75 feet. I don't want to see that again.

Still looking forward to this though. I've always liked keeping my cars looking like they come from the same agency (pushbars and light setups for example), so I'll still use this. Oh, and will this have ELS settings with it?

Can we expect all cars (besides the savana) to use the same style pushbar?

That would be because the site sucks and doesn't want to give itself revenue for some reason. Basically a dual strobe light like a Whelen Dashmiser above the rear view mirror mapped to primaries on the strobe setting and then a halogen dashlight on the dashboard mapped to secondaries like in this video:
