Anything that is made by gaming companies, like ASUS, Gigabyte, Razer, MSI (but they're expensive like Alienware). Just type gaming laptop into Google, click on the shopping section and browse around. Normally i would hide posts for off-topic, but your comments haven't been off-topic because all the replies given to you can relate to the OP if he wants to buy a new laptop or desktop. So i'll let it slide =)

Building your own isn't that hard.. it may look confusing, but it's really not. For me, when it comes to computers i deal with the software and my mate builds them.. however when i transferred cases to my current one, i decided to build it and it was easy. the only thing i suggest not doing is the CPU onto the motherboard, pay someone to do that.

Does GTA V download a patch before going in game?

Cheaper than an Alienware laptop.. my desktop cost $2000 AUD (which in USD turns out to be $1200 roughly). and that runs GTA V on max setting, 60fps AND it looks 110% better than the PS4 version of GTA V. That being said, i went overboard to future proof it.. and that was all online so if you go local you can essentially cut the pricing in half (or atleast save a few hundred).. plus Alienware is overkill.. you can find better brands of laptops with better specs for cheaper. Everyone i have seen never recommend anything Alienware.

Are you running a torrented/cracked version of the game? I just see a couple .dll files i'm not familiar with.

Right now, anywhere the sheriff spawn because my framerate just dies when i enter the city (Thanks Rockstar!).. and it doesn't help that i record while playing aswell. I do go into the city sometimes.. when i'm in a pursuit but that's during the day so it's not entirely bad. Also i have Lund's first gen stanier installed in my sheriff and i love that car.. but it's too old for LSPD to drive.

The answer is no, You don't have enough VRAM which is important with games, your laptop was never designed to play games at all so running GTA V is a definite no. if you want to play GTA V you'll have to buy a new computer (or build one) And no, you can't upgrade a laptop.. there is limited things you can upgrade in a laptop and it's more hard than a desktop, to be honest only desktop computers have full customization.

Why didn't you just buy the retail version? (disc version) and no, it most likely won't work. because it still needs to go through the activation stage and what not. Plus like Starmix said if you use the pirated version then you won't receive any help from the CT or members because your version of GTA is pirated. Also LSPDFR and RPH doesn't work for pirated copies.

There are no plans to release LSPDFR for online, however it still could be a possibility as the development team has only stated that it will never be supported for GTA Online (for obvious reasons). it'll be up to RPH if it works with the third party online mods. because if you can get that going then LSPDFR should work. that being said LSPDFR will most likely only be supported with single-player but possible to run on multiplayer. this was the case with LCPDFR and GTA IV mulitplayer. Also, keep in mind this is just my personal opinion and not an official answer from the Community Team or Staff of the site =)

Zmodeler has no plans on a lock method, that is correct. so whether or not users want to upload their work then it's up to them. However i am sure someone will share their work unlocked for other people. So we'll have to wait and see what happens in the next couple months.

Unfortunately most modelers who have a CVPI model won't be releasing their work until a lock button/method is released for Zmodeler, so every Crown Vic you see for GTA 5 is private. Whether or not a lock button is up to the people who handle zmod but if it doesn't then the chances of seeing a CVPI is slim. You'll have to delete all the RPH files from your directory first and then drag the new ones in. if the stations don't show up you may have to manually type it in the console by pressing F4 and typing LoadPlugin 'LSPD First Response.dll' if that works, then when you're finished go into your directory and open startup.rphs with notepad and add it to the file, then it will just load automatically.
