LCPD does a house call
Take a closer look - all the cars are empty, that's LCPD new response policy: an empty car drives much much better than a cop behind the steering wheel.

Officers Shoot Man With Gun As Ferguson Protests Turn Violent, Again
It's a very unfortunate tragedy that your son had a weapon. It's an unfortunate tragedy that he had to put it into an officer's face. It's not like you have anything to do with the way your son behaved himself. It's just an unfortunate tragedy that the way you educated him allowed him to have a gun and threaten people with it. So yes, my prayers (Sincerely!) go to you and your loss. I really sorry about this, because it was an officer who had to kill your son and now it's the officer who has to live with another life taken by him. It's bad when people die. But sometimes it's the only way to prevent other people from dying, and I'm more sorry that this kid's parents didn't tell him enough that you just can't break the law and you can't threaten people with gun.

Officers Shoot Man With Gun As Ferguson Protests Turn Violent, Again
I'm not that good in English, but probably you mean "martial law"? As far as I know, National Guardsmen are residents of the state they are based in, correct? So I don't think they gonna crack down hard on the protesters. I also remember that video from NYC there a Marine was yelling at police accusing them of being brutal. I'm not sure all NG support police. History says that usually police and army may have two different opinions on how to fight the inner enemy...

If he fails to appear in court I'd like to see Her Honor bringing him in herself from the streets. Maybe then she learn to treat those threats as real.

It was "hands up - don't shoot", now "I can blow your brains out but if you shoot you're a lacist"

Which City Has Its Own Spirit?
Looking at so many topics about different places, I made up my mind to start another one. The question might look simple to you, but it really interests me. So, what city that you have been to actually has its own spirit, atmosphere, something personal about this place? The only city that I've been to for a long time is Baltimore, MD, and I feel really personal towards it, however some other places where I stayed only for a few days or hours also have something special about them, while others do not. I can definitely say that NYC has something about it that makes the Big Apple unique - whether it's Brooklyn or Manhattan or Harlem or whatever, this city has its own identity. Chicago is a wonderful place for sure, leaves an impression even if you spend only a day there. Those steel curbs and narrow streets! D.C. is also impressive, especially the downtown area. Suburbs do look quite general though. I was disappointed that Las Vegas didn't impress me at all: some concrete cubs in the middle of a desert with casinos inside. Pity. European cities have even more of that special thing the way I see it. London, Ashford, Edinburgh (one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, while Glasgow left no mark), Luxembourg, small French or German towns... So, which city has some personal about it, in your opinion? I'd like to hear some Americans as well since it's a common opinion that most U.S. cities are alike.

Rei Ayanami, of course. Never understood how can anyone need Asuka when there's Rei? And I'd go with Fox Mulder too.

What Continent Are You Living On?
That's why Australia is so hard to immigrate in, I guess.

What is your hometown?
I was born in a small town named Orel (means Eagle in English), it was completely devastated during WWII, so all the buildings there are ugly-as-hell or boring-as-hell Soviet constructions. But I live in a different place whole my life - in the best city in Russia.

Vladimir Putin Just Invited Fatty Kim Jong Un To Russia
Putin just hates to celebrate the anniversary alone. It sucks, I know, all my birthdays were like this. I invited Obama once, but he failed to attend, guess I have to invite Kim too

Are these cases of excessive police force?
Thanks, I guess the article describes it in a bit different way so all looks correct. At least he left the man alive and didn't shoot him... Sometimes America scares me.

Are these cases of excessive police force?
The article is about a deputy who arrested a suspect on parole with usage of a pepper spray, can't find about moving a vehicle...

2 NYPD Cops Shot and Killed Eating Lunch
Oh G, what does it have to do with "corruption" and "brutality"? Don't make killers look like heroes, please. This piece-of-shit shooter came from B-more, where he shot his own girlfriend, now how's that for a "social protest". I'm not gonna deny that NYPD is trigger-happy, but if police are murdered while sitting in their car and eating lunch, how their gonna behave on calls? I would be ready to shoot on sight too.

Petition
Сould someone please explain me what this is all about? In russia a felon after doing time has his criminal record valid for a certain period. For the worst crime this period is ten years. After ten years this record means no more, and this person has nothing barring him from entering the government service or whatever else. Of course, people may treat him differently and, for example, may refuse to hire him just because of him being a criminal (but they have to make up a lawful excuse). Is that any different in America? What's the purpose of this bill?

If Called To Arms, Would You Fight For Your Country?
That awkward moment when nobody loves you v_v Even more interesting, if some weaker NATO members were attacked (say Latvia, Estonia, etc) by the scary russian bear for example, would France, Germany, Britain step in? And I mean the actual military involvement, not just economical sanctions.

Nice try, KGB, but I'm not gonna say here that I'm ready to commit a treason.

Teenager suiciding after being persecuted by extremely violent trolls
The real sad thing in this story is that this poor kid apparently had no one IRL who matter for him more than internet morons. A friend, parents, someone close to him.

DASHCAM VIDEO: Kelvin Plain Jr. Rams Squad Cars In Waterloo, IA
I'm glad they didn't kill him. Serving years for an assault on an officer with a deadly weapon will give him plenty of time to reflect on his driving techniques. Still surprised where those crazy people come from in US.

Anti-Islam Marches In Germany
It ain't the conflict, it's the sudden change of mind by the Court. Why would they now de-terrorize HAMAS, especially if HAMAS is connected to many terrorism cases, murders, money laundering and so on.
-
Anti-Islam Marches In Germany
Now it's a nice time to notice that the General Court of the EU has declared HAMAS a non-terrorist organization because the original decision was based "not on acts examined and confirmed in decisions of competent authorities but on factual imputations derived from the press and the internet." This leaves some room for amending the decision, but still... Hamas ain't terrorists?..
