About to apply yet another update, this one is to the outstanding calls. I've completely redone them, we will now all see the same outstanding calls at the same time, notes etc can be added to them by dispatchers and once an officer takes a call, it will be removed from the workload. Also new calls can be received at random adding to the overall workload (you'll see what I mean if you get one).

Finally finished the messaging system! Other changes and updates: -When Prosecutors issue a fine an automated means enquiry warrant will be issued. -When prosecutors deal with a case (quash or prosecute) you will receive a message informing you of the outcome. -Dispatchers can also query any on-duty officers' availability through the messaging system. All reported bugs have also been addressed. Thanks for those.

I've added automatic warrants being issued when a prosecutor completes a crime report with a fine. I've also added a prison timer, prosecutors can specify a jail term which will be translated into either 7, 14, 21, 28 days in real life after which the person will be released from prison.

Added the ability to add corroborating officers to your cases, they can view, update and submit reports for the case in question! http://mdc.lcpdfr.com/news.php On the My Inquiries page click the "CORROBORATING OFFICERS" button next to the case you wish to add/remove officers from. Everyone check your workbasket, I've added an example case.

Fixed all of the reported bugs, thanks for reporting them! I've also added a lot more people to the database, fixed a few things with warrants and searching persons' records. Was working on private messages so you can send messages to other officers, dispatchers can query availability and so forth but I've run into some issues which I've been working on fixing and have yet to solve, so I'll be leaving that aside for a bit. I'm still working on the vehicle check and almost completed an update to cases/inquiries. Weekend off so, more soon!

I've added several fixes and updates to the chat, it will now properly display a list of active users and give you a time they were last active. The messages will now also display top to bottom instead of bottom to top. Join your fellow officers in the live chat! http://mdc.lcpdfr.com/chat.php

Everyone I've been rather busy over the past few months, I should hopefully be active again shortly. Please direct any applications you have to A.Bowers/Wags8890 and/or jacko999 in the first instance, CC me into the application and I'll update any accounts that need it at the recommendation of either of the aforementioned two. Cheers

EFLC Vs GTA IV
If you're a fan of GTA: Vice City then you'll be filled with fervor to know EFLC has a Vice City radio station! And I second the comment re being more stable with mods.

Siren and Airhorn problem
heddlu I would guess either the sound file is too large or it's not encoded properly. Make sure it's saved in the correct .wav format and it's not too large. If you can't get it working you can always send me them and I'll sort it for you.

Assistance required with CPU
Why was my last given -1? Anyway... I haven't tried a stress test as that's something I don't know what or how to do. Any links I could have a look at? I don't know what the fan is, how can I find this out?

Anywhere from 10-30 seconds. They always correspond exactly with the CPU speed drops.

I have indeed. I've tried removing all modifications, I've tried fresh install with nothing else installed. I then had windows re-installed and my RAM ungraded and the first thing I installed was vanilla GTAIV:EFLC, still it dipped in speed. I used a tool which monitored the CPU speed, I ran GTAIV:EFLC and alt-tabbed when the lag began and my CPU was down at 800 or so. I've checked every time there has been lag and every time the CPU speed is down at 800 odd. I've also ran GTAIV in windowed mode in which I sat and watched the CPU speed dip, lo and behold, the framerate in GTA plummeted as a result.

Ah yes of course, it is an "AMD Phenom II 4x 955 Processor 3.21 GHz".

Hello According to "Can you run this" my computer surpasses the recommended requirements for GTAIV. GTAIV runs very nicely on my computer however it has always plauged me with bouts of lag and my FPS will drop to 10 or below for a short period of time. There was never any explanation for this and I have tried every possible remedy I could find, from playing with the graphics settings (low, medium, high) to no modifications, to no background processes, to fresh install, to overclocking my CPU and GPU to even re-installing windows 7 and finally to upgrading from 4GB RAM to 8GB. And GTAIV still suffers from these - seemingly - inexplicable bouts of lag. Finally, through perseverance, I found the cause of this lag. It appears my CPU "frequency" drops from 3200mhz to around 800mhz which is not enough to run GTAIV and thus GTAIV lags beyond belief. Now this is nothing to do with the settings in GTAIV because it runs flawlessly at all low, all medium and even all high with ENB and car modifications installed! So this is obviously an issue with my CPU. So my question is, why is my CPU dropping its speed and how do I rectify this? I've look around and I've changed my power setting for my computer to high performance, it still feels the need to dip every now and again. My computer was brand new and custom built in January 2011, from the first moment I played GTAIV, I've experienced the aforementioned problem. I hope someone here with more knowledge than I can assist me because this is beyond me. Cheers

Should I be worried?
I don't know enough about computers to really tell you if you can use ENB or not. What I can tell you is I've tried umpteen versions of ENB in my EFLC 1020 and my computer has yet to blow up on me. Some of them work and look rather nice, others are too bright or too dark and are useless. Maybe I underestimate the risk but the only problem ENB has ever caused me is crashing GTA, I like to think my computer will simply stop working and crash before completing breaking itself. It also seems ENB is simply some extra textures and a bit of bloom added and some fancy reflections. I don't have a super computer, regular GTAIV I usually get (according to Fraps) around 20-30 fps with ENB that drops to 15-20 fps but still playable. If you don't want to try it though you give RealityIV a bash, it gives the game a fantastic look during the day: http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/realityiv-162-timecycle-mod-f7929

We're in need of more prosecutors and especially moderators. The crime reports are building up and there's going to end up being a massive back log of cases to be worked. Also I'm a busy chap and there's always quite a lot of new accounts registering, they need to be checked and activated by moderators. We also need moderators to actively clean up crime reports/tickets/warrants etc and manage any accounts that require removal. I'm going to carry out a review of those with positions to check a) their activity levels and b) if their interest still exists. PM me if you're interested in these positions. Please do not chase up any message you've sent me previously - I do read them all but I won't always reply. I'm looking at making a few additions to the system shortly, I'd like to ideally re-do the crime reporting but first we need to make everything look a bit nicer. The LC Police will predominately be in-charge of the MDC and will have access to a lot more features and I'm thinking of having a group of supervisors/auditors/intermediaries who will be responsible for checking crime reports before they are submitted to the prosecution. Also prison sentences given to folk will be translated into days/weeks so they'll eventually be released from prison. Night shifts shortly and then time off so I should be able to start on those changes. PM myself or rushlink and we can get that sorted for you.
