  1. I've had the weekend off so I've been working on the prosecution stuff. Anyone willing to work this role please PM me your username and a little about why you'd like to do it. I ask that only those who have experience with the legal system (US and/or UK or other) to apply as you will have quite a lot of decisions to make. Can I also ask that you try to use generic phrasing, do not use any UK or US specific terms or codes or anything. I want to keep everything to plain English so it can apply to more than one police and legal system. Cheers
  2. You are correct it doesn't integrate into the game (I don't have the capability to do so unfortunately). It's 100% roleplay. The outstanding calls are there to give you a base to work from. The rest is up to you when you arrive to roleplay.
  3. In real life unless they're causing a problem (begging people for money outside a shop, ATM etc) there's not much you can other than offer advice.
  4. Would anyone be interested in roleplaying as a prosecutor? As you all (should) know, the police do not prosecute, prosecution is the responsibility of the crown/district attorney. What happens is an approved reporting agency (such as the police) submit a report to the prosecutor, who then decides if there is enough evidence to pursue the charge(s) and if charging the accused is in the public interest. Some times prosecutors can issue fines, but if a higher fine, jail term, community service etc is more appropriate a court hearing is requested. So what I would look to do is mark some accounts with "Prosecutor" status which would allow them to work crime reports. They would be responsible for: Deciding whether or not to pursue charges put fourth in crime reports by officers based on evidence quality and public interest; Deciding if a fine or court hearing is appropriate for the case; Deciding the outcome of the case. They could also ping crime reports back to officers if further inquiry is required to obtain more evidence and finalise and file reports after prosecution or a decision has been reached.
  5. Ah yes I have seen your website before. The arranged times are not suitable for me.
  6. There's no way of doing that at the moment. I may consider trying to do that in the future. Reason why I asked - in my original post - if anyone was interested in founding a 'virtual police force' was because I was going to customise and make the system exclusive for us and any memers.
  7. This and a number of other errors have been fixed. Everything should be good to go, I've tested most of the stuff. Annual leave finished so I have less time to commit to the system. Do highlight any further issues to me though.
  8. The PHP settings indeed show error logging is turned on and there is an error_log somewhere. Question is where, I've looked everywhere and can't locate it at all.
  9. Can you lads do me a favour and highlight the PHP error message between the "PHP Error Message" and "Free Web Hosting" boxes and copy-paste that here please? I need to know where they're coming from. It's hard to find them all myself!
  10. Several updates including new calls and persons checks complete! Please ensure you read the below page before using the system, the biggest point being use the "Generate person(s) at incident" on the My Inquiries page to generate ALL persons details you use in your work. using them means it builds up a virtual record for each person which other officers can access via person checks etc. Avoid making up or using persons' details from LCPD:FR in this tool. Do report bugs. And have fun! http://crimegen.site90.net/guide.php
  11. I'm still working on some updates. Both Intelligence and operations are complete. I've also completely re-done how reports, tickets etc are displayed. Now ANY box you type into will show all spaces etc you use without having to use <br> or <p>. I'm working on adding a database of random suspects and witnesses with addresses which you can randomly select to put in your reports. This way you can search for a person's name and find their address, DOB and any previous calls they've made or any tickets they've had, any reports or write offs they've been involved in. I like the sound of the traffic stop page. However I'm unsure if LCPD:FR randomises both fore and surnames (if so it'll be rare for two people to have the same person) or if the entire name is the same for everyone. If we could find this out that would make your idea much more practical.
  12. Sorry for double post but just to say I've updated quite a bit, notebook added and writing off generic cases completed. You can also pass inquiries to other officers via your workbasket. I'm thinking of wiping all crime sheets, write offs and tickets so that everything can start a fresh. Anyone have any objection? There's been a lot of excellent written reports submitted and I don't want to just delete them without prior warning.
  13. You can now write off calls as 'no crime to be reported' if you need to. You can also manually add incidents into your workbasket. And when you select a call to attend, the live status updates automatically to show you attending a call at the locus from the call. Also I've added a generic workbasket which every officer can see, in there will be cases to be worked by everyone. Still to do crime reporting and writing off for generics.
  14. Yeah I was going to add a notebook feature. Anything else you'd like to see? Integration to LCPD:FR I don't know how and if that would work, it would be fantastic. I agree with a previous post that we need to be able to get people's details and do checks on them while on foot, not just vehicle stops. I'm sure they will add this in due course. You can't add cases manually yet I'll let you know when it's complete. Few more days of annual leave so I still have some time to get more stuff sorted.
  15. Sure, sign in with: testaccount password123 The idea is to try and simulate a working police system in which other officers are also contributing to, you can see what other officers are doing.
  16. Further updates: You can now submit incident updates for cases in your work basket, you can also submit a crime report for cases which will automatically store and then remove the details from your inquiries. Anything else anyone would like to see added?
  17. What's your Officer ID? I think your password may have been altered to stop "mysql injections" which I had spend quite a bit of time trying to stop, as I said I'm not a programmer so I've had to do a lot of research. Time well spend in my days off? Haha. But what I'll do is delete your account and try re-registering. Also, calls are now added to your personal inquiries! I'm still working on it so bare with me if the thing starts moaning about error this and that, I'll post back when I've finished.
  18. Added quite a bit - new accounts have been allowed to login now.
  19. I've added logins for each officer, you will have to register from the main page. I'll be removing the test account shortly. I'll also be working on the status updates for each unit which I quite like the sound of.
  20. EDIT 18/12/2011 I'm very pleased to announce that the LCPD:FR staff have kindly allowed me to move the system to their servers!! So, effective immediately, please access the following link to get to the system: mdc.lcpdfr.com Report bugs at: mdc.lcpdfr.com/report_bug.php (Make sure it hasn't already been reported: http://mdc.lcpdfr.com/view_bugs.php) The report a bug and view bugs links can also be found at the bottom of the index page (outstanding calls). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT 06/11/2011 Please ensure you read the details after logging in before using the system. The main point being please use the "Generate person(s) at incident" on the My Inquiries page to generate ALL persons details you use in your work. using them means it builds up a virtual record for each person which other officers can access via person checks etc. Avoid making up or using persons' details from LCPD:FR in this tool. Use the "Generate person(s) at incident" tool for persons' details. Please do report any bugs you find. And have fun! http://crimegen.site90.net/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original message: I'm not sure if I've posted this here before or not, I can't seem to find it. I have posted it on GTApolicemods.com. It was originally made to go hand in hand with LCPD:FR so I'll post it here too. I thoroughly enjoy LCPD:FR and I like to take the game one step further by role-playing. Now I'm not the best programmer nor have I any intentions to be a programmer, however I wanted more detailed calls in the game and I decided to try and make something, from scratch. So after a little reading up on HTML and PHP I had a go, and this is what I came up with. Let me know your thoughts and any suggestions. I do plan on adding more calls and other things when time prevails. I suppose it's more suited to an online environment - would anyone be interested in founding a "virtual police force"? EDIT: You'll now need to register your own file, the test account has been closed.
  21. I play in accordance with UK law. So just in case anyone else does, in the UK, the Road Traffic Act creates an offence to drive a motor vehicle without the correct licence and to drive a motor vehicle whilst disqualified ("revoked" - must re-take test after disqualification period). Driving without a licence would see the vehicle being seized, and the driver reported, later appearing at court. Penalty points on the licence will follow (if no licence, they will be applied if and when they obtain one) and most likely a fine. If caught driving while banned then powers of arrest do exist and most likely will be used. A fine will be imposed by the court and an extension to the ban is very likely. So while in-game - much like the others - I'd issue a fine to those without a licence and seize the vehicle, and arrest those who are banned.
