Hi, I would GREATLY appreciate if you could answer the following question: Should I get GTA IV or GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City?
GTA: EFLC includes GTA:IV anyway (at least mine does) however the EFLC games are simply GTA:IV with extras so it makes no difference which you use. I have never experienced a mod not working which has worked on GTA:IV.

That was entertaining, lol! The game brought back memories too, I'm definitely going to watch more of his videos. While we're at it, here's two particularly hilarious commentated videos: I'd also recommend AVGN's videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/jamesnintendonerd Hours of entertainment.

Lag Spikes?
As above consider overheating. I didn't think that would make any difference at all but I was suffering from crazy textures disappearing constantly (roads, buildings sometimes everything bar cars would disappear) and the odd bit of lag also. This was happening whilst my PC was sat against a surface with the side vent covered. I decided to try moving it so the vent would no longer be blocked and, just like magic (really), textures stopped disappearing and the lag stopped completely.

Breathalyser Script - Traffic Management Demonstration
Version 1.5 has been released, I've made several changes to the script, most notably the ability to set the keys in the ini file! Download:

If I understood you correctly, no it won't stop pedestrians on foot, only in vehicles.

Breathalyser Script - Traffic Management Demonstration
Please don't stop working on yours on account of what I've done! I'm in no way a programmer and my script doesn't work anywhere near where I'd like it to. One major gripe I have is I'd rather the car you're facing would stop instead of the closest one to your overall position.

Breathalyser Script - Traffic Management Demonstration
In the following video I demonstrate using the traffic management commands in my Breathalyser Script to control the road traffic at an incident. It was getting rather annoying when the AI traffic would just get in the way any time I was trying to deal with something on the road, so I decided to try and fix the problem. This is my attempt. Note: Cars behind those you stop will not attempt to overtake. Instead they will wait patiently; which means you don't have to stop every single vehicle in a queue on a busy street. Also note: The fire was generated by a FDLC/EMS script I was toying around with, I may look to having it spawn more random fires and injured persons at some point and release it for those who are into that sort of thing. Update 30/07/2012: 1.5 released, I've made several changes to the script, most notably the ability to set the keys in the ini file! Download:

My point being startairsoft and kickdownGTA sound exactly the same. Further note the second person in both videos above sound exactly the same as the second person from most of starairsoft's videos.

Textures begin to load slow then finally disappear! Help!
It's not going to be ELS. I have ELS and several script and car mods installed, I find the game can get a little laggy with all the settings on high. It's more than likely a combination of high graphics settings and car mods. I can play the game on all high settings + full draw distance, but with mods I need to turn the draw distance down or I notice a little lag. Adding in ENB or a timecyc mod causes the textures to go haywire and load really slowly or even disappear completely. Understand that with full draw distance on and high graphics settings your computer has to render all those car mods driving around (even the ones you can't see but are within the draw distance radius), plus the one your driving, plus all of the shadow and other assorted details. I would like a fix for this too so I can have all the mods, full draw distance plus a lovely ENB installed. But I fear the only fix would be a better graphics card or less car mods (however I don't know a great deal about computers and an even less amount about hardware so don't quote me).

I have this issue when I have ENB/ICE installed with several car mods. It's definitely not a RAM issue, I have 8GB.

Breath test trouble. Can anyone please help.
You don't have to be on duty. ALT+G will only work if you're close (~ 5 meters) to the vehicle you wish to stop (it doesn't work whilst in a vehicle), ensure you don't have anything in the trainer or LCPDFR (or any other mods) using ALT+G as it may not work properly. Generally it's better to use LCPDFR to pull a vehicle over, then conduct a breath test during the stop as the ALT+G feature wasn't intended to be used as a replacement for pull-overs; rather a way to stop vehicles - while on foot - from interfering with your scene.

- Version 1.6
I've put together a simple script which can be used to role-play a road-side breath test. A traffic stop isn't complete without a breath test! At the minute the test will work anywhere close to a vehicle with a driver and the results will show up as text to the top of the screen. It doesn't look great I know but unfortunately I'm not sure how to have text display elsewhere yet. The limit is set to the real limit in the UK, namely 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. If a driver blows over the limit (36+) there is a chance they will attempt to flee from you. You can change the limit and the type of test (US or UK) in the ini file. The US test will show a percentage of BAC. Things I'd like to change: Set keys in ini file Completed in Version 1.5+! Use pictures (from the MDC) in-game of a breath testing kit with a different display for each result If not pictures, have results show as text somewhere else on screen Start only if you're stood beside the driver's door Traffic management I've also included three extra commands in the script, one to stop the closest vehicle, one to allow the closest vehicle to drive on and another to allow any vehicles you stop to drive on. If you stop a vehicle in this manner, vehicles to the rear will not attempt to haphazardly over-take, they will queue up and wait. Gone are the days of large-scale incidents being infested by horrible AI driving trying to do everything in their power to get in your way! Further details in the included Read.txt file. NOTE ON STOPPING VEHICLES: You must be on foot and close to (~5 metres) the vehicle you wish to stop with this script. It will NOT work whilst you're in a vehicle as it is not intended to replace the LCPDFR traffic stop feature. Rather it's purpose is to assist you in keeping traffic stopped and out of the way of your incident.- 24 comments

Things I'd like to change: Have an ini file to set the legal limit and keys Use pictures (from the MDC) in-game of a breath testing kit with a different display for each result Start only if you're stood beside the driver's door I've also included two extra commands in the script, one to stop a vehicle and another to allow any vehicles you stop to drive on. Fix what? I think you misunderstood my message. By wipe I mean clear out all of the crime reports, tickets and write-offs to start a fresh and allow the prosecutors to regain control over the reports. 133 crimes to be dealt with and over 200 write-offs, we don't have enough active prosecutors to reduce that down to a more manageable amount given new reports and write-offs are being regularly submitted.
