LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced and Upcoming Site Upgrades
We're excited to share the latest updates on projects bringing LSPDFR and RAGE Plugin Hook to GTA 5 Enhanced Edition alongside refreshing our entire website - with new features, a new design and a more fluid experience.
LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced
With the recent release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition @LMS has been working on porting RAGE Plugin Hook. While still in its early development stages, RPH is now successfully running on the Enhanced Edition with most of the basic features working, including running small plugins and DX12 rendering. In addition, our biggest LSPDFR update ever is currently in closed-beta testing and we hope to have more news on it soon.
Below are some screenshots of these previously console-only vehicles being spawned through RPH in the Enhanced Edition.

RPH on Apple Silicon
As part of the port to the Enhanced version and DX12 support, we have streamlined some core systems, now allowing RPH and LSPDFR to run on Apple Silicon. We're still addressing performance issues and visibility concerns before considering a potential future patch.

Website Platform Update and Invision Community 5
We're in the early stages of migrating from Invision Community 4 to 5, which will transform our entire platform.
This update combines rewrites of Invision Community core features with rewrites of our own software to provide users with a faster and cleaner experience. Community members will enjoy a fresh design and responsive theme that follows your OS dark mode decision. On top of this, substantial effort across the board has been made to fix performance issues.
Most of the changes to our new platform are behind the scenes, but the most visible improvement you'll see, apart from the general design change, is the new editor. This new editor comes with many improvements and is easy to use. It also introduces some new features, like Content Boxes, that will make structuring mod download pages a little bit better.
We hope to provide further updates over the coming weeks and months as we prepare this for release.

cityboy reacted to DCarausu in Small / Large Tow Truck Issue? Is anyone also unable to tow with the small and large vehicles they used before the new update? Since I updated, I can only tow with the Flatbed and LSPDFR tells me the vehicle does not support towing, which both did for all versions prior to. I also removed and reinstalled the vehicles, but no luck. No game crashes as a result though.

cityboy reacted to UnknownBastion in Small / Large Tow Truck Issue? This is an active bug with StopThePed. For now, you can only use the Flatbed.

cityboy reacted to DCarausu in Small / Large Tow Truck Issue?Wow, thank you @UnknownBastion !!
I didn't know and tried to look it up before I asked to not double down on similar topics - hope I didn't.
Thank you for how quick you replied! 🤙

cityboy reacted to LMS in New scripthook VUsually a few days, but Alexander Blade (author of Script Hook) lives in Kharkiv in Ukraine and this is probably not very high up his list of priorities right now.

cityboy reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4.9 - Now Available!Lessons from the virtual world, for the real world, in LSPDFR 0.4.9
We're back with another update for LSPDFR 0.4 which introduces a small handful of new features, as well as a couple of changes to the way in which the core pursuit system within the mod works.
Before we get to that though, the key headline of LSPDFR 0.4.9 - and something that we're really excited about - is that we've partnered with researchers at two major North American research universities: Brigham Young University (BYU) and the University of British Columbia (UBC) to explore the real-world research potential of LSPDFR, and the role that it could play in helping to understand how people react and behave in a law enforcement environment.
I know this might sound like a big change from the sort of updates that most of you who follow our work will be familiar with - and it certainly is in many aspects, but this doesn’t represent a fundamental change to LSPDFR itself, nor does it imply any significant changes to the way in which players will approach or interact with the mod. Instead, we've created an opt-in system, similar to the statistics features already integrated into the mod with LSPDFR Sync, where with merely an enhanced level of in-game stats tracking, you'll be able to contribute towards our research with two top institutions by simply playing the mod.
To this end, we've added a new, simple call to LSPDFR that is used to support the survey data by following a more predictable pattern as compared to our traditional callouts within the mod. Note that nothing changes in this regard if you choose not to take part in the study, and you can still play the new call as normal.
The new 'Arrest Warrant' call in LSPDFR 0.4.9 has you query the Police Computer and respond to a suspect's residence.
By gathering together these statistics with the player’s response to a couple of in-game scenarios, we’re hopeful that we can use this data to better understand how players, and by extension, law enforcement might react in certain situations in the real world.
There's more information about our research study over at https://research.lcpdfr.com/ where you can also opt in to take part. I should note that as a thank you for helping with this, the universities have given us a couple of $50 Amazon gift cards that anyone who participates in the study will be entered into a lottery to win.
Changes to pursuits, a new apartment and more interaction.
Back on the topic of the other stuff in LSPDFR 0.4.9, though, one of the biggest changes that you'll notice affects the NPC police response to pursuits, bringing a new sense of variety to the way in which situations can be handled by responding officers. Instead of all pursuits within LSPDFR being treated exactly the same, we've split up the system into two modes: Investigation and Chase.
A new 'confrontation' during an investigation, conducted entirely by NPC officers.
In the Investigation state, we no longer consider a Pursuit to be an actual chase - if that makes sense. Instead, there's a little room for diversity in the actions of the officers and the suspects, rather than just someone running and the officers following. So, in our initial implantation of this we've created a new response scenario where the responding officers will approach a suspect at a walking pace, usually with a hand on their holster. They'll point at the suspect, call out for them to stop, and the system then takes over from there depending on the suspect's response, with the potential the suspect to either resist and escalate the Pursuit into the Chase state (which is what we're all currently familiar with), or for them to surrender peacefully and be arrested without any theatrics.
Moving on from this change, there's a couple of new features that've snuck their way in to LSPDFR 0.4.9 as well, including a new Downtown Los Santos apartment that not only boasts an absolutely killer city view, but is also conveniently opposite the FIB and IAA buildings - perfect for those of you that like your LSPDFR with a side of paperwork and federal bureaucracy.
You can also now seamlessly sit down on most chairs and benches throughout the game world with the tap of a button.

We hope that you enjoy this update for LSPDFR and that you'll also help us out with our new research project, which we think is a really worthwhile opportunity for all of us and something that will be genuinely rewarding to take part in - it's not every day that major universities partner up with a game mod and we're thrilled to be able to take part in this.
If you are having problems with LSPDFR 0.4.9, please do not post about them in this topic, but use the support forums instead.
Before you do, though, read through this topic: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/89691-read-will-save-your-time-common-issues-fixes-and-bugs/
There are a lot of fixes for common problems in there.

cityboy reacted to BlueLine Vibes in Help! Mod crash on load!Well SH and RPH is udpated now. Just need to wait for LSPDFR to update. Should be soon.
-
cityboy reacted to BlueLine Vibes in New UpdateHard question to answer to be honest. I know Script Hook V has been updated. This is the one that usually takes 3-14 days to update, but Alexander Blade was pretty fast on this one. RagePluginHook is updated as well and I know RPH and G17 Media is usually pretty fast with the updates. So look for LSPDFR update pretty soon.

cityboy reacted to PNWParksFan in Mod upload is unbearably slowI am trying to upload a new version of Coastal Callouts, which is around 1 GB total of files. The file upload is excruciatingly slow - it appears to be going about 1.5 Mbps. I have 100 Mbps fiber internet and no issues uploading to other services, so I suspect it's some sort of rate limiting on the site. Can you please look into this, it makes updating mods very painful.

cityboy reacted to CallamDavies in Adding vehicles to agencyIt’s relatively easy really, go into lspdfr in the gta v directory and go into data and find agency.xml, scroll down and find fib or LSSD(whichever agency you want to add to) keep note fbi agency doesn’t ambiently spawn, lspd will and LSSD use these if you want too see the vehicles driving around and as backup.
Where is says <vehicle>model</vehicle> Just copy this line right underneath and set it as police old. Should look like this:
<vehicles>
<vehicle>FBI</vehicle
<vehicle>policeold1</vehicle>
<vehicle>policeold2</vehicle>
</vehicle>
Also so if you have EUP go into custom inside the data folder and change the same line in the agency_eup xml.
if your adding to an agency backup.xml will not need to be changed.
this should ambiently spawn the vehicles around the map and allow them as backup, aslong as the agency ambiently spawns anyway. I.e lspd & lssd
edit: you can add <flag>SpawnsAmbiently</flag>
To the flags if You want fib to spawn like police
Callam.

cityboy reacted to Westcoaster in Unlimited LSPDFR SyncI've noticed that the LSPDFR Sync program can only handle a maximum of three characters. It would be nice if it supported an unlimited number of characters, or at least more than three.

cityboy reacted to danksg in LSPDFR 0.4 - Now AvailableThanks for sharing! Here's what I have on my end so far:
Not Working (for me at least):
1. Interaction+ (Causes LSPDFR plugin to crash whenever I walk up to a pulled over suspect. When interacting with peds on the street and the menu pops up, fps drops by 10-20.)
2. ALPR Lite (Causes LSPDFR plugin to crash whenever something is detected.)
3. Search Warrant (Nothing happens whenever I initiate a search.)
4. Traffic Policer (Plugin won't even load.)
Working:
1. Realistic Guns Sounds (If this is the one you're referring to https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/realistic-weapons-sounds.)
2. Cop Holster
3. Spotlight
4. Cheep Callouts (So far the most stable callout pack for me. Some others I've tried [Tacco, Highway] seem to always trigger close to my current location which thus causes the callout to immediately end.)
5. EUP* (Works, and this is a must have: https://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/22088-eup-outfit-settings-for-lspdfr-04/. Basically causes the NPC police officers to spawn with EUP outfits.
*Disclaimer: I have encountered one small problem which is my LSPD outfits are not able to have rank decals (only the stripes, Lieutenant onwards is fine). This seemed to have only started after I installed EUP. But I'm kinda okay with that.

cityboy reacted to Beren in LSPDFR 0.4 - Coming February, 2019@BlueLineBacker True enough, we all have to make sacrifices to get the most out of what the community here offers. I'm actually down to playing with 20FPS on average due to the callout plugins I've added as well as having independent departments in different areas around San Andreas with their own NPC entries, cars, etc.

cityboy reacted to Alb1nowolf in Search Warrant not workingI tried reinstalling Darkmyre's plugin needed for their scripts, it's possible the file in the download itself might be out of date, I don't know for sure. There's other places to find the DarkmyreAPI. Sorry if this isn't much help; I don't really know why it just seemed to start working. I had to fiddle with it a bit.
