  1. False, I like all forms of music when done correctly. I prefer Classic Country though. The person below me is from Texas like me.
  2. GTA 5 though....... God I hope it's moddable, and doesn't crash. If it is, I'll personally be using Texas DPS State Troopers while I run traffic on the highway. I think I'm getting too far ahead of myself though.
  3. Well I just downloaded the Saint Paul Police Department CVPI and I'm loving it. It's incredibly low poly, yet high quality so it's not crashing my game at all.
  4. Well the model looks AMAZING!!! May I ask if it's low poly? If so, you've got a download.
  5. Hello, I was wondering if someone would be willing to create 2 models for me. I would really like both of them to be low poly (DSF) because the high poly vehicles crash my game. I am able to use CJ24's NYPD CVPI if that is any reference. I don't need the interiors detailed, nor do I need the engine or trunk detailed. Just the lights, and skins. Also no need for multiple liveries. But it's all at modder's discretion. Like most police vehicles, if you're standing at the back of either of these cars, red is on the left, blue is on the right. I'm not 100% sure what the text at the back side of the Conroe PD vehicle says. All I can get out of it is 911. But the modder may absolutely change this. I don't mind. I also don't know what the "Shield" is on the Conroe PD vehicle. Again, the modder may change this. I would sincerely appreciate two low poly, yet high quality (as much as you can get) vehicles from my local area. Whoever does this has my appreciation, thanks, and gratitude.
  6. May I say I LOVE your profile pic?
  7. No joke, it's exactly like any other 360 controller. There is no lag in between button mashing. It feels like I'm playing the best Xbox in the world ha ha
  8. Yes, if you Google Microsoft Controller for Windows Live, it will show you the Black Wired Controller (make sure it's wired) for about $39.99. If you have Windows 8 64 bit it's as easy as plug and play... Literally. No software required, just plug it into the USB port either in the front or back of the PC. It's only showing you that because that's what's required to run the software. Windows 8 64 bit however, doesn't need any software. Just plug and play. They will send you a disc with it for Windows 7, but simply toss that out the window.
  9. Check my previous post, I modified it as I checked out Newegg's pricing. Just grab one you like from there. I use an Xbox controller aswell (I came from the 360 community) and got it from Microsoft. Just Google Microsoft Controller for Windows Live.
  10. Well as most people will say, as far as AMD vs Intel, it's honestly your choice. In my opinion, Intel overcharges for the same amount of quality, while only using 4 cores. But it doesn't make Intel bad or anything. When it comes to those two companies, either choice is the right one. If you buy a pre-made PC it will run smooth just like mine, however..... It will cost a lot more because they charge you for labor, processing, and shipping. A pre-made PC that costs $1,200 would only cost you around $800 in parts. But if you're going to get one pre-made I would personally suggest Newegg.com They show you the PC specs and most of them come with a mouse and keyboard. UPDATE: I checked Newegg for you and apparently they're better with pricing now. So I suppose you should check them out. You can get a PC almost exactly like mine (they prefer Intel) for about the same price. Good luck and Happy Gaming!!!!
  11. Well here's my build. It was around $1,100 when I had it built about four months ago. Graphics Card - Geforce GTX 770 (Asus) RAM - 8GB Kingston Blu series CPU - AMD FX 8350 8 core Operating System - Windows 8 64 bit (Always choose 64 bit) Hard Drive - 1TB Western Digital Case - Coolermaster HAF 912 Power Supply - 600w (watt) power supply from Coolermaster Motherboard - Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 (or R.20, I don't remember but you'll see it) I got all of these parts from pcpartpicker.com / I would recommend getting someone to build it for you if you don't know how to do so. I was told it was easy and believed it, but when I got to the wiring I was lost. I got mine built at CNC (a local store) but you should find someone who will do it. You can always go to a local Best Buy and talk to the Geek Squad, those guys never mind helping (they're not supposed to build it, but I know several people who got theirs built there) and they really know what they're talking about. They can help you decide which monitor is best for you because they don't all hook up to any computer. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions. Select "Quote" on my comment before you do so that I can get a notification and reply back soon. :)
  12. With LCPDFR 1.0c you don't have to hit alt T anymore. Just press T twice. If it still doesn't work, try re-downloading LCPDFR and do the manual install. This has worked for some people.
  13. Just letting you know, the secondary light on the back right side glitches out for me with ELS 8. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Very nice model though, just wish it could be slightly lower poly.
  14. That's good to hear, now if you wouldn't mind... You can look on the bottom right of any of my comments and select "Answered" to go ahead and let the LCPDFR moderators know that this discussion is closed. They get a little annoyed when people don't, and I don't want you to get any "Warnings" or worse. Good day sir/ma'am.
  15. Try to make sure that dsound.dll is not just in your ASI loader file, but also somewhere in your directory. This is the same problem I ran into, but I installed Savior Enb which came with dsound.dll. As soon as I plopped it into my main directory, the game worked fine.
  16. Files/C: Drive/Program Files x86/If you downloaded from Rockstar, open the rockstar games folder, if from Steam, open the steam folder and then select Steam Apps/Common/GTA IV Double click LCPDFR folder, and the open LCPDFR config. Change what you need to, then hit file, and save. Now for your first question, which controls did you want to know?
  17. Very well done. The work you've done here is fantastic. Sadly, I'm one of the unlucky one's. Any vehicle over 6mb crashes my game. :(
  18. When that stuff happens I usually hit "~" and type reloadscripts I'm sure you knew that, but I figured if anyone else is reading this, having the same problem, and wondering what to do, hopefully now they know. :)
  19. I don't think English is his first language. Perhaps we can find out what he comfortably speaks, and attempt Google Translate or something along those lines.
  20. Hello, I realize this may be a simple question for most, but I must ask. Also I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, if not, please let me know soon. How can you tell if a vehicle is high/low poly? I know the DSF models are supposed to be low poly, but the recent posts I've been seeing seem very high poly and generally crash my game. I have since found a vehicle that I like and doesn't crash. But how can I tell if something is high/low poly?
  21. Update: I have since left Braveheart, and now use vpcallouts. Not to be confused with VipCallouts. I have never crashed while responding to a call from vpcallouts. Hope this info helps, but remember that crashing comes mostly from cars that are too high poly, or from pursuits. Well I'm able to play for up to 3 hours. These are simply my preferences, yours may differ from mine. I only modify 1 police vehicle, and I make sure the download is less than 6 mb. (CJ24's NYPD CVPI from 2013 I think) I never respond to a call that turns into a pursuit, nor do I take part in pursuits as they always crash. I have installed Braveheart's Policing Script, and therefore I press F7 to turn off LCPDFR callouts because they're mostly buggy anyway. If a pursuit starts during a traffic stop, immediately shoot the driver (works for me)
  22. I'm with you there. The most fun calls for me are the calm situations. I wouldn't mind taking reports, questioning witnesses etc.
  23. Can I make just one quick suggestion? Is it at all possible for the LCPDFR guys to give the player the option to turn on/off the pursuit feature? What I mean is, the option to completely turn off the AI's ability to flee or resist. I know this might be boring for some, but for myself and many others, this will be a life saver. The reason is, I can play for 3+ hours with no problem, but the instant that a situation turns into a pursuit, the game crashes. I now avoid calls which involve pursuits, but sometimes traffic stops turn into pursuits and BOOM... Crash. I figured since you have the option of "Hard Core" mode, maybe you could add this option and call it "Training" mode. I don't mean to beg but.... Please? Thank you for any response, and thank you for the absolutely fantastic work on this mod, honestly my favorite in any game to date!!! If you guys/gals ever decide to officially create a game based on this, I'll pay $60.00 for it. :)
