  1. I personally don't think they would create a separate site for LSPDFR, it wouldn't make any sense in my opinion. I'd imagine they'd host the modification on here, and possibly change the name of this site, so there's one big active community, rather than two separate ones. Every day there seems to be new rumors for GTA V on PC and next-gen, it's only a matter of time before it's announced, at least we can hope.
  2. OP: Is there a police station? If so, where? I'm having trouble finding police vehicles outside of wanted levels.
  3. I'm getting it on Steam for PC when it comes out. I'm looking forward to it. Few open world, action-adventure games disappoint me, so I feel good about it.
  4. The legendary engine that powered the Crown Victoria, the Grand Marquis, the Lincoln Town Car, the Marauder, the Mercury Cougar, the F-series, the E-Series, two generations of Mustangs, and many other vehicles has been discontinued. The last one was produced on May 9th, 2014, at one of Ford's assembly plants in Romeo, Michigan. This may be a bit late, but I figured this would be somewhat relevant, since a lot of people on here like Crown Victoria's, and the engine that powers it. The 4.6 may not have been the most powerful engine, nor the most efficient, but I'd definitely put it on the top 10 most reliable and easy to fix engines of all time, if there's such a thing. I'd imagine they're still producing them as crate engines, if you ever wanted to get a brand new, replacement 4.6 for your vehicle, but they're no longer marrying them to new production vehicles. Farewell 4.6. Article: http://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/ford-rolls-final-4-6-liter-v8-assembly-line/
  5. MODERATOR NOTICE Topic moved to Website & Community/ General & Miscellaneous Discussion
  6. There's an official topic on Se7ensins about it, the OP linked to it. Based on the responses, it's real. It looks pretty bare in my opinion. But it's still pretty amazing how they finally have scripts running on consoles.
  7. Samware should only be taken in small doses.
  8. Exactly. That was my favorite part of the car. Now they have these strangely deformed Dodge Durango headlights, and the back looks like a Dodge Dart too much. They shouldn't have touched the front, the back I can live with.
  9. Happy birthday bro, and congrats on the staff position! ineseri is one of the greatest members on this site, and has also been there for me when I've been down in the dumps. I can't ever repay him for all he's done for me.

  12. I wish they would at least offer a V8 option for the Taurus, as V8 engines have been proven to be more reliable in most cases. I wouldn't mind seeing a 4.6 or 5.0 with cylinder deactivation, and other aspects to improve efficiency. But it would be nice if they could create a new global RWD platform, specifically designed for police work, or at least a long-wheelbase/ widened Taurus.
  13. Yes it could, it definitely helps. I'm just talking bare bones, without that, 1 on 1, the Chrysler products usually rust faster than Ford and GM.
  14. I stand by the 4.6 V8. The Dodge Charger HEMI's have proven to not hold up to abuse as well. Most cops and mechanics will tell you that. The Charger is faster and handles better, but it ends right about there. Around here they use road salt during the winter, and the Chargers have also rusted a lot faster than the CVPI's. I could argue all day about how the CVPI is a better built car. In general I absolutely hate Chrysler products, my friend has a 2010 Dodge Charger and it already looks like Swiss cheese.
  15. As much as I'd like to see it return, it's not going to happen anytime soon. Even if it did return, it would not be the Crown Victoria we all know of. It would likely not be body-on-frame, and it would probably have a V6 engine, based on Ford's new emphasis on getting more power out of smaller engines. I don't think any petition will convince a company of Ford's size to bring it back, it's solely up to them. Give it another 10 years, and it's likely it could come back, but it won't be the same.
  16. I'm disappointed in the lack of enterable buildings. I'm disappointed in how you can't skin animals like in RDR, and then sell your gatherings. I'm disappointed in how the Vapid Stanier Police Cruiser's sit and waste away in a parking lot, and how the Taurus is constantly on patrol. You'd think they would at least have them alternate like in GTA IV. In GTA IV, I believe one island would use Vapid's on one day, the next island would use Declasse, and the last island would use Vapids on one day, for example, and it would constantly change in a cycle. But in GTA V, there doesn't seem to be a pool for police vehicle spawning. This is very unrealistic, especially when including the fact that the majority of LAPD vehicles on patrol right now are CVPI's, isn't GTA V supposed to be a somewhat near recreation? I also wish we could actually leave our vehicles idling. I can't count how many times I've had to get somewhere quickly, and I wasted 3 seconds turning on the car. Other than that, they pretty much nailed it I think, especially the police vehicle lighting. I have to thank them for that, other than the LED Vapid Stainer only emitting reflections from the side, rather than a 360 degree radius like it should.
  17. The ending of RDR is incredibly powerful in my opinion.
  18. Did you happen to save while on duty? If so, that's probably why. Also, have you tried creating a new save?
  19. It's really sad to see what this site has turned into. At times like this, I don't even want to be part of this community anymore. It used to be a place where everyone would help each other and get along. Now it seems to have turned into a competition for modders, and a place where people can advertise their clan, website and mods that aren't even hosted on here. Not every car made from scratch is going to be perfect, and just because a car is really good, that a somewhat unknown modder created, it doesn't mean that parts were ripped/ stolen. While some may actually be stolen, solid evidence has to be given proving the rip, otherwise it's not fair to the person being accused. Far too many people have been forced out of the site because of this, and asked to have their accounts deactivated. This should not happen, ever. I honestly think Cj24 does make some good points. But the problem here is that both parties are wrong. I think we, as a staff team, could have taken more action. And the modders could have reported the previews/ uploads, as we have asked many times of them to do so, rather than posting large images and useless shit. On the other hand, Cj24, you fail to realize that we can't put all of our focus on modders and their previews/ uploads. We have to monitor reports, the general forum, approve downloads, handle Multiple Account Reports (most of which don't even get handled because there's so many), and we still have 3,000+ topics to move from the forum reorganization archive. We have to divide our time equally for everything on our plate. We are a relatively small staff team for our site, especially with the absence of Break, who will hopefully return soon, and another staff member, who will never be coming back after seeing this. Those PM's posted in here are completely disrespectful and sickening, and I would understand why any volunteer staff member would want to leave this site after reading something like that. Telling someone to commit suicide is unnecessary and extreme. We have lives, and we have personal issues to deal with, especially me. We all do our best to come on here in our free time to run the site. We have asked all of you for suggestions in improving this site, but unfortunately, the only thing posted was a "LOL DIDNT READ" meme. We gave you your chance, and you blew it. Now we, unfortunately, are taking this into our own hands.
  20. Very true. A lot of ex-celebs are on there, because that's all they can get on.
  21. He's going to end up like the rest of them. Going in and out of rehab.
