Hello again, gotta be my 4th time having a issue with GTA IV and posting in the forums to seek help on the issue. Now, the issue I am having is when I start GTA IV it starts up, takes me through the R* logos, and then once I hit the menu to "PLAY" GTA IV... Crash. I have tried to delete my savegames. I have also gathered a error that apparently caused a blue screen before all this happened. The blue screen error said something about a PRT, PRL, PLR, or whatever _LIST_CORRUPT. I think it was one of those, looking like or similar to this; PRT_LIST_CORRUPT. I researched the error, but it was a bunch of gibberish to me. Some MS dev page. Could this Corrupt file be causing this? What will I need to do to fix this? Please respond ASAP! Need to get some recording done. Thanks!

Try to rename the file and remove the .ivaud extension to make it a normal File. Then go into OpenIV, goto the resident.rpf, backup the old WEAPONS file to desktop or specific folder, delete the WEAPONS file in the OpenIV window, drop the new WEAPONS file (the one without the .ivaud extension) into the resident folder in OpenIV, and then click rebuild via the File drop down menu. Hopefully that works, it does for me.

I have to agree with Hystery. It seems that you are demanding the Dev team to make your changes happen. It also seems like this is what you want. Not everyone wants the voices to be gone, not everyone whats the ambulances to be gone, not EVERYONE wants EVERYTHING you want gone, switched, or whatever. I do not agree fully with the ideas you came up with. Also you can walk normal by holding down the Alt key. That is as real as it is going to get. They cant just make them "walk normal" because that is how R* made them walk. The stuff your saying should be changed, fixed, and or made is just too much. You seem to not understand how coding and animating works. All this would require a lot of man power and time. You have to keep in mind that LCPD:FR is not a game, it is a mod for a game. Crashes are going to happen. You can't just change something that wasn't designed to be changed at all... The Dev team is working on LCPDFR as much as possible and are trying to improve it by adding new features like the coffee and the boat patrols. It isn't easy. I know you are aiming to help LCPD:FR become more realistic, but I mean, come on. It kinda seems like you are focused on these things because you want your clan to be the most realistic clan...

This would explain why I got no backup when I was in a firefight and outnumbered 10 to 1. (accidentally had a waypoint set across the map) Still very cool to know! Thanks for pointing this out.

No-one should be forced to be "Converted" to something they are not. They were born that way, they will stay that way. Unless they themselves have a problem with who they are, but still. Once again, what LMS said. (Beat me to it, dang.) The game can't really log anything because it cant boot up, at all. Making it kinda impossible to get any information on what, why, and how it is happening. You need to delete one of the source's aka, the AdvancedHookInit.asi. That file could be the trouble maker.

It's all right, but as LMS questioned. Does it crash when it restores the session? For example (the problem I had), Game loads up, gets past all screens, and gets past the "Loading..." screen then you see the game for a second then it goes back to the "Loading..." screen? or does it crash completely? Try to delete (if your O.K. with it) the oldsession.fr file, this is the autosave file created for when your game crashes, you can go back where you just were before said crash.

Do you have the Steam/Digital Version of GTA IV? Or the Hard Disc Copy?

1.) Have you tried to uninstall any other recent Modification, ENB, Script, and or Vehicle Model? Sometimes new stuff, isnt always the best. If you had any of the things listed above installed recently in your game before the crash, remove it or set the default. 2.) Try this. Dev's for LCPDFR has implemented a new tool for it to log crash errors and to relaunch your game. The tool does autosaves and makes a file called "oldsession.fr". I have found out that this actually caused problems. I fixed my issue (a bit different from yours) by deleting a file called oldsession.fr located in the GTA IV directory folder. Maybe this will fix yours? 3.)Delete your savegames (Warning, ONLY do this if you do not care about your single-player campaign! Make a backup if desired!) This may be something you dont want to hear, but it has worked too! Deleting your saves should clear up your issue's. 4.Uninstall all LCPDFR versions...and delete oldsession.fr. After doing this, relaunch the game. If the game fails to boot-up again, well you may need to uninstall GTA IV.

Hey JaredL, From reviewing the setup of the Config file for LCPDFR, this is what I think you need to do. 1.) Go to your GTA IV Directory 2.) Go to the LCPDFR Folder then open the LCPDFR file. (Configuration) 3.) Once in the file, use the Find... feature built in Notepad under the Edit tab. 4.) Type: Dialog 5.) Now in front of you, is the keybindings for the F keys. You can now edit these to what you are comfortable with! Only edit Dialog1, Dialog2, Dialog3, and or Dialog4! They should look like this (They don't have to be these exact numbers) and also, DO NOT touch the Modifier Key Keybinds! Dialog1=Numpad0 Dialog1ModifierKey=None Dialog2=Numpad1 Dialog2ModifierKey=None Dialog3=Numpad2 Dialog3ModifierKey=None Dialog4=Numpad3

This problems can erupt from, Not uninstalling the outaded any version of LCPDFR, in your situation, 1.0c. (Most likely the issue.) Other Scripts and Modifications. Please, try to uninstall both versions or just 1.0c. This should solve your crash issue's a bit. If crashes still happen, try to remove any recent script, modifaction, vehicle models, ENB's etc. as those could also be causing issue's and crashes.

I agree. I want to make sure a mod for this game is made before even buying it. I have GTA 5 for console (Xbox ONE) and it became rather boring after a bit without any other big stuff like mods (LCPDFR or LSPDFR).

This happened to me a bit ago. If the model name said noose and you renamed it and put it as a police2 or anything other than noose. That's your problem. Check the page you downloaded those files from and see what slots the model is compatible with. This can easily be a compatibility issue. If you did not have this issue before and you put these in the right slot, you can try to contact the author of the vehicles and tell him whats going on as this may not only be happening to you.
