Obama restricts military-type gear police can have
I think you miss my point. Officers should not be told what tactics to use by a general public who neither cares for the officers lives, nor knows jack shit about how police tactics work or even law enforcement. Civilians who are shot or arrested are generally criminals, and although they didn't sign up for it, they choose to live in the country or state with such laws that they broke. If they don't like the laws, they can fuck off, but if they continue to reside in said area, they must abide by them, they simply choose to break the law, and the police, by law, must stop this. In no way should both criminals and the general uneducated and uncaring public be allowed decide what the POLICE do, because they know nothing about how law enforcement works, and they don't care about risk to officers. I understand officers who join the police accepted a risk, and so do they, but I find it heavily disgusting and disrespectful that people think the risk they take to protect and serve US should be increased because some fuckers who know nothing about how law enforcement or tactics work decide they don't like the tactics. It's disgusting.

Obama restricts military-type gear police can have
I'm sorry, but are you really suggesting police must obey the every whim of the civilians? That police should knowingly change tactics, risking the death of police officers? Simply because civilians don't like their tactics? Forgive me, but I do not believe civilians are trained or have generally experienced tactical, split second decisions police officers must make to save the lives of themselves, fellow officers and civilians. The civilians are not law enforcement experts and can not be allowed tell police what tactics they can and cant use. Yes, the tactics should consider the safety of civilians, but they shouldn't disregard the safety of officers at the expense of how happy civilians are with their work. Yes, police officers signed up and know they take risks, but no matter what tactics they use they still risk everything. By allowing untrained, inexperienced and uneducated civilians in terms of tactics and law enforcement to decide what tactics the cops should use, you are effectively sending officers to their death, the officers who have to follow the tactics that the general civilian population HAPPY with, will end up dying, and very little civilians who made sure the tactics are changed will give a shit. You can't trust the running of law enforcement in the hands of untrained and uneducated civilians in terms of law enforcement. Police Officers are people. Why would you let people change their tactics just because they aren't happy with them, and knowingly send officers to their deaths. Mothers, Fathers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. They are people and should not be treated with such disrespect that untrained and uneducated civilians decide what tactics to use. The police are the ones throwing themselves in the line of fire for the civilians. The civilians do not make the risky split-second decisions that cops made. I find it utterly disgraceful that people think a police officer should be subject to such ignorance and have their lives put in danger by the tactics civilians chose.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, I love ticket time for that reason too Nothing will feel more immersive than standing Beside a sports car on the great ocean highway in a Los Santos Highway Patrol uniform while a storm goes on in the dead of night, actually filling out a speeding ticket while the lights of your bike flash behind you. Or in first person, coming in after a DUI stop, LSPD uniform all wet as you walk a drunk suspect who fled from you to the front desk, filling out an arrest report and then hauling his ass to the drunktank for the time being. Needless to say I'm very excited for LSPDFR, the current cop mods don't reallt tide you over that much for the mean time, they fill the gap just about!

Yeah, this is something I always wanted in LCPDFR. At least the part of filling out an arrest report. Now with the police station interior, we could bring them in and have that optional arrest report! Perhaps the option to attach evidence to it. Any weapon we pick up could be classed as evidence in an inventory type thing, and we could get rud of it by putting it in the station or attach it to an arrest report. We should probably have to take a handcuffed suspect to the front desk in the lobby, fill out an optional arrest report, then take them down to the cells. The same thing could be done for the opened up Sheriff stations, but after filling out the report the suspect disappears since there are no accessible cells there

Yeah, the coroner mod was one of my favourite script mods made to work with LCPDFR. A varient like this for LSPDFR would be great, considering now we have a coroners office and interior for it!

I don't mean the paramedic actually picking up the body, but maybe the body just evaporating and leading you to believe it's in the ambulance, better than bodies cluttering the streets. Although, if the paramedics dragged the bodies similar to how cops drag injured cops and civilians, he could at least drag the body to the back of the ambulance then have it disappear Is there a mod that allows me to directly change the small details on my ped, or trainer that does exactly this? By details I mean gun in holster, rank patch etc... If there is a link would be much appreciated. I hate constantly randomising my model until I get a decent one I remember now that crime scene tape only shows up on doorways after certain missions, like Lester's warehouse after he burns it down, or Floyd's apartment when Trevor kills them both.

I really hope we get to customise our officers, the different options available in GTA V look great! I'm also wondering how effective paramedics will be, if changed at all. Can paramedics be made take bodies away, even if it is teleporting the bodies away (presumably to the ambulance, or leading the player to believe so) after the paramedics announce they are DoA and finish the small report? Will there also be a way of blocking off areas, with cones, barriers etc? I'm not sure and I'm probably wrong, but I keep remembering crime scene tape being in the game

Again to add to callouts for specific types of cop, Highway Patrol could get more highway-related traffic incidents. Like car collisions, calls about drunk drivers, reckless drivers and the like. Of course normal units could get these calls, but they could be more common for the HP, as well as HP getting regular calls. There could be the option to be a security guard, like in LCPDFR. You could be a security guard that drives the armoured vans, and get missions to go to certain shops with the van. You could also be the normal stationary security guards, in the small security car, that dilli-something with the security livery, maybe tasked with patrolling an area like the LS port and respond to trespassing and the like

Of course! The ideas I state are simply speculation and ideas for the future, maybe. No harm in spreading ideas I suppose.

Another varient of callout for specific ped is Detective. I know the mod is about being a beat cop, but for both FIB and LSPD Detective you could get more homicide calls, turn up at a murder, call coroner/ambulance to remove body after blocking the scene with cones, barriers etc. Then, maybe you get a lead on the suspect and go arrest him, or it ties in with raid calls where NOOSE/FIB raid a house or building to arrest the murderer

I think a cool feature would be missions based on what kind of law enforcer you are. A prison guard should only hey prison-related callouts, maybe a job of picking up a prison bus full of prisoners from the Mission Row police station and driving it to the prison, entering and delivering the prisoners. Park Rangers should get wildlife and wilderness related callouts, like animal attacks, poaching, illegal huntings etc Maybe we could spawn as Coast guard officials and respond to emergencies on the sea or related to smuggling by boats etc NOOSE and FIB would get calls to raids or high risk warrants and other calls specific to either role Police helicopter pilots would get helicopter callouts Other general callouts that I think are fun could be a plane crash like in that mission where you chase the crashing plane, perhaps the crashed plane spawning for the callout, maybe even building fires and car collisions The ability to place barriers and cones that will stop traffic would also be useful for a lot of these callouts Does this seem like a good idea/feasible?

A good addition to the mod would be the ability to specify if responding backup officers need to wear the bullet proof vest or not. I am unsure if this is possible. Another animation I was thinking of is when officers are investigating a dead body. Will this be used? There is also an animation of the officers pressing on their shoulder mounted radio mic and talking into it, is this possible to use in a feature?

Well, the jail cells, locker room and some hallways are present along with the captain's office in GTA Online, but I'm unsure if those interiors can be added to singleplayer.

I'm thoroughly excited for this mod, just finished downloading GTA V on PC and upgraded my PC to run it! I'm looking forward to seeing what features and details you will add. I can't wait for the first release as I'll be sure to play it! In terms of small details, is there anything you can tease us with? I I also remember in the Paleto Score mission where you go and set the alarm on the bank off. When escaping as either Trevor or Michael, you can see that the Sheriff department has set up checkpoints with cones and officers checking cars, will something like this be usable?

Some Minor Improvement Ideas
There is already a Securicar robbery in one of the major callout API's, it's neat too Bank robberies would be amazing, although when you turn up there should already be a patrol car or two there, as multiple units would respond at once. And the officers should stay by their cruiser instead of gunning it straight away

Battlefield:Hardline - Police Screenshots/Small PS4 Code Contest
Damn am I looking forward to this game, shame I don't have a PS4 to try win the code for. Here's to hoping I get accepted into the PC Beta, and there will be an open beta down the line anyway. I wish that CVPI that you see parked around the map was drivable though

New Battlefield SWAT Game!?
Yeah, I signed up for it 2 days ago, but I heard it was limited, so I'm pretty afraid I won't get in, but hopefully I will, and if not, there will be the open beta soon enough

New Battlefield SWAT Game!?
You got into the beta? You lucky little... I'm on the waiting list, when did you sign up?

New Battlefield SWAT Game!?
I think it looks life fun, only thing bugging me that I can see from beta footage is that the drivable Police Cars Lights only flash every few seconds when sirens are turned on, unlike the constant flashing of the non-driveable police cars parked around the place.

Ah, I see. Oh well, doesn't matter to me unless I upgrade my PC and get Watch_Dogs on it

Watch_Dogs - Chicago PD Adventures
That Police Cruiser, I've never seen it? On PS3 the only cruiser is an interceptor looking one, but the one in that vid I've never seen on PS3, then again, a lot of stuff was cut from the PS3 version. How did you guys get the SWAT SUV though? And were you able to get Police Vehicles through Car On Demand? How did you do that?
