I'm not sure if it's possible with the game's system of selecting peds, but I was thinking it would be cool that if you were to check the ID of certain peds, e.g the security guard, it would come up when checking his id on the radio/computer For normal peds you wouldn't see it, but for peds like security guards, who may be licensed to hold a weapon, as he uses it to guard property, it would tell you he is a legitimate security guard, so you know he is allowed to carry a weapon if he has one on him. It wouldn't show this info on any normal ped, just peds who have particular jobs according to their skin/special spawn location. Again, not entirely sure if possible, but I think it would be cool. UPDATE: I just found out that if you pull over a securicar, a gruppe 6 driver will be inside, if you check his ID, it will come up on the computer saying "LCPD Officer database currently offline", so this could possibly be applied to the normal security guard too.

Look in the .ini file and the configuration I prefer it to be the NYPD, I prefer realism and like using NYPD Vehicles, textures and uniforms

In the LCPDFR settings, you can change the department name and department short name, but I don't see what it changes. The police computer still says "...to access this LCPD Computer..." etc, and nothing else changes of note. So what does it do? I have mine as "New York Police Department" and "NYPD"

Hey, I've been playing GTA IV with a lot of ELS car mods/High poly car mods, and I really don't want to get rid of them. Problem is, when texture quality is set to high, buildings/the ground disappears, which is annoying. I don't want to have to switch the texture quality either, as anything but high is ugly I need some recommendations on what graphics card upgrade I should get, or more memory Suggestions should be affordable, not too expensive Specs are attached Hope you can help!

Top Gear UK had something like this, but they weren't showing off the cars as much. They had police chases with the old hatchbacks they had, one would drive their hatchback, the other two drove police cars. But no just police cars, Scrap Yard Magnetic cranes, Military grade JCB minefield clearing diggers, and a tank All in the "TGPD" (Top Gear Police Department). Yes. A police tank. And yes, they did blow up a hatchback or two.

If I ever let a fellow member of the New York Emergency Services die, I feel uncontrollable amounts of guilt. Luckily, I never have, Hardcore and non-hardcore. One time a fat cop almost died, but the paramedics saved him luckily. From then on I've always kept a watchful eye over officers assisting me, so they remain okay.

This thread makes me feel nice, it makes me feel like a pro. I survived 3 in-game days before my game crashed. The bonus was, I never let a cop, security guard, firefighter or paramedic die!

Yeah, it happened me before Download the manual install, install it to somewhere that isn't your GTA IV Directory, then take the file in "EN-US" folder, and put it in the "EN-US" folder in your GTA IV Root and when asked to replace, say yes.

Seem's like the only logical option. I don't mind really, it's just that I have to wait hours for the game to reinstall, then take ages to install the NYC times square mod, NYC Subway stations mod and NYC Highway signs mod. The only easy thing to install will be my car mods as they're all in a near folder. Then I'll have to install ELS, may aswell update to V7 anyway. It's high time I reinstall the game, I've been putting up with crashed, disappearing buildings etc for a long time. Time to start with a clean game and try keep it stable. Thanks anyway!

I didn't save while playing LCPDFR, I'm about to use my backup and try fix it.

Legit copy, latest patch, I have LCPDFR, a few script mods like PoliceHelper, METT/Coroner mod, ELS V6 etc, but these were all working fine before this started happening, the only change I made was replacing the Font_r.dat and font.dat files with new ones because I found that it was the solution to the no text on menu problem.

I have absolutely no idea what has happened One minute, the game works fine, now, that error message comes up every time I get to the loading screen. Any help or anyone know what it means? fatal error called 619723791

To call in names, check the ped's ID on foot, then, as if you were going to check his id again go into the "investigate" menu, and in red it should say "Call in ID" with F12 beside it.

I just got my backup files of the vehicle.img and rebooted the game, worked like a charm, I guess I'll go from there and install car mods one by one, and only use the ones I really want/need. Thanks for the help!

I don't really know what an ENB is, so probably not, I have many car mods, but I had all the same car mods and the game was working fine before this yesterday (when this disappearing stuff started happening), and no map mods. At the moment, the game is running fine and smoothly, other than the fact that the map is gone pretty much, other than traffic lights, peds and parked cars, and I'm on duty as of now. The map has started disappearing before I even get to the PD now, but the game runs as normal other than the disappearing. UPDATE: As of now, it seems that the only peds that spawn now are peds that are set to spawn in set locations (eg: the guys who stand outside the hotels, groups of cops talking) and traffic doesn't spawn other than parked cars. UPDATE2: The only traffic spawning is the trashmaster, as it is nighttime, but even so, the two men who are supposed to be on the back are not

Hey, I'm having a problem since I updated to LCPDFR 1.0b I'm convinced that this is not a problem with LCPDFR, but with my game Whenever I enter the police station, tables, computers, phones, pillars etc are invisible, and re-appear over some time, sometimes though they don't. Either way, when I leave the police station, the ground or buildings disappear, which didn't happen before I entered the PD. I have crash logs of what happened before LCPDFR caused an error because I think it glitched out with the disappearing things, so I have those logs Hope you can help, if you think I should take this to the LCPDFR support, then just let me know EDIT: This problem has now started as soon as I leave my apartment in game, if I pause the game then unpause, the entire world is pretty much gone, other than peds, cars and a few items.

Hello, since I updated to LCPDFR 1.0b my game has had a problem, as soon as I enter the PD, the tables, chairs, computers, objects etc disappear. Some of the appear over time, others don't. When I leave the PD, it has a lasting effect as the ground/roads/buildings etc disappear. Today as a callout happened, my game said there was an error and gave me logs, so I have them here Hope you can help! RDWAIFU

Hey, when I try to do a radio ID check on someone, first of all, the menu in "Investigate suspect" is broke, as it displays nothing but something along these lines, "ARREST OPTIONS INVESTIGATE ID CHECKED". When it hit F12, my officer takes out a radio, but in the radio dialogue it says "ARREST_FRISK_CALL_IN_ID_CHECK", or something like that, and control radios back with "ARREST_FRISK_CALL_IN_ID_CHECK_ACK" and then something like that again, which doesn't tell me anything and is obviously an error. Any way to fix it? I can take pictures of it with my phone if needs be.
