Damn, bro. That’s harsh. Though not much of a commenter, I’ve been around since lcpdfr and let me tell you, you don’t know unstable until you e played that. Revert to .4, only play with callouts and major plugins (arrest manager, stop that ped, ultimate backup, police smart radio, etc.) that specifically say they use .4’s api. I play with els, entity persistence, eup, all the approved plugins and a racing wheel. If I can make that work, you’ll be all good.

It's not illegal to my knowledge, however they can request to take down your video.

This started because people were using real states and running people over and shooting people and they'd send it in to the department. Obviously the department wouldn't love that. Makes sense.

I don't understand why people like using real states. I mean, the audio yells "LCPD!". Why would you want to play as anything but Liberty City? Just change the city/state name to Liberty.

Wait. Since it requires an activation key to activate, can't you use that key to add to steam?

Cause I remember you could do that with IV

True, it of course depends on your network speed / stability.

My current computer has a DVD drive, my next one won't most likely. DVDs are starting to be severely outdated. Why not ship the game on some USB device instead? That'd be a lot more awesome.

MahmoudIbrahim reacted to Hystery in Should prostitution be Legal?
On one hand, there are those men and women who decide to sell their bodies by themselves. It's a choice of them, and they stand by it. No problem, they are free to do whatever they want with their bodies.

On the other hand, there are those men and women forced into prostitution, often abducted in foreign countries and drugged to keep them addicted so they -have- to prostitute themselves to get their dose of drugs (procurement and all that).

If prostitution was legal, it would open the gate to a lot of fucked up drifts in my opinion. At the very end, we are talking about human beings, not food. It shouldn't be legal to me.

If it said you left your car that means you didn't pull up close enough. When you do get close, it will tell you to exit your vehicle.

Also, to pull someone over press Shift on the keyboard or X on the controller when you are close enough to the suspects vehicle.

Hopefully its just a small mistake on your part and this helps. If not please post again so someone with more knowledge can help

So i was playing GTA V and I noticed that the computer in the Police Cars has the LCPD screen on them. I also noticed that all over the firetrucks are FDLC Logo's. There is on on the doors in a black upside down triangle, and another on the driver side pump controls.
I just thought this was cool.

I recommend you don't buy a prebuilt, they often take shortcuts when it comes to quality of the components. It will run GTA IV just fine most likely.

MahmoudIbrahim reacted to Sam in What are the default controls for LCPDFR?
Listed below is some of the more commonly used default controls for LCPDFR 1.0, along with a short description.

ALT + P / START AND STOP LCPDFR

Use this to start and stop LCPDFR.

    ALT + B / REQUEST BACKUP

This will call for a LCPD unit to assist you.

    ALT + N / REQUEST SWAT BACKUP

This will call for a NOOSE Tactical Response unit to assist you.

CTRL + N / REQUEST HELICOPTER ASSISTANCE IN PURSUIT

This will call for a LCPD helicopter (when lethal force is unauthorized), or a NOOSE Annihilator (when lethal force is authorized) to assist you in a pursuit.

    CTRL + M / REQUEST AMBULANCE

This will call for an ambulance to be dispatched to your location.  It generally only works if there are dead peds near you.

    CTRL + F / REQUEST FIRETRUCK

This will call for a fire truck to be dispatched to your location.  It will extinguish any nearby fires.

ALT + E / CALL IN EVENT, UPDATE STATUS, ETC.

If you get attacked by someone, or someone runs you over, or someone starts shooting nearby, you can use ALT + E to call this into dispatch.

T / DRAW AND HOLSTER TASER

This will draw or holster your Taser.  It needs to be pressed twice for the first time.

CAPSLOCK / OPEN QUICK ACTION MENU (QAM)

Holding this will open the Quick Action Menu

    ALT / FAST WALK

Holding ALT while walking will result in you walking faster (if using a 'fit' cop ped).  This also brings up the LCPDFR Aiming Marker, which you can tell your partner to go places with (use the QAM)

E / OPENING DOORS, TRUNKS, INTERACTING WITH VARIOUS THINGS

The E key is used quite a lot.  You can use it to open the rear doors of your last vehicle (it must be the last car you were in), and you can also use it to search trunks, get weapons from police car trunks, join ambient pursuits (hold it down), etc.

    F8 / PURSUIT TACTICS MENU

When in an active pursuit, you can press F8 to bring up the pursuit tactics menu.  This allows you to authorize and unauthorize lethal force, etc.  Use the arrow keys to select an option and Return to confirm.

    SHIFT / TRAFFIC STOP

You can press shift when behind a vehicle, in a police car, to attempt to pull it over.

There's really no telling what FPS he is going to get until he puts it together and tests it himself. My system is fairly powerful (AMD FX-6300 overclocked, Radeon R9 280X) and I get ~25 fps on average.

OP, you build looks pretty solid for an entry system, but a better graphics card wouldn't hurt if you have the extra cash.
  21. Like
You have a good CPU but only a entry level gpu. Everything else is good. You can play the game at around 30ish fps depending in the resolution you are playing it. I suggest you upgrade the graphic card to something better.

MahmoudIbrahim reacted to Sam in LCPDFR 1.0b Hotfix
We've released a hotfix which addresses many issues reported to us regarding LCPDFR 1.0 and LCPDFR 1.0a.  The hotfix, LCPDFR 1.0b, is the second patch for LCPDFR 1.0 and in specific, this release includes some bug fixes and some changes requested by many of our players.

See  title="">http://www.lcpdfr.co...first-response/ for a more detailed look at the changes, and to download the hotfix.  Unlike LCPDFR 1.0a, this release includes an updated and all-new installer, built on a new framework which we hope should resolve problems some people were having especially as it relates to 32 bit systems.  With the new framework we've built the installer around, included is OpenCandy, an integrated plugin for developers to help with development costs. The software, which recommends a program during the installation of LCPDFR, much like Google Ads might recommend a product, is optional and can be avoided entirely by using the alternative installer. Installing the promoted software will give us a small amount of money. Of course, as this is a new installer, we're very much in a testing phase and saw it fit to use the release of a patch as a good opportunity to test the software.

Aside from that, LCPDFR 1.0b introduces some much requested features and fixes including the option to disable the police radio chatter, a fix for the world event camera activating when you're driving and indeed, the option to disable it entirely.

As always, please report problems to us in the LCPDFR support section.
