mazednik reacted to drsn0w in [WIP] Routine Police Work[WIP] Routine Police Work for LSPDFR
After playing hours upon hours of LSPDFR, I realized that, while fun, the callouts that end in a chase and/or shootout get a little boring after you do them 20 or 30 times. I also realized that most of the time, real policing isn't 75% chases... I want more, I like hardcore realism....
Enter Routine Police Work for LSPDFR! This plugin will have callouts that capture the more boring (and often realistic) aspect of police work. Currently I only have two callouts planned, and I've started working on one. I'd like to have many many more, so input from the community would be really appreciated, seeing as I don't actually know that much about the daily life of a police officer.
Planned Callouts
Notify next of kin Supervise city event Reports of vandalism (vehicle, building) Loitering (in progress) Noise complaint Security alarm check Notify next of kin
This one is rather depressing. Someone has died, and it's your duty to go to their home and notify their next of kin of the death of their loved one...
However, sometimes, no one's home. It's up to you to ask around the neighborhood and maybe find out where they work, and go there to bring the sad news.
And, in some rare cases, the family members may have disappeared too... It's up to you to investigate and find them, and bring them to safety if needed........
Supervise city event
There's a festival going on in Los Santos! Who knows what it's for, but everyone is having a great time. It's a big enough festival that a few blocks of a main road are closed off, and it's your responsibility to supervise and make sure the festivities don't get out of hand.
Also watch out for anyone trying to drive past the police barricades into the festival area! Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt now would we?
Sometimes someone may have had a little too much to drink. If they're causing a ruckus, it's up to you to escort them out of the festival area, or call an ambulance if they're really THAT drunk!
Reports of vandalism
Oh no! Someone has smashed up a car or tagged a building. Yeah, the graffiti might look cool, but it's still illegal! Catch the perpetrator and take them back to the station so they can learn their lesson!
Loitering
This is a fairly common occurrence in Los Santos. People are hanging around an area when they're not supposed to be! Stop them, and check to make sure none of them are fugitives! Tell the others to leave the scene or be arrested. Good luck!
Noise complaint
There's a party, or maybe a car radio, that's way too loud and the citizens are complaining. Tell the owner to turn the volume down, and maybe even issue them a citation depending on the laws of YOUR town!
Security alarm check
A local business's alarm is going off. It often goes off, and it's always been a false alarm in the past, but dispatch wants you to go check it out and turn the alarm off. You never know who's hiding behind those dark corners!
Happy policing!

mazednik reacted to Braveheart in [WIP] Braveheart's Policing Script VBraveheart's Policing Script V
The return of my (infamous?) policing script, reinvigorated for V.
As with IV, I aim to provide additional functions which I consider basic and or necessary for the purposes of policing realistically. To my mind, dealing with every incident as if it's a life or death situation is not indicative of a typical police officer's day-to-day role. I realise the limited options available sometimes leaves no-choice but to dispose of an incident in a somewhat unrealistic manner. My intention with this script is to open up more possibilities and choices for the player to utilise. Granted, some of the features listed below are already present in LSPD:FR and some of its fantastic plugins and I don't want to step on anyone's toes however, each feature is implemented in my own way to my own taste. Some of you might be wondering about the hands up/resist arrest features, I add these to enable peds to react in different ways to your attempt at restraining them keeping the interaction a bit more dynamic. I don't quite like LSPD:FR's linear and predictable everyone-surrenders-first-time approach. (Although having said that, I did once experience a ped "resisting" whilst preforming an LSPD:FR arrest, I'm not sure if it was a bug or an intentional feature. If it's the latter, I like it.)
V scripting is somewhat different to IV; some useful functions are missing and some things don't work as they did in IV. It took me some time to adjust to the differences and what have you. The Discord chat has been been an invaluable resource for quick answers to problems that arose and my thanks go out to all those who have lent me a hand thus far.
Features
Police barrier control (no matter where the barriers spawned from you will be able to pickup, move and place them even if any script(s) crashed and you've reloaded) Vehicles will stop and queue behind barriers (I may include an option to delete queuing vehicles; I experimented with having vehicles turn around and drive-off but it came with a lot of issues) Prevention of melee scuffles (fist fights and baton use) from resulting in death Stop, interact and converse with peds Require a handcuffed person's name and date of birth Stop and direct traffic Road-side impairment / field sobriety test with multiple outcomes Order a person to drop their weapon Order a person to raise their hands Acquire standard police equipment loadout from police vehicles Call a vehicle's registered keeper and request they attend and collect their vehicle Ambient events Everyone's favourite: resist arrest
I have coded most of the features listed and at this point they just need expanding to add variety and polishing.
I was going to add an MDC layer to this script, connected to a communal website with the ability to create crime reports, accident reports and follow-up of cases however, I was informed that the LCPDFR Computer+ project already has this in-hand. I was also going to add a report person/issue ticket option and have a follow-up on the outcome of the case/ticket (much like Albo's court system) however, I think Albo plans to expand his court system to include more than traffic offences.
As I said, it is fantastic that there are already a large number of other plugins by some very talented individuals which cover a lot of the features I would like to see.
Should any one have suggestions for features they'd like to see, feel free to leave a comment.
I plan to create a realistic and immersive calls plugin once this project is out of the way.

mazednik reacted to khorio in [WIP][REL] Automatic Roadblocks v2.0From the shed that has been raided multiple times by SWAT units and where the Rednecks crawled out of, the following is coming to your patrols soon;
Automatic Roadblocks is a plugin that creates dynamic roadblocks while you're in a pursuit, these can be toggled on/off as needed.
Automatic Roadblocks will automatically guess where the best position for a roadblock is, no messing around with pausing your pursuit to guess where to place a roadblock next.
Roadblocks will automatically be elevated based on how aggressive the pursuit is, and how many roadblocks have been dodged during the pursuit.
You can check out the development album right here;

mazednik reacted to Darkmyre in [WIP] Battlespace: San AndreasBATTLESPACE : SAN ANDREAS
Battlespace is a term used to signify a unified military strategy to integrate and combine armed forces for the military theatre of operations, including air, information, land, sea, and space to achieve military goals.
Inspired by the amazingly detailed military models by SkylineGTRFreak, this plugin will bring military combat to GTA for (as far as I know) the first time. Players will be able to choose between a range of missions, each using either land or air vehicles to achieve a series of military objectives, in order to defeat a rogue element of Merryweather believed to be working with the Chinese. The plugin is currently still in development, and I'm aiming to have a beta version available around mid September. The initial release will be focused on building the mechanics as robustly as possible, with a small set of missions that will be supplemented through post-release updates.
Planned Features
Air Missions: A variety of mission typess including offensive/defensive dogfights, bombing runs, aerial surveillance, target extraction and escorts Ground Missions: a variety of mission types including convoy escorts/attacks, ground combat, strategic raids, covert eliminations and of course tanks! Sea-based air missions, using the Aircraft Carrier props available in-game. Character progression system, with additional abilities as your character completes missions and rises in rank. Scoring system per mission - gain points for kills/objectives completed, lose points for deaths/failed objectives. The plugin will store the score from your best and most recent attempt at each mission. Possible Features (These are things I'd like to add, but aren't yet confirmed features. They most likely wont be in the first release)
Voice acting for radio transmissions from HQ. Per-mission and Service Record leaderboards Developer API for adding missions Proof of Concept / Teaser Video
This brief concept video shows the basic gameplay flow of reporting for duty, accepting a mission, and completing an extremely basic dogfight mission. Please note it is a very early pre-alpha version of the plugin - typically I leave animations and other "user polish" until right before release.

LSPDFR Chroma - Bringing LSPDFR to your Keyboard
What is LSPDFR Chroma?
LSPDFR Chroma is an ordinary LSPDFR API and RPH plugin, much like one of your favourite callout packs. It aims to link the Chroma SDK and LSPDFR together to bring visual indicators to your keyboard for in game stats and features.
This is currently WIP but several features have already been made. I also recognise this may not be massively popular, nothing like the various mods available on the forums currently. But I am making this entirely for my own entertainment and sharing it for the benefit of anyone else who might enjoy it.
Current Features
• F1 - F4 keys indicate the player's current health. Each key represents 1 quarter of the health bar and will switch from green to red if health is lost. In addition to this, when the player's health dips below critical (i.e the last 10%) the four keys will flash red!
• F5 - F8 keys are your lightbar! That's right, when you switch on your emergency vehicle sirens these keys will flash red and blue in an alternating pattern to indicate your lights are on. Yes this isn't useful, but hey. Flashy colours are fun.
• D1 - D9 (row of number keys, top of keyboard) are the in game default keys for fast switching to select weapon slots. Each number represents a different slot. With LSPDFR Chroma, the currently active weapon slot key will be highlighted
• Custom Highlight Keys allow you to set any key on the keyboard to a highlight colour. Making certain keys like the WASD cluster, or specific menu keys like B and N, stand out from the rest of the keyboard. Helping you to remember what keybinds are set!
• Customisable Colours! It wouldn't be true chroma without letting you set your own colours. Choose a background colour and highlight colour from any combination of RGB values!
Planned Features
As this is a WIP modification, there are several planned features to improve the functionality, including:
• Flashing Alert Key Got a callout coming through? The Y key will flash to let you know there is a callout to accept!
• Player Armour Indicator Health is great, but what about your armour levels? They should be visible too so you know if you're protected or not
• Vehicle Lights headlights on full beam? Indicators running? For those times when you can't quite tell in game, your keyboard will have you covered.
• As much customisation as you want! Why stop with just 2 customisable colours? This plugin will let you change everything. Enable or disable features. And even specify where you want those features to show on the keyboard.
• Developer API will allow plugin developers to integrate lighting features in their plugins.
• Don't use LSPDFR? An RPH standalone version may be created as well, at current none of the working features use LSPDFR.

Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition Chroma
Razer Blackwidow X Tournament Edition Chroma
Razer Deathstalker Chroma*
Any non-chroma Razer keyboard
Any non-Razer Keyboard
Any other peripheral device (chroma or not) this is for keyboard effects only.
* Deathstalker cannot have individual keys lit in the chroma configurator, this plugin may potentially not work as intended. (unconfirmed at this time)
Notice on other RGB Keyboards
In order for this plugin to work you must have a keyboard that is capable of using the razer chroma sdk. Keyboards that use CUE for example (Corsair Utility Engine) will NOT work. However if that SDK is simple enough to acquire and use I may attempt making this plugin compatible, just know that I will be unable to test it.
Anyway, thanks for viewing. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated 🙂

"We have, a suspect resisting arrest, in...". - Random callout
Tired of these kind of run & gun callouts? Me too. Well, they are fun sometimes, but I wanted to have more police work to do, like finding a suspect matching a description (aka BOLO), conduct investigations, etc.
You may know Repeat Offender, which was made by FinKone. Well, my callout pack will go along those lines also.
As this is my first callout pack, I don't think it'll be as detailed as FinKone's one, but fear not: I'm putting a lot of effort to have something fun and realistic to play with.
Currently ongoing
shoplifting (just started)
Main scenario
A shopkeeper just called the police for a shoplifting attempt. He will transmit all the details he knows about the suspect, and the last seen location (most likely the shop itself). These pieces of information will be golden to find the suspect, since there will be not blips at all. Only a rough search area.
However fear not, if you have some difficulties, you'll be able to send a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) to a nearby officer, so that he'll help you finding the criminal.
Once you find someone matching the description, you'll have to conduct your investigation, frisk him, or whatever else you need to do to make a stronger case against him. Maybe he's also just someone looking like the suspect.
You'll have to find out. But be careful, the suspect may be aggressive and/or armed.
API integration
I am planning to "integrate" the following plugins, so that the callouts have a more realistic feeling:
- LSPDFR Computer+
- Search Warrant (for the frisking part)
- Traffic Policer for possible alcohol/drug tests
- Maybe VocalDispatch
Last words
For now, there's only one callout, but I will most likely add new ones in the future. Feel free to voice your ideas or what you want to see as well :)

mazednik reacted to Cantwell in [WIP] MundaneCalloutsI like the sounds of this! Low priority calls make the high priority ones that much more fun.
Some callout suggestions:
Noise Complaint - Person shooting fireworks, or having a party (which you have to disperse) Disturbance - People loitering in area, shouting or just standing (disperse them) Drug Complaint - people smoking weed under a bridge/on street Offender Compliance Check - visit the home of a parolee/person out on bail to ensure they are complying with their conditions. Neighbor Dispute - Neighbors arguing (break it up) Mischief - Person/people causing damage to property (breaking fences, denting cars, etc) Alarms - Residential / Commercial automatic entry alarms (most likely false, but possible to find B&E) Emotionally Disturbed Person - Person acting odd (ranges from shouting nonsense to being suicidal) Backup Officer: Sovereign Citizen - Person refusing to show identification on traffic stop / other call (arrest or talk him into showing ID) Criminal Harassment - Victim has been receiving harassing phone calls/messages from a person (go talk to the suspect and deal with it accordingly). Trespassing - Person walking on private property (find out why they are there and remove them). Taxi Dispute - Cabbie and customer in argument about fare / person refusing to pay (determine who's correct and deal with it) Assist Security Agency - Security has a person in custody (help them investigate and lay a charge if necessary) Person Refusing to Leave - Manager of store wants police to help remove an unruly customer. Missing Person - Person is missing (have description of person, talk to people in area to locate) Traffic Hazard - There is debris on the road that is dangerous to motorists (remove from roadway or direct traffic until the city can remove the hazard. Protest - There is a group gathered protesting (make sure it remains peaceful and traffic continues to flow). Stolen Bicycle - A person has woken up to find his bike missing (gather info and see if you can locate it). Welfare Check - Family member concerned for well being of relative (go to address and see if they're okay). Suspicious Occurrence - Caller says there is a person in a car/on foot that has been watching a residence / circling the block for a while (locate and identify their intentions). Hope this gives you some ideas! Good luck on coding - I cant wait to see the finished product

mazednik reacted to Thot Patrol in Multiple Partners Mod?Hi I am trying to setup a few mods so I can play swat. I need a mod that allows me to have multiple police partners so I can have a S.W.A.T team. I know that Simple Native Trainer allows you to spawn body guards, but it doesn't work for me. When ever I use Simple Native Trainer I run into a few issues such as, my body guards leave when ever a complete a call, they have trouble getting into vehicles, and in some vehicles like the N.O.O.S.E Granger the body guards will get in, then get out, then get in, and get out its a never ending cycle. So if anyone knows of a mod that allows me to have multiple partners please tell me. Have a Good Day!

mazednik reacted to Stealth22 in [REL] ALPR+Update!
ALPR+ is currently playable, and the bugs have largely been fixed. There are a few small things left, but it is now ready for beta testing. (One new feature I added is the ability for ALPR+ to turn itself on and off before/after traffic stops and pursuits!)
The plugin has been distributed to a limited set of developers and testers; if there are no issues, I expect to be able to release it very soon.
Please do not ask if you can beta test the plugin; while I appreciate the offers I have received, I have a fairly decently sized group of volunteers already.
Now then, the million dollar question: Stealth, when is it coming out?!
Please note that I cannot guarantee an exact date, but if there are no more bugs, I would expect a release in about a week.
Again, I can't promise anything. But I will do my best!

mazednik reacted to Sam in Community Team and Staffing Update 2016-03-11As many of you will have noticed, we've had a number of changes to the Community Team over the past month or so.
Welcoming people in to the LSPDFR Team and seeing them integrate with what is essentially one big family, while becoming more and more of an integral part of what we do here as time goes by is just one of the many awesome things that I've been able to experience here as a result of what we've made with LCPDFR and LSPDFR. The work that the Community Team is astounding, especially for a team of volunteers who owe nobody anything at all, and generously give up their own time to help us all here.
In this respect, it'd be great if we could keep hold of all of the fantastic people that have worked with us on the team over the years, but sadly this just isn't the case, and we unfortunately do from time to time have to say our goodbyes.
A little while ago now, Iconography retired from his position as the Community Manager. Iconography was, like many who worked alongside him in the team, a 'normal member' for a number of years here. With countless valuable contributions and having been a part of our community for ages, it only made sense to offer Icon the chance to become more involved as a member of our team. Starting of as a community moderator, Icon was quick to impress me with his wit, his ethic and his intelligence. Eventually taking on a more senior role within the moderation team, Icon then proved to also be a great hand for the newer members of our staff team. In 2013, when the opportunity to be a much bigger part of everything we do arose, watching Icon take on the challenge and commit himself to being a part of the Management Team was honestly one of the best moments I've had here. From making countless improvements to the way that we manage things, to coming up with great ideas like the Store, Icon's impact on LCPDFR.com just can't be overstated. He boldly took on the challenge of day-to-day management of a 200,000 member community, and he had an amazing run. I can honestly say that being able to both know and work with Icon was both a pleasure and an honour. If there was a Mount Rushmore of LCPDFR, you can bet that Icon would be on it.
On a similar note, Illusionyary has also taken the decision to retire from the Community Team in his position as a Community Moderator. Illusionyary joined the team in mid-2013, and with just under 3000 moderation actions to his name, was an instrumental part of maintaining and administering our community.
Additionally, Prophet has stepped down from his role as our first ever Content Editor, to focus on his own media channels. While he'll forever be remembered for the infamous words of "this isn't going to be the preview of 0.3" on our livestream a while back, Prophet was a great help behind the scenes in organising the event, and really contributed to making it a truly special occasion - one that we'll be sure to do again!
I'd like to take the time to very personally thank Iconography, Illusionyary and Prophet for all that they've done for our community, and hope that everyone will join with me in doing so. Our Community Team really are the best, and it's been great having you guys on-board :)
Finally, the eagle eyed among you might have noticed that we've just now welcomed a new face to the Community Team in Brant. We'll have more to say about that soon.
Sam.

mazednik reacted to Mush75 in [WIP] LSPDFR+, British Policing Script's International Sister ModificationWhat I would like to see added is the chance to pull over cars from a further away distance than the current option. I sometimes feels that you have to be right up against the other cars Bumper to get a lock on to pull them over, It's the same with Finkones Police radio. I feel you need to be to close to the suspect to select registration checks when I feel it would be more realistic if we could be 4-5 car lengths away. If both LSPDFR and Finkones radio allowed us to be further away to select both options that would feel much more realistic than it does to date. Just my 2 penny's worth but something that I feels worth mentioning. My apologies is these are not in the right place to mention and if it's not please let me know so I can move them to the correct place. Many thanks
