  1. Ah! Do it. It's pretty good. It's crazy to think the show started in 1968 and ended in 71 or 72. Every time the LAPD changed something (cars, uniforms, weapons, other equipment) the show changed to reflect it. That's why 1-Adam-12 went from a 67/68/69 Belvedere to a Matador and so forth. Also, the dispatcher saying the famous "1-Adam-12, 211 in progress..." was an actual dispatcher. Thank Jack Webb for that. He wanted the show to be as realistic as he could. Sidenote 1: Also crazy that the second episode in season 1 has to do with an infant dying. Back in 1968, that's some really heavy stuff for back then. Sidenote 2: The station that 1-Adam-12 is based in, is the Rampart division of the LAPD. The show Southland, also was based out of the Rampart division.
  2. My opinion is that we'll probably get some type of mods in single player (if people wanna mod the game, they'll find a way). However, I don't think we'll have multiplayer mods. Rockstar will probably consider those cheating, since in multiplayer there is a ranking system and whatnot. I wish there was a "party-mode" or something we could do where we couldn't rank up. Like "unranked servers" in Battlefield.
  3. ELS V8 Testing Episode 3!
  4. Well someone has to share some of the beauties! :D Also, I found this from the same channel as the Felony Stop video It's narrated by Jack Webb or Joe Friday to most!
  5. They indeed were sexy cars. As for the Polara, I would be 100% down to convert it from civie to patrol car, but I don't know anything about Zmodler, so I'd be brand new to it. Most people have laughed or scoffed at me asking about the Polara as a cop for GTAIV and said that I would be wasting my time because no one wants it. I thought about getting the right setup and just trying to do it myself a few times now (permitting we get the car rolling *no pun intended*)
  6. That I did. I tried asking him for a police version in the comments, but he never got back to me. I also tried to PM him, but I don't think I can. EDIT: Yes, I cannot PM him. I might try another way. Sorry for the double post, the edit button wouldn't cooperate. So I made a new comment asking for permission to edit the car, let's see if he says yes. In the meantime, since we're talking about Polaras, here are some pics of the CHP. A truly unmarked car A Twinsonic (one of the versions I'm hoping to make, if BloggerRoss says yes to my edits) And here's a vintage pic of a traffic stop.
  7. Super awesome find good sir. I love it. And I'm almost positive those are Satellites. There is something so sexy about those old Mopar squad cars and big ole lightbars like those Twinsonics. I wish someone would make that car, or even use that Polara. Also, watching stuff like this and Adam-12 and Dragnet make me want a police game set in the late 60s early 70s soooooooo bad. If Adam-12 could last for 7 season, we can make a game out of it. I wanna cruise down the highway in a California town with a V8 mopar with my Twinsonic.

  9. I like it a lot. Simple yet effective. That shot of VooDoo's Tahoe and the other tahoe/suburban (sorry, I suck at telling them apart sometimes) looks awesome!

  11. Only thing I don't like is that it looks like the grill lights magically appear when when the lights are on. Like that you can't see them when all the lights are off, and they only appear when the lights are on. Other than that, not too bad. I gave it a 4/5.
  12. Great videos, great lights. So I was thinking about this the other day, those Real Trio T-2 "Tin Can" lights made famous by the LAPD (Adam-12 Especially), were they one of the first to use something that resembles a TA? They were amber, and you could make them steady-burn like the front, or you could make them flash. I was always curious about when TAs started showing up. Here's a video tour of a guys Adam 12 replica.
  13. I just have this for you people, John Wayne says GTFO. Hahaha. ^Don't be offended by the gif, it's just a joke, and should be treated as one. All you need is a Beacon Ray and I'm set. Cops survived for decades without christmas trees. Granted, I'm not saying I hate modern cop cars, I don't mind a christmas tree here and there if it's done nicely, but these are tmeless designs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hell, the LAPD didn't even get a light until 1948. They got the red spotlight and that was it. Before that, it was just a normal clear spotlight. No lights whatsoever. (LA Noire reflects this, having been set in 1947). Anyway, back on the subject of this thread, Here are some more classics. As I mentioned earlier, a 1948 Ford LAPD 50s Chevy LAPD 1968 Plymouth Belvedere Unmarked! 69 Dodge Polara Massachusetts State Police

  17. I hope to one day make one of those. That or one of these: A 1965 Dodge Polara CHP car.
  18. I may be wrong, But I'd say that the car above is gonna be a 77-78 Plymouth Fury. I know that the Dodge Monacos look incredibly similar, but I think that the grill matches a Fury. Here are some pics of the two of them together. Fury is on the right, Monaco on the left.
