Amazon Go
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm understanding what Amazon is trying to do, they're basically creating a store where you scan your cellular device to enter and leave with the items you want and you'll automatically be charged. Sounds like a good idea but I feel like it'd require everything to work and everyone to cooperate. I'll elaborate: •What if someone decides to simply jump the barrier? Will they have posted security guards to prevent it? Wouldn't the security guards cost more than the cashiers or self-service checkouts in the long run to begin with? •Say people are attempting to enter the store and the machines are down, or the power in the area is out. Will the store just be closed until further notice? Depending on how successful the AmazonGo concept is, that can add up to be a lot of lost profit. •Someone comes in and their cell phones dies as they prepare leave the store and they're unaware. Will they simply not be charged? What if they didn't even have enough money to pay with my card? How will the store prevent them from leaving without paying? What if the payment doesn't go through? Will hired security guards be there to intervene? Will they even care? Sounds like a mess in the making to me. •People are clumsy and lazy. Someone grabs an item and knocks several others down and decides to leave it on the floor. Will they be charged for those items? If so, then what happens when theyre angry that they were charged for an item they don't have? Sounds like a YouTube video waiting to happen. •What if I want to return items? Will there be some sort of return policy? Will that be electronic as well? I see some scams waiting to happen with that. Seems like a great idea but there are a lot of "what if" scenarios waiting to happen. If Amazon can figure out solutions to a lot of the possibilities then I think it'll be a decent concept. Maybe they'll give us more information in the future.

President
Out of curiosity, do you mind elaborating on what exactly you believe makes Donald Trump a bigot? I'm not disagreeing with the claim of Trump being obnoxious because that's exactly what he is; an arrogant, obnoxious, clown. I just don't entirely understand how him being a bigot, going by your words, makes him an undesirable candidate when by definition just about any other politician can also be considered a bigot. He has made a ton of controversial statements though, I'm not denying that. The definition by a simple Bing search is "a person who is intolerant to those holding different opinions". This brings more than just Donald Trump to mind.

President
The notable part about Donald Trump is that he took the initiative. I can't name a single person that's immensely successful without any sort of outside help or support. Of course he had help, but he took the initiative to make his own name great. Doesn't matter what you think of the man, you have to admit that his name does hold a lot of value.

I don't want to steer the discussion too far off, but I wanted to mention that I agree on it being impressive. When I ask people what they'd do with $1M, the first thing I hear is "Buy". Buy, buy, buy, spend, spend, spend. No investments or savings. That's something that I can easily admire about the man.

Charlotte Riots and Black Lives Matter
Putting the political aspect of the situation aside, what continues to baffle me on a daily basis is the fact that people treat the victims as though they're heroes or something. Depending on the case, it is unfortunate that someone's life was lost as a result of police brutality and excessive force. However, I'm not going to mourn the loss of an individual that had intentions of hurting others and committing crime from the get-go. Reform the system where necessary and move on is what I say. I'm not sincerely hurt by a lot of the losses.

'Good Music' Thread
A relatively good song. All you've gotta do is relate to it and it'll make sense.

NEW PC
I just went on and purchased an Alienware system. It only rung up to be approximately $3,000 so it wasn't that expensive. It runs the game on maximum settings with an ENB. I don't recommend purchasing the laptops though, they're pretty bad. There are also some other gaming brands out there if you'd prefer another manufacturer.

What is up with the obesity rate in police?
Based on what I've been told by law enforcement officials in the past, it really depends on the particular department in relevance to the physical standards. Something I've noticed is that a lot of the bigger departments have more "chubby chunks" when compared to the smaller county or sheriffs departments. I had yet to see an out of shape officer in my local department and I've lived here my entire life. But when I drive over to Baltimore City, I see them all over the place. Then again, Baltimore City is very short on Police officers right now so they've probably lowered or removed their physical standards. Just simply heading over to the gloriously dominant Bing search engine and bringing up the physical requirements for Baltimore City Police Department shows how low the standards can be. Based on what the website says, the requirements are as follows for male 18 - 25: •26 push-ups •35 sit-ups •13:15 1.5 mile run time These are ridiculously low standards. My high school gym requirements were higher than that. I'd say the weight issue really depends on the circumstances per each individual department. If it's a department like Baltimore City Police, which is short by about 400 officers by next year, then the standards will probably be low so that they're able to hire more people. If it's a local county or sheriff, the standards will probably be higher since they don't really need to fill as many slots. Just my own conclusion based on logical thinking though. Nothing I've said can be accurately backed by any evidence. Just a speculation.

IV or V
In regards to stability, GTA V with LSPDFR provides a much smoother experience in police roleplay. Once I finally reach a stable point with added modifications to where everything is updated and correctly installed, LSPDFR is absolutely amazing. Everything is much more responsive and smooth, and there's a lot of potential with what can be created. It feels like a completely different game, and it's because of the hard work, dedication, and time that the developers and modders put into creating an in-depth policing roleplay experience. To this day I still think it's amazing how a game that has virtually nothing to do with following laws can be completely transformed, placing you into a position where you enforce laws. When I meet others that play GTA 5, the first thing that I want to talk about is LSPDFR and explain to them how amazing this stuff is, but it's just too in-depth. I have to show people everything that you're able to do, I feel as though a simple explanation isn't sufficient. Once you reach that point of stability to where you've got your mods in and your cars changed (if you so desire), it's an amazing thing.

Worth it to get an Xbox One controller?
I don't think you can. I tried to do the same thing a few months ago and couodn't find any results. I think that there's actually an Xbox One controller out there with interchangeable parts. Like you can personalize the vibration sensitivity and you can adjust how far the trigger goes when pulled.

Worth it to get an Xbox One controller?
I play with an Xbox 360 wireless controller. I recently switched from console gaming to PC gaming upon purchasing an Alienware system. I have an Xbox 360, Playststion 3, and Xbox One. I have been a console gamer for almost 10 years. The only real difference that I can tell between the Xbox One controller and the Xbox 360 controller would be the triggers, the buttons above the triggers, and the d-pad. Of course there's all this other stuff like "a more solid button response" or whatever, but that's all generic stuff that really isn't significantly noticeable. Specifically looking at the controller, the trigger for the Xbox One is designed a little different. It gradually gets wider towards the top of the trigger whereas the trigger on the Xbox 360 is straight up and down. The wider button admittedly gives you a little more "wiggle room" to miss the trigger if you're constantly switching between the trigger and other buttons like I do. The buttons that are directly above the triggers, LB and RB, on either side are designed slightly different, but I haven't really noticed any significant improvement or difference with it other than a more solid push. Finally, the d-pad for the Xbox 360 has a webbed design. All of the buttons in each direction connect to each other, one big web with four directional buttons. The Xbox One removes the webbing design, which puts space between them. For me, this does come in handy because it allows me a definite button push when I use the d-pad. I have an issue where sometimes I'll be so deep into the game that I'll hit the d-pad and push two directions at once because it goes in the middle. I don't have this issue with the Xbox One. Overall, in my opinion, if you need a new controller go with the Xbox One controller. But if you've already got a working controller and you don't have any technical issues or gameplay issues, stick with what you've got.

Woman Killed During Academy Exercise
For the United States Army we also receive training for a variety of weapons. The first thing we learned was weapons safety. Treat every weapon as if it's loaded. Don't aim at anything you don't intend to shoot. Keep your finger off the trigger unless you're preparing to take down a target (which would only be at the range in position preparing to fire, under our circumstances), be aware of your targets surroundings, basic principles of weapons safety. Then we went through simulated, video game type training sessions, and finally we hit the range with live rounds. Indeed the feel of a simulated weapon is not the same as a real weapon. Even when it's a real weapon and there's no magazine, once that magazine goes in, my entire mindset changes. In training before we could use life rounds, when we simulated shooting we had to shout "bang!" while the weapon remained on safety. Accident that could have been avoided, as others have said.

People just really need to look at the bigger picture. What Donald Trump has said compared to what Hillary Clinton has done makes Trump the lesser of two evils. Bouncing off of what OriginalLight said, another four years of a Democratic presidency will only further plummet this country down the drain. Donald Trump may not be the best solution, but it's definitely something I'd prefer over a continuation of Democratic control, which clearly hasn't been working out very well. Now Republicans have the opportunity to reinforce what they've been trying to implement throughout Obamas presidency. Time to see what they can do, we need some sort of change.

President
Not to mention that a good portion of our politicians are bought out puppets. That's the beauty of having Donald Trump as our President. He isn't bought because he has enough of his own money. He doesn't answer to anyone, which is why he's able to go up on stage and say whatever he wants. Imagine if Obama or Hillary or Bernie went up and said some of the same things Trump said. They'd disappear from political view quick.

Apparently, Donald Trump plans to use "economic force" on Mexico in order to make them pay for the wall. Increased trade tariffs, cancellation of visas, higher fees for border-crossing cards. Since Trump as won the presidency, the Mexican president has actually vowed to work with him. The value of the Mexican peso is also dropping, and has dropped drastically since Trump won the election. We'll see how things turn out though.

Car you drive
Well because it has no "umphf" in my opinion. It looks like a regular box car, just a little heavy. As a police car I think it's amazing. When I patrol in LSPDFR I usually put in CVPI's. It's just something about it being used as a civilian car that I think is a lil' funky. =P

Car you drive
Eww. As a civilian car that's pretty nasty there mate. This was my first car. Drove this throughout high school. 2013 Dodge Dart. Still got it today. This is what I am in the process of getting.

President
It's challenging, for me at least, to form any sort of rational/realistic opinion on how I feel about Donald Trump being the President when he hasn't even been sworn into office. So far it's pretty much been the same cup of soup that most American politicians have served the American people for the past few elections. They'll do this, that, and the other and it'll make America the greatest nation and fix all of our economic problems and social issues. Our politicians talk what everyone wants to hear, but then don't follow through with their statements once they're in office. The only difference with Donald Trump, in my opinion, is that what he's saying is simply catering to the far-right wing conservative crowd in America; which is something that we haven't seen in a while. I just feel that it's hard to really give any logical opinion on the matter when nothing has been done thus far. As things happen (or don't happen), then I'll be able to form a more validated opinion on Donald Trump being the President.

Man impersonates officer in late night rural traffic stop
You'd be amazed at how clueless people, especially Americans, are when it comes to anything law enforcement related. Americans, based on my own experiences, generally don't really have any clue when it comes to Police. This can help explain why there's a lot of hate towards law enforcement, on top of the political situation we've got going on here, but that's aside from the point. I've had family members point to cars that were blatantly civilian vehicles and state that they were undercover, simply because of the vehicle model. "That car looks like a Crown Victoria, therefore it's a police car. "

What [presents] do you want for Christmas 2016?
I'd like my country to not be in ruins as a result of political matters that should not be discussed here... =P I would also love to finally build my own gaming PC from scratch. I currently use one of the "cheaper", according to Dell, Alienware laptops. So all of the parts to build my own system would be amazing, or the cash to do so myself.

How about we just go ahead and stop this train here before it wrecks. Please and thank you gentlemen. Condolences to the family of course, definitely a shame that we're losing so many officers.

Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)
Of course, not a problem at all. No one is perfect and we all have room to change. What makes you a "great" person (lack of a better way to say it) is when you acknowledge your imperfections and try to change for the better of everyone else and yourself. I tried to like your post but I apparently can only give 30 likes a day, LOL.

Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)
Overall, I can safely say that I've grown to become a more open-minded debater. I don't come from a background with a diversity of various opinions when it comes to political matters. Everyone has always shared the same opinion and believed in the same thing as I grew up. Once I began to hit the internet, more specifically the LCPDFR forums, I was exposed to reality. Not everyone believes in the same thing, and everyone has the right to hold their own opinion. As noted by some amusing incidents that happened with me in the past here, it was challenging for me to grasp the concept of someone holding a different opinion than I did, and them simply disagreeing with me at first. Simply because I've never held an opinion that someone has disagreed with growing up. I think I can say that I've become much better at holding political discussions, and conversing with people that disagree with my beliefs.
