  1. Two more officers are reported to have been shot, one in Georgia and one in Mississippi.
  2. And the American people will continue to sit and take it up the butt. lol
  3. The difference is that BLM declares racism and discrimination with no base evidence of the situation. What I do, is I hold my faith to the high standards that we have set for our law enforcement officers, trust in their training, trust in their service to the community, and temporarily assume that they've done the right thing. We hold officers to standards, and I expect them to meet those standards. That's why I put my faith in them from the start. As I've said, it's simply a matter of opinion because someone can easily say that we don't hold our officers to very high standards. I look at a situation and say, "Ok, these are officers of the law. They have been trained. They have been taught discipline. They may have even had to attend college to get to where they are now. They probably did the right thing, so I will side with them for now".
  4. Right. As someone within the justice system, you can't pick sides before you know the entire story. You have to remain neutral until evidence presents itself, then you have to make an educated, proper, and legal decision based on what you have and what you know. As a civilian that has no position of authority in the justice system, I'm not obligated to do that. I can safely choose to side with the law enforcement officer for the time being and have faith that he did what he was supposed to do. Then when evidence arises, I can change my opinion as everything unfolds. That's all I'm trying to say with that.
  5. I'm not a part of the justice system, though, so it's irrelevant. It's a matter of opinion. Just as BLM supporters like to automatically assume that a Police involved incident is brutality before evidence even surfaces, I would prefer to automatically assume that the officer did nothing wrong until evidence surfaces. HELL no. Just because you're a criminal doesn't mean that you deserve to be killed by the law. That's why we have a justice system, granted it's a broken system but we have one nonetheless.
  6. Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. It's a personal decision that I want to make and on that front, it's a matter of opinion. I've never said that the Police don't make mistakes. But when something controversial happens regarding the Police, I personally choose to put my faith in law enforcement over the supposed victim until evidence surfaces.
  7. Yes, that's exactly what I've been saying. That doesn't mean that the Police don't make mistakes, I don't see how you've made that connection.
  8. That's right, you can't call someone a criminal thug with no evidence. The reason I made that statement is because I was referring to some of the past incidents between law enforcement and young black men where the suspect had a criminal record beforehand. Or the suspect had a weapon on them, or ran from the Police. When there's no evidence, I'm generally in favor of law enforcement from the get-go, but as time progresses I'll start to see who I want to "declare my allegiance" with.
  9. Nope, I've literally been saying the exact same thing this entire time. You have simply been misunderstanding me the entire time. This entire time I've been saying that the chances of a Police officer being wrong in their shooting is low when compared to someone shooting a Police officer. I've also said 90% of the time it's never right to shoot a Police officer, regardless of the circumstances. I'm not saying that the Police are perfect, I'm just saying that shooting a Police officer isn't acceptable under 90% of circumstances, there are just too many other ways to solve an issue with Police than to shoot them. Most Americans, including a good portion of gun supporters, are against owning an assault rifle and a sniper rifle. I just can't really see the need for someone to have an assault rifle. Yes, that is correct. I'm prepared to sit here and pick the side of law enforcement over the side of a criminal thug any day. Once evidence surfaces and the case becomes clearer, then I may change my opinion depending on the situation. I don't recall ever saying that the Police can never do anything wrong. You've simply either misread or misunderstood what I'm trying to say. Maybe I mistyped what I was trying to say, but that's not what I'm saying at all, and that's not what I've been intending to say this entire time.
  10. Nope, not what I'm saying at all. For a third time now, I'm simply stating that the chances of a Police officer being wrong in a shooting just aren't that high when compared to a civilian shooting a Police officer.
  11. Kinda does. Back then the Police would literally whoop someone's ass simply because they were black. Does it happen today, of course, but not on as big of a scale as it did back then. Rights were not as recognized back then as they are today. We're a different country today than we were back then, and we've gotten much better at recognizing people's rights.
  12. The Police wouldn't attack them. This isn't the 1960's. The Police would only engage the protesters if the protest wasn't peaceful, or the protesters are breaking laws after being asked multiple times to disperse or move. Even if the Police were completely unjustified, doesn't warrant people to start shooting at them. This just brings us back to the discussion I had earlier on blocking the interstate in protest. Are you saying that if the Police in Dallas had been actively engaging the people trying to disperse them, that the shootings would have been justified? I'm not saying that the Police are always in the right. I'm saying that there's a greater chance of the Police being right in a shooting than the suspect. I'm saying that if someone shoots the Police, there's a greater chance that it wasn't a justified shooting of that Police officer. The Police are public servants and they're held to a higher standard. When a situation occurs, of course I'm automatically going to empathize with law enforcement before the supposed victim until more evidence is released; unless it's an obvious case of excessive force.
  13. Of course, but how often does that happen when compared to a number of times Police are shot at, and return fire in self defense? I've never heard of anything like this happening. And again, that's a hypothetical situation. The chances of something like that happening once is undeniably low, and the chances of it happening often are virtually non-existant.
  14. That's a SWAT raid, which is a totally different side of the sandwich. If I'm asleep and I hear the door kicked in, I'm not going to assume that it's the Police. I'm going to grab my weapon and stand ready to defend my home. That doesn't mean that me shooting the SWAT officers was right, it was simply self-defense because the SWAT team didn't do what they should have done, which is announce that they're the Police. I'm talking about a uniformed officer dealing with a civilian out on the street. Totally different cup of tea when it comes to shooting the Police.
  15. I never said that Police officers can't make mistakes. I said that chances of a Police officer being correct when shooting someone, when compared to a civilian being correct when shooting a Police officer is completely out of proportion. It's never right to shoot and kill a Police officer, but sometimes a Police officer's only choice is to shoot and kill a civilian. Of course, we can all sit here and speculate different hypothetical scenarios of when the shooting of a Police officer would be justified, but how realistic are those scenarios? How often do they happen, if they've ever happened at all? It's not comparable.
  16. I feel like it's two-sided, which is why we get such a two-sided reaction. I can't think of a single realistic predicament that would prompt someone to shoot a Police officer and be correct in the shooting. When someone shoots a Police officer I can guarantee you that it wasn't justified, but when a Police officer shoots a civilian, there's usually much more to the story. Shooting a Police officer is really never the right solution to a problem, whereas sometimes the only option that a Police officer has, depending on the situation, is to shoot someone.
  17. Black lives matter is actually losing support as time progresses. They are an arrogant, ignorant organization.
  18. As disgusting as this is, the media is rolling in it. It's almost sickeningly laughable at how the media is making bank as this unfolds. The shootings, the murder, the bloodshed, the protests, the fighting, and violence. I'm tired and it's 1 AM here, but I want to watch and see how this unfolds. =P
  19. Yeah, Police just got into a pursuit with one of the suspects. The pursuit ended and I believe they have the person in custody. Overall it just seems like, all together, the political spectrums are becoming more extreme. Either you support immigration or you're against it. Either you support the Police or you're anti-police. Either you support guns or you want to ban them. Either you're far right with Donald Trump, far left with Hillary Clinton, or hopelessly lost in the middle like the vast majority of Americans are. We're spreading farther and farther apart as a society and it's really sad. Also pretty funny to see the LCPDFR forum explode into political chaos and reports as this stuff happens, LOL.
  20. I assume it has to do with the funding. Smaller departments have less equipment to purchase. The man with the camo that has been circulating the news has turned himself into the Police.
  21. An injured officer was just declared dead. It has risen to 11 officers shot, 2 in critical condition and 4 dead.
  22. I'd like to see the BLM response to this incident. Maybe they'll remain silent. Only black lives matter, of course.
  23. The Police Chief believe that one of the suspects may have also planted bombs around the part of the city that the shooting occurred.
