Chevrolet Caprice PPV and Chevrolet SS Discontinued
I have faith the Impala 1FL could certainly work for a dept that was well served with the previous Impala. But 100% agreed, the loss of the Caprice (again) is tragic (again).

Favorite "Celebrity" LE Car
I really wish there had been more gratuitous CVPI use in The Walking Dead... And ya gotta love Sheriff! Okay, not exactly LE vehicles, but... I absolutely love the LTD in Backdraft. Only picture I could find at the moment... And Battalion 15 from Rescue Me. Again, another one I know there's better shots of, but all I could find right now. <3 old Suburbans.

Favorite "Celebrity" LE Car
I literally hate myself for forgetting the Mad Max interceptors... FML. 11John11, I love the color of that Impala. While completely absurd, gotta give a nod to the Caprice in Black Sheep, haha. And the remake 1-Baker-11 wasn't too bad for 2000. Made sense for their division.

Favorite "Celebrity" LE Car
Damn, that's the stuff I'm talking about guys. Didn't know or forgot about some of those. Legit! The Hawaii cars aren't too far off, a lot (if not most?) of LEOs in Hawaii use personally owned (subsidized) vehicles.

Favorite "Celebrity" LE Car
So we got a Favorite (General) Police Car and an amazing Classic Police Car thread... So how about your favorite "celebrity" car, used by a LEO in film/TV/game/etc? Definitely doesn't need to be your typical patrol car, because that wouldn't be Hollywood! I'd say for sure Nash Bridge's '71 Cuda convertible. Walker's Ram. Because reasons. Once upon a time in the late 90s there was this really crappy show called Pacific Blue, that I enjoyed so much it's embarrassing. While the show was about bike cops, the opening credits always had a Santa Monica PD Hummer in it, my favorite vehicle as a kid. It was used in maybe 3 episodes over like 5 years. Was sad to learn SMPD never actually had one. Honorable mentions: -My real favorite is probably Buford T. Justice's Pontiac LeMans, but I have posted that on this site a couple times already. -Walt Longmire's Ford Bronco. Honestly the entire Absaroka County Sheriff's Office livery is awesome. Very well done. Whatya got?

The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread
I gotta find a scanner... I have a decent amount of pictures of 90s era squads I took myself. Being that I took them in the 90s, that means they're actual pictures...

I am really mad at myself for not seeing this entire gallery until now. We have some similar tastes! Love your work.

Skoda cars around the world
Oh wow, that's... a lot of money, haha. Well if you drive 400km and get into some trouble, you might get a ride in a Charger!

Skoda cars around the world
The new Chargers are pretty cool! This is a generation older, buy maybe you could ask your neighbors to the East to sell this to you when they are done with it, haha. But yeah... They suck gas! If I could have any car not found in the USA... That would the the hardest decision I've ever made.

Haha, yeah, we're weird. And yeah emissions and crash testing tend to be reasons given. They would pass, just as they did for all the tests in their home markets. However, VW already has the Golf, Passat, and Tiguan to cover the Octavia/Fabia/Kodiaq markets. So they probably don't see the value of spending the time and money on getting the Skoda brand approved. That's the usual reason I get when I cry to Ford corporate (I work at a dealership) about not having the Falcon here, lol! HOWEVER, after the whole VW "dieselgate" thing, now might not be a bad idea to rebrand!

I dig the Kodiaq. That would make a cool squad. As for your car... Well for starters, not many consistently hit that 50mpg mark without being a hybrid, which means more expensive. But a comparable car would be the Golf of course, being same parent company and all. A VW Golf with similar options would be around $19,000-20,000 USD, but they only have an estimate of 35mpg. Just some averages of cars in similar size/options I saw quick from my dealership group and nearby dealers (mpg's are EPA highway estimate): -Toyota Yaris: 38mpg, $17,000 -Ford Fiesta: Unreliable, 40 mpg = $16,000 -Chevy Sonic: $18,000 -Honda Fit: $18,000 (38 mpg) -Mitsubishi Mirage: $15,000 (41mpg) (Ugly, look and feel cheap, actually drove one of these once) Your Fabia looks better than all of these too, in my opinion. It must be some kind of EPA/emissions garbage preventing those from being sold here, because especially after doing this, I think it would do well here. But what do I know, I daily drive a land yacht.

Very cool to hear from someone who owns a Skoda! I've always liked them (Czech heritage!). I would take an Octavia sedan in a heartbeat. Nothing special, just a nice clean looking car. They make for nice looking patrol cars. Your photoshop of the Kodiac didn't show for me, but I could imagine that being much cooler looking than the FPIU. As for your Fabia, one would think it would have huge potential in the US, but there's lots of competition. It's better looking than a lot of our smaller cars. Do they still make new Skoda vehicles in the Czech Republic or is it all out of VW plants?

(ELS)2016 FPIS W/Whelen Liberty
Drives great, looks great, liveries are plentiful and legit. I did not have the head poking through the roof issue some had mentioned. It does like to roll for me, but I might be missing something meta related, or I just need to slow the F down. This has a permanent slot in my line up now.

(ELS)2016 FPIS W/Whelen Liberty
Let me start off by saying this thing is great. The liveries are awesome too! Only thing, it's very roll-prone for me. I should note this is my first FPIS, and I have it in police2. Still one of my favorites to use at the moment!

If we really want the FPIU to be realistic...
Crossovers are certainly the most boring class of vehicle in general, but the Dodge Durango wins in the looks dept for CUVs in my opinion. Dodge pretty much wins in all looks categories these days though... Edit: It's not fair Illusionyary. We don't get cool stuff like legit Nissan Patrols, Toyota Hilux, Holdens, Falcons, etc etc etc... All classes are cooler over there.

Best Police Vehicles to Use
Nice! There are definitely some in there that I have missed. Thank you!

Favorite Police Vehicle?
FHP's small fleet of Marauders: Bubble Caprice Box Vics: Honorable mention of a certain 1977 Pontiac Lemans I love:

If we really want the FPIU to be realistic...
They really are great otherwise! We haven't had one come back (for the same concern) after the updated PTU gets installed. I think the Sport models look awesome, and these days you can dress them up any way you want. I dig this one, minus the roof rack!

If we really want the FPIU to be realistic...
...we need a model that will randomly blow it's transfer case/PTU. I work at a Ford dealership. I have lost count how many of these we have done on the AWD Utilities (and some civvi Explorers), but we average one every two weeks (granted we're in a busy area and serve a large number of departments). Today's was one of the more impressive ones, when it failed (pictured) it cracked the transmission shell too (not pictured). Fortunately all of the ones we have done have been covered by warranty! Really would like to be inside one when it fails. Almost every time the officer says they didn't even know it happened initially. They drive them to the dealership like this half the time! It's silly that they fail like this/so often, but dang if it ain't impressive that they can keep going!

Thanks to all
Agreed on all! Been finally getting the hang of it! Also, while the 4th Gen Camaros were certainly more of a "chick car" than the others, FHP pulled them off quite well! Or that T/A they tried once...!
