So since the recent game update with the casino resort and all that my LSPDFR & RAGE will not work at all. I do everything normal, the download and install, nothing different. The intro box appears and the usual, then the game loads and RAGE does it's thing where it say enjoy, then bam! A crash. the game just stops. It's really bugging me because LSPDFR is the only fun thing in GTA V. Any ideas why and how to fix it please? Thank you.

Try updating your update.rpf folder in your mods folder of openIV, i had a problem similar but mine didnt crash it just had constant loading screen. Also it could be a problem in one of your add on vehicle meta that will cause a RPH crash just before it says loaded plugin LSPDFR

Don't mean to sound dumb but how do you mean update my rpf? And I have literally nothing added, no cars, sounds, plugins etc its a clean copy and a clean *instal*, if you will, of LSPDFR, Script Hook etc. Never done this before so kinda stumped tbh lol

It's a GTA file, not an LSPDFR file. What is being said, is to copy the recently updated version of "update.rpf" to your MODS folder. COPY it. Do not drag and drop or you risk bricking the game.

What @chadc78 meant above was that open the app "Open IV" and when you load it up, on the top it should give you an option to update the mods folder. Do that. 

 

OPEN IV is an app that allows you to add cars and stuff so you should download it if you don't have it.

Weird. I had that option when I updated. I'm no testing team or whatever so not sure but did you click on edit mode and see then if it gave you the option to update or do you have a mods folder, which should have the old update.rpf already in it. 

Yeah, did all that. But nothing. I did re install the game like a week ago now, but shouldn't think that it would have any impact on installing LSPDFR. seeing as how I'm doing the same as i have done before.  

I had the same problem ! i Had to Unstalled the Game Restart the computer, Reinstalled the game copy my Mod Folder over updated it with the Open IV and Re tweak my setting again and bam it works!  Just cant get my ELS key Blinding to work But thats a whole another issue lol

Does your GTA 5 normally work? Like try starting the game through GTA 5 launcher or however you do with steam, not through rage. Does the game crash normally also? And could you post your RPH log? 

 

BTW what @Swat30 said above is kind of the best solution you could use. I had similar problems when I updated to the newest version of GTA and LSPDFR. I had crashes similar to everyone else. Reinstalling everything from scratch seemed to solve it for me. If you haven't been able to play LSPDFR in some time, I would recommend to just do this.

So yeah I'm currently. and have done like literally a few hours ago today, I even went into online, so yeah my GTA works fine, but as soon as I do even the simplest install, copy the game, re-name the original to (shorten) GTA V_Orig then name the copy to GTA V. Then I created the mods folder in which I copied the update and x64 (nothing I haven't done before) then the LSPDFR manual install stuff, ScriptHookV, Script Hook Dot Net. The same process as I always have. And yeah I played LSPDFR just before the Casino and Resort DLC update.

It's so weird and random. And ngl frustrating. 

Nope still nothing. I did an integrity check of the game and it was missing 188 files so I uninstalled and installed the game but still to no avail. It's so frustrating and annoying that ever since the new DLC update LSPDFR and RAGE will not work. Could it be that I haven't installed something like a 'windows redistributable' file and if so why is it affecting me now and not then? or could it be my security software? But once again I changed that before the new DLC. What's more annoying RAGE isn't giving me an error to even analyse, and when I launch the RAGE it doesn't have a little check box at the bottom saying if I wish to disable the patch info when playing. So when the game launches it launches like usual but then about a millisecond in it minimizes the little enjoy thing then closes. So I don't know what to do.
