So i've installed ELS and Modern Sirens Pack, but when i press E i get only the air horn, no siren. When i press J i can cycle through the different light modes. On the mode 3 (Full) the siren only works if i press G. If i try to press G without any lights on the siren doesnt work. Is this how it's supposed to work or am i doing something wrong?

That's pretty much how it's supposed to work, yeah. I honestly prefer ELS because I can pull cars over without being all Code 3 on the traffic stop.

 

You should read the keys documentation provided with ELS to see the hotkey presses.

ELS basically overwrites the default game controls for lights and sirens. 

 

Like Dark Light said, read the documentation provided with ELS to understand the keys. 

 

In short, J cycles between the 3 light stages which most emergency vehicles have. Numbers 1-6 across the top control the sirens, Y is the air horn. 

 

But again, don't go based on what I just told you, read the documentation that was provided. There's a reason mod creators provide those Read Me files.

Its how its supposed to work. IRL Im almost sure the only way you can activate siren with no lights is through the manual switch. Police departments in the US don't have a code for responding with siren and no lights. Kinda beats the purpose
