I've seen lets play's of it already on Youtube and I like what I see. I remember playing the hell out of True Crimes:Streets of LA and True Crimes:New York City. I might go out and buy this game tomorrow and give it a go. I heard of True Crimes: Hong kong but never realized Sleeping Dogs was actually the game True Crimes game but with a different published title.

Sadly not that I've seen.

It has drug busts and arrests, but there more like scripted side quests that they've dotted around. So its not free to do to anyone like TC:NY

Still having great fun with it tho. Game looks stunning on PC!

yeah you can set up surveillance cameras or hack into them and arrest drug dealers but you cant frisk people which sucks...hopefully the sequel will have more of what true crime streets of la had...i remember i always tried to steal the squad cars they were pretty rare to see but loved the strobe lights on it much better looking then the ugly ones on san andreas

I love this game.

I just found out yesterday that you could change radio stations. Before I had it on low volume, since I didn't like the Chinese music. But I turned it back up once I found that out. I like the 80s station, and the classic rock station. The game is even better now with music!

I hope there's a sequel to it.

I loved TC:NY, but I never finished it. I've gotta get back to it soon, maybe after this. I might try getting it for my PC, since it has less glitches than the Xbox version.

The graphics look great too!

I took some pictures of the game running on max settings if any of you are interested:

ok guy's were are you bying it for pc i do not wan't a download copy? i wan't one i can hold in my hand and call mine. i mean i have wondered if stem ever wen't down and your computer crashed how would you get a game that you so called owend. on a side not does any one think there will be moded car's for this game like gta iv i don't think that anyone ever moded car's for true crime right?

@nat: I got it for PC, and I think it's better on PC; better graphics for the most part, if you have the hardware. But it may be easier if you have a joypad, because using the keyboard can be tricky with this type of game.

I don't know about the modding. The modding community doesn't seem to be as big as the GTA community, we'll have to wait and see. Even if there is going to be mods, they probably won't be as good, or as many of them, compared to GTA.

Apparently the game is highly moddable and will supposedly support mods. I don't know, haven't played it yet.

were did you buy your?

Games fantastic. Just a shame there isnt more in the way of random spawning crimes.

Altho I have seen what appears to be random events, just not entirely sure if they are tho, as they are soooo infrequent.

(They appears as a gold shield marker, like a shop robbery etc)

Oh, and unlike GTA4, it doesnt run like s**t. heh :P

I think I'll stick to Truecrime: NYC

Loved that game so much. I really need to get it on PC as I haven't owned a PS2 in years

This game is just as good, if not better if you ask me. This is one game you don't want to miss out on, or at least get it when the price goes down.

But I agree with you, I loved True Crime: NYC. I gotta get back to it.

I've just recently obtained it for PC, it runs great but I'm missing road textures, Google tells me its an issue with Windows 7 or switchable graphics

Edit: The reason I prefer NYC is because of the sheer amount of police work you can do, as far as I'm aware, Sleeping Dogs has scripted, story driven crimes and not the traditional ones NYC had, not to mention there's a debug menu which I've yet to figure out how to activate on PC
