If you want to be at the edge of your seat the entire movie you should definitely watch this. I went to a screening a long time ago so the scenes may have changed a bit and maybe made a bit easier on the viewer but the version we saw was absolutely AMAZING movie. The story grips you all along and drags you without giving you a moment to look away from the screen. If you like intense movies like Crash, Stuck or Drive then this is for you.

Everyone applauded after the movie finished at the screening. The story is just so real and so intense that makes your hair stand straight.

The good thing is that from the first second you get into the movie until the very end. Its a story of love and intense action combined that is real not superficial. Its something that could be happening right now in your neighborhood.

LOL i love it when people say they have seen movies that haven't even come out yet, like they have special priviledges, it crack's me up, same thing happened with GTAV when it was announced "ohive played this game when it comes out you will love it", fabricators and people who just plain talk out of there asses aggrevate me..

Now, back on topic- this has been posted before, however, cannot wait until it is released!

Perhaps he's been to a press screening or premiere?

I can't wait for this movie to come out. I love all of Ayer's stuff, I liked Harsh Times, Training Day and even Street Kings. There haven't been many movies that focus soley on patrol officers, so this will be a rarity, and a gem at that. Ayer grew up in Los Angeles and served in the U.S. Navy, so his scripts are authentic. The fact that he's writing, directing and producing this is a sure sign of a good film.

From the looks of things, Jake Gyllenhaal's character's a former U.S. Marine. He has an Eagle, Globe and Anchor pin on his uniform pocket, and has U.S. Navy/USMC medals on his uniform.

Here's an interview, which shows even more footage from the film:

I also noticed the LAPD CVPIs had Arjent lightbars. I think this is the first major film, that I've seen that, had them.

This smells of killing off a main character...

I don't know, at the end of the "red band" trailer, the two main characters are being awarded the Medal of Valor, which is the highest medal a police officer can get, which probably means that they survived whatever the film threw at them. Although, in the trailer, you can see a close-up shot of the dead body of an LAPD officer who was stabbed through the eye with a knife; from the looks of things, that was probably one of the supporting cast.
