I can see where you're coming from but who's to say it's unrealistic? I'm sure IRL police operate differently in a known gang-active area as opposed to how they would on a generic downtown traffic stop. If you want to play things safe, when stopping a vehicle, call for backup first. Having extra bodies in the event of a shootout is rarely a bad thing. I personally will call for gang task-force backup if I'm operating somewhere such as Grove St. I've only been killed once in this scenario. The rest of the time, it's quite good fun. Just keep your head down and remember to call for backup.

Try one of the Keep Calm type addons. Not sure if they're updating or working, but might help with ped reactions.

Some plugins have this built in already though not all of them affect gang members. I'd advise reading the mod's description prior to downloading to ensure it will affect gang members if you choose to go down this route.

I believe StopThePed has this functionality and so far it works, at least in my experience. There is a boolean to toggle the effect for gang members but I haven't tested this yet on 0.4.1

Yeah, by default it is:

[CalmPed]

// If set to yes then all gang member peds will not be affected (yes/no)
ExcludeGangMembers=yes

My question to you is what support do you need help with. Tbh, this sounds more like a review then support. If you wanna leave a review, you can go to this area I believe: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/767-general-miscellaneous-discussion/

However, on the ai side of things. That is just how GTA 5 gang AI will be. Best solution, either avoid that area, or find a ped calming script. There is not much else that you can do about how Rockstar has programmed the Gangs to respond to gunfire. I just deal with it by shotgunning most of them and arresting a few. 😛

dude i was just really frustrated and venting, but your right. It should be my police to call swat backup for traffic stops in heavy gang areas. I guess i'm an idiot for not thinking that way. When it comes to real life though, if you shot a gang member yes the fellas will get a bit upset but in real life they know there would be an absolute shit storm of a manhunt and subsequent retaliation by the police for that kind of force. The United states has never had an issue with locking down a city or a part of it and treating the place like hostile country.

To open fire on the police like that in real life would never happen from a traffic stop. people like their community too much and that community would be turned upside down if that happened. At the current state, there is a bit of coexisting that can only be had when there are a few rules followed by both sides.

I posted this initially because the vanilla gta should be modified when using lspdfr as that seems like a core feature that should be implemented into the main LSPDFR mod.

I usually prefer patrolling gang areas as that is where most of my felony arrests come from. I've heavily modified my game so that a 2 hour patrol may only lead to one arrest (if that) and I really enjoy it that way. If i find my felony arrest numbers go down, I shake a fella down and give him the ol "Participating in gang" charge. It may be going to far but i like the computer + side of things and an arrest can mean 5-15 minutes of computer+ paperwork which i convert to a notepad report. I've saved every arrest report i have made and after around 60 hours of gameplay i have only 26 Arrests with 19 being felonies.

I've modded the game to be as close to a real life patrol as possible and that means really boring stuff and I love it!!

To add, Even traffic stops get a full paper trail. I simulate a full police shift and that includes going back to the station while my reports process and shit.
