I made some changes to the text. I wanted to correct a misspelling as I wanted to properly credit an author whose model I was using. It has to be approved again my an admin since I changed it. Hopefully it will be back up soon.

I need those lightbars :D

All the models are available here or on gtapolicemods. Check to see who the author of the model is, and you'll find it with some searching.

Just textures here y'all

You read my mind friend, I'll have them up later this evening or tomorrow at the latest. I'd like to make 4 total so that you can use all four livery spots.

Hope you like the landstalker, heard you were looking for a polpatriot replacement. I'm still planning on doing a full "improved default police" pack later on.

Textures submitted for mod approval! In the meantime here are some tasty screens:

For those of you who are sticklers for accuracy in their liveries....four unique ones! I made some minor improvements to the LCPD logo by enlarging it, adding more space with the bottom stripe, having the top stripe line up more accurately with the front fender line, and the POLICE font on the rear of the car to match NYPD Chargers...apparently the badge is not present on NYPD ones whatsoever in this livery.

Next up is the New Alderney liveries to match all default cars...

Awesome! Based on New Jersey State Police?

Did you have new LCPD skins for the Cruiser and Patrol also? You showed some off next to the Buffalo.

Those are Lt.Caine's ones (he made multi-livery Police Patrol and Cruser, look for them on GPM). And if that New Alderney pack comes out, I'm going to throw out my simple NASP skins :P

Ah, I thought he was tweaking them to be more accurate to NYPD markings along with his Buffalo skins, my mistake.

Hey, we've got four slots so the more the merrier.

The Lt. Caine ones are actually my guide! His are the most accurate by far. They are available that way from his files, great stuff. Its the reason I got into modding and texturing cars!

Alderney liveries coming up? Looking forward to them, I could do with a change from what I've got over that the at the moment.

They are yes, though I haven't gotten started. I'm going off of Lt. Caine's skins, he made some "New Liberty" ones with yellow tri-stripes and black bodies with white doors, so I'll be going off that, though I need to research NJ State Trooper cars as well.

Also, Ekalb, quick modeling question: When you alter the front drivers side wheel, does it apply this change to all four wheels? I'm looking to remove that hub piece. I'm also wondering how hard it would be to take the license plate recess and move it to the bumper from the trunklid, to match the Charger a bit more...

Also, anyone out there got a link to good reference material? I use google image mostly, but it would help to have a site or two.

Edited by DLer

Yes, removing the hubcap should be easy enough. All you have to do is delete it from the one visible wheel and it'll work for all the wheels since they are all essentially duplicates of that one. Moving the numberplate will probably be easy, changing the shape of the actual boot may be a bit more of a challenge.

Thanks for the info Ekalb. I also want to map the license plate on the open Cruiser v3.6 Lt.Caine has to match my Buffalo. Sadly he never posted an open version of the Patrol car. Maybe I can add the vehshare texture to the patrol file? I wonder...

I thought that cruiser is open...

Yes, the Cruiser "Crown Vic" is open, but the Patrol "Impala" is not.
