Question for everyone: Who else do you know of that focuses on non-els, GTA models? I'm curious to know if there are any other modders out there I should be watching

Other than Ekalb, and ITO, I can't think of another modder that does mostly R* inspired vehicles. I'd like to find more options myself.

Well there's BOVRILwares, and for civilian cars I've found Thundersmacker, LamboFreak, cromchen, tall70, Dhruv AKA Fulcrum, and that is all I can think of at the moment.

Hmm @^ there is also louping0 but him with cromchen (only some) & Thundersmacker are moving on doing low-size real cars.

Is this livery available for download? I've never seen it before.

It looks like the Buffalo design there is a single, thick blue strip, seemingly for NOOSE and that particular unit is [something] Protection. It could be my Buffalo with an edited lightbar but I know that Sam had a buffalo and Lt.Caine/Luxart had one so it's just as likely to be either of those. 

That's Municipal Protection, and I guess it's vector on that Buffalo, so it's rather Sam's one, as it also had vector.

I did make a LCPD livery for that Schafter, made revisions to the one seen in the images a few pages back. As for the Washington, I may consider doing a LCPD one when it comes around.

 

I'll do a mediafire link like the others on the frontpage, but it may be awhile as I'm between places at the moment. Got a new job and my computer is at my old apartment, and I won't have it set up at my new place for a while.

 

Anyone wondering where that Contender is, please be patient as Bovrilwares also got a new job and is in transition! I'm excited to see how it comes out. 

 

Really excited for my summer computer build, looking forward to GTA IV with AA and running at full capacity!

I'll consider that, once I'm back up and running with my computer. Man, I know it would be wise to wait until summer when computer parts drop but I'm getting impatient....!

I hate to do it, but is anyone out there willing to finish up the 4 door Contender? BOVRILwares has been absent from the site since late May. He was working on a civilian version with some custom plates and liveries by me, as well as a police version.

 

I have the files, but they need some work to get right. Ekalb, it'd be awesome if you'd take that on.

Well for one there is no current police version. Last update was late March actually. The civilian version was good but needed some tweaks to get right:

 

Handling line needed modification for added length

Front plate needs work to look correct (plate surround), as well as rear plate as it seemed compressed, needs indentation to sit not at an angle.

 

Anyways I don't want to just take these files and send them over anywhere without his consent, but I had asked long ago since he wasn't active, to no avail. Anyone out there who can get in touch with him?

That, and the game runs so much smoother without all these high poly vehicles. Your cars look very high quality, and that makes a huge difference in my decision.

Hey man, that is greatly appreciated. I feel that you follow that belief that you can have quality without performance suffering.

 

I responded to your message as well about the Contender. I've been wanting to get this project completed since bovrilWARES sadly is out of commission from what it seems. Lets try and collaborate on this and see what comes of it.
