Aaron123 when you learn to read (grade 2 or so of school) please feel free to come back over and ask your question again. Until then have fun with your harry potter invisibility cloak mod for GTAIV.

May i ask where you get off responding to people like that? there is no need for it..

Some people have problem's with english and this forum is in ALL ENGLISH, so until you can learn to be nice, please, feel free to come back over and post your useless help again..

@Aaron123- What kind of graphics card do you have?

He was asked multiple times what specs he has, he then continued to ignore those requests and ask even more questions. I'm sorry if you took offense to my post to a person who frankly did not answer questions but continued to demand answers to new questions.

This forum is indeed all english, he spoke english quite well so I have a feeling he chose to ignore the questions asked of him. No need for it, probably not, however if someone chooses to ignore those attempting to help him, I'll post that way towards them so that they will read it and MAYBE they will scroll up to find out WHY I posted that way.

But thank you for saying it was a useless post, much like his questions that have actually been answered many times in this forum. In future perhaps you could link him to the post that he skipped over to create this thread, instead of jumping on someone with a sense of humour.

Regards,

AussieMerc.

EDIT:

Getting Support on the LCPDFR Forums

It can be a very frustrating experience when something isn't going right with LCPDFR. We understand this fully and we commit ourselves to always provide the best possible support that we can. To do this, however, we need you to help us help you, and by reading and adhering to the following guidelines, you will not only ensure that your post isn't removed, but you will also help us to provide you with quicker and better support.

Before posting a topic in this section, please ensure that you have:

- Checked for similar issues to yours in this forum

Our forum staff are constantly having to deal with duplicate support requests. Before posting a topic here, please make sure that there is no other topic posted which is similar to your issue, instead, read that topic and look for any solutions - if none are present, you can then start a new topic with information regarding your problem. Please do not, however, hijack threads by other member, i.e. do not post your issue, within an existing support request of another user.

- Tried simple solutions

Before posting a support request please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that FirstResponse.net.dll is in the SCRIPTS folder and that AdvancedHook.dll is in the GTA IV ROOT folder.
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the SCRIPTS folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the automatic installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: http://www.microsoft...9f-b21f31ab88b7, http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en
  • Run a diagnostic report (found here: ) which will point any errors it can find and will be used later on if you need to post a topic.

- Complied with topic posting procedure in this section

If you need to post a topic requesting support, make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post your diagnostics report log dump.
  • Post any other relevant logs.
  • Include as much information as possible.

If you follow these guidelines and are calm and polite in your attitude, we, and other forum users, will endeavour to help you as much as we possibly can. If you fail to follow these guidelines, you will receive an infraction and have your topic binned.

@Aaron123- What kind of graphics card do you have?

i can understand AussieMerc.

The same question was asked hundred times befor.

And if you read the support forums and other questions a lot you start to become angry. I really understand if you new and all but for real I mean its not that hard to look at 2-3 Pages or use the Forum Search.

Yesterday i was involved in a Thread. And i tryid to help a user that Posted the same question twice.. no not because of raping the "Send" Button..but because he was unable to wait more then 2 Minutes to get an answer. And after i did answer his Question i just get an reply like "simply say yes or no. i can't read a 10 words post Im not on the Computer 24/7"

I know not everyone is like that but it starts to make up your mind u know?

It's not like we want to be rude but, is it really that hard to read/google/search and behave your self like a mature?

you're right. lets try to help this fella.

So. aaron1203:

As far as i know the Problem of disapearing Textures is caused by a Memory Leak.

do you use Car Mods? If yes try to remove some of them. Or use a commandline.txt

It would be helpfull for us if you would post your Computer Specs.

Your processor, graphic card. RAM, hard disk, PSU, etc.

You can try a Commandline :P if you want to know how to do that , Open notepad and paste this -availablevidmem "4.5" Paste that in and save it as commandline.txt , Move it to your desktop and then to your GTA IV directory :) If this was confusing or didnt work look up how to stop gta iv texture problem. If this DID help please click the green up arrow :)<3 Hope I helped :D

Tip of the day: Commandlines like the one that Zed posted can damage your computer

Commandlines work differently on every computer, so we need to know your specs to help you. There is no such commandline that will work great all the time.

No need to get rude here.. Not everybody know english aswell as, I suppose, you do. I understand that it is annoying that you feel he is ignoring the most important question, and aint reading stickies but for god sake, just chillax.

On topic: You said it wouldn't patch. Do you have a legit copy of GTA IV?

You may wanna try lower your graphics settings and update video drivers.

Edit: If you dont know how to find your computer specs do following:

1. Open start menu.

2. Right click computer and click properties.

- You will see something like this (Dont kill me, but this is my laptop, not desktop computer!):

m5gTG.png

I assume from own experience, where it says processor, it also tells you what graphics card you got.

And if you are using a laptop, I guess there is a sticker on it to the lower right/left where it says something about the specs.

He didn't have any issues with english, other than not understanding how to use grammar. As for everyone asking him the same question with him not replying whatsoever, have fun with that.

Thank you to whoever voted my two posts down.

But hey on topic.

Aaron123, please answer the question that everyone so far has asked of you before any of us can help you further, please do not use the commandline given to you above as that can indeed cause problems for your pc.

There are only really two reasons that you cannot install 1.0.7.0 - A. You are running a Steam copy and it is already at 1.0.7.0 or B. You're running a pirated copy for which you will receive no support here for.

The disappearing textures is generally caused by having high detail vehicles installed in your game or by having sub-par system specifications. Either of those can and will cause disappearing textures (I've also experienced this and after a certain time of playing, I experience it still to this day).

If you still cannot understand or choose to ignore all of the things you've been told, I wish you luck with your harry potter cloak of inisibility.

Regards,

AussieMerc.

Just post your PC spec's if you want help, the question may or may not have been asked before but whether we like it or not, it will most certainly be posted again and again, if you have been here alot then you would understand that it's going to keep happening, no matter what we say or do.

@aaron123-we can't help you if you do not give details.
