The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Why is it so laggy?

Featured Replies

Hi I just downloaded lspdfr and I am not sure why but 1) it is super laggy I have to use the controllers to enter a police station, 2) I can add any of my own mods such as Uniform and stuff and 3) maybe add a tutorial for the newbies like me

There are a lot of tutorials on the internet, almost every mod comes with a readme wich tells you how to install a mod properly. However for installing cars and uniforms u need OpenIV, there are also very good tutorials on youtube.

That LSPDFR runs laggy could be due to bad PC specs.

What Computer System do you have?

Like are their specific specs for lspdfr?

Before installing a mod, always use it's "read me" file, there are alot of online tutorials available to properly install mod in your system, one more thing each mod has different system requirements, maybe you PC is not supporting.

The FX 4100 isn't the best CPU and I can see that causing issues when you'd add LSPDFR and other plugins.

basically, the real culprit of the performance issue is the way  Rockstar added so many "anti-mod" countermeasures on each GTA V patches.

it affects on how RagePluginHook accessing core GTA V engine. and to battle those countermeasures, it will need 2x, 3x, or more CPU cycles to process

you can feel it if you're an old time LSPDFR player, the newer the GTA V patch, the slower (more FPS drop) we will get.

that's why, no matter powerful GPU you have, it won't help much... if you're playing with RPH & LSPDFR, you need very powerful CPU.

It is pretty easy to tell where your performance bottleneck is if you look at resource manager while the game is running.  You would need 2 monitors to make sure you can see resource monitor while actually playing the game.

Most likely your bottleneck is with your CPU, but it could also be something like slow hard drive access, or if your RAM is maxed out due to other programs running, you may be swapping to the disk, which would put extra load on the hard drive.

I don't actually see LSPDFR using that much more resources than playing GTAV without LSPDFR.  You may want to consider reducing the population density.
