I have a sony vaio laptop and i would like to know if i can run windows 7 ultimate 64 bit?

I have:

Proccessor: AMD Athlon 2 p340 Dual-Core Proccessor 2.20GHz

Ram:4,00GB (3,74GB usable)

Gaphic card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series

Do you think i can?Please respond!

According to microsoft's required specs, yes it can run it.


  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

It might not be fast, but it could boot. Not sure why you would need to buy Ultimate, though.

So if i run windows 7 ultimate 32 bit they will run faster?

Yes sir you can, Vista asks you for at least 512 MB ram, and Win7 asks you for 1Gb and at least 1Ghz processor. I suggest you run Home Premium or that Ultimate, both works fine on laptops. Any problem just let me know, i'm engineer and i like to help other people as well.
