I have found the ELS siren strings! 100% WORKING!

Featured Replies

I have done this, but i have also found where i may have gone wrong. I have Albo1125's Modding DLC and found a 'hidden' audio file cache. It may have to go in there, but i do not know.

However, i have the x64 location with the Resident placed in my mods folder and other tones from the siren group (Police Warning, Siren 2, Airhorn) are working and were not in the Modding DLC area, it's just the Primary Siren that does not seem to match up to any of the hashes (have the audio file installed in three different slots, those being Police Primary and the two FIB) and reverts back to a Whelen Rumbler i had placed when i re-did my mods folder from a clean re-install, or the base-game sirens.

    Hello, I know it's been stated that sirens wail and quick 04 don't work. I was just wondering if there has been any progress in getting them to work? Seeing how this thread is 2 years old. If not oh

Sounds like your own problem then, a reinstall of everything should resolve it.

Just a reminder for anyone using this, the PoliceB sirens are swapped with each other for some reason.

0x013F5FE7(PoliceB Primary)=RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_03

0x17DDFB5C(PoliceB Secondary)=RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_03

@TheHC09 You should update this in your post as well.

First of all, I don't know why you "quoted" me when it's just yourself typing. Second, as I've explained in your other post, this is a vehicles.meta file, it has nothing to do with ELS, and thirdly, the problem that you have has nothing to to with ELS hashes. Please refer back to your topic for assistance.

Omg this is great, well done for finding this and I hope you can continue to "Fix" some of the issues found with it as such. Personly I am having problems with the Two bike tones being silent and the firetruck secondary doing the same thing. Any thoughts?

It could be due to your vehicles.awc file being too large.

Get a brand new vehicles.oac with the vanilla sirens and the new siren filenames. Test that first and then try your modded sirens, ensuring you don't go over 15.7MB in the archive.

If it's over 15.7MB, install this into your vehicles.awc file. https://mega.nz/#!DAtlnYAR!h_swKJvHeltN-uJvmbDuhJ4EVstC3gj3_JpdXv7Qw-8

On the 12th line down change your <audioNameHash />

Right now, you're using the default audio files for that vehicle. So police4 is using the audio files for police 4. but what you want it to be using are the default audio files for vehicles that have ELS like police, police2 and police3.

So change your audio hash lines to: <audioNameHash> police2 <audioNameHash /> or <audioNameHash> police3 <audioNameHash />

Let me know if that solves your issue

Rockstar updated the names of the police wail and yelp a while ago. Current ones:

"SIREN_PA20A_WAIL"

"AIRHORN_EQD"

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong on this?

<SOUNDS>
        <MainHorn InterruptsSiren="false" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_FIRETRUCK_WARNING" />
        <ManTone1 AllowUse="true" AudioString="RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01" />
        <ManTone2 AllowUse="true" AudioString="RESIDE NT_VEHICLES_SIREN_ FIRETRUCK_QUI CK_01" />
        <SrnTone1 AllowUse="false" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1" />
        <SrnTone2 AllowUse="false" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_2" />

        <SrnTone4 AllowUse="false" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_AMBULANCE_WARNING" />
        <AuxSiren AllowUse="false" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1" />
        <PanicMde AllowUse="false" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_POLICE_WARNING" />
    </SOUNDS>

Can anyone go into further detail on how to get this to work, I install my audio files just like I normally would into resident. rpf- vehicles.awc.

Then after that as long as I don't go over the 15.7mb limit I go into the els xml and change the audio hashs? do I have all that right?

can someone also post a example xml file so I can see what it supposed the look like

@TheHC09

I use latest RDE which has switched sirens for hwaycar(s) models. It's vanilla but it can still be put into ELS.

So I changed ELS sirens to FIB as RDE uses them, but cars still have basic police siren.

hella confused on what to do lol... I installed the modern siren pack but in the oiv, it did state that for any other sirens to work it had to be edited in the els.xml. What i am trying to figure out is the following-

1-there are 4 main siren tones correct? and then the horn right?

2-if so is it possible to have all 4 and the horn be individualized for police fire and ems?

3-maybe it would be good if someone did a write up using the modern siren pack because it auto installs a certain set of sirens but to activate the rest it has to be done within the els settings.
