Hello people,

I've started to make my reskins for gta IV but now i've done alot of them i would like to know where i can download a lightbar which i can attach to a model. But as i see in Zmodeler, there are alots of parts and where do i have to connect the lightbar to?

Look for lightbars on GTA Police Mods under development support or pull them off other vehicles that have been provided open and unlocked to the modding community. Just import it into the vehicle you are working on then it doesn't really matter what you attach it to as far as I know, you don't really need to attach it to anything. Just put it into the hierarchy and make sure the textures for it are present.

Do you/anyone know where i can get a unlocked police car model? Like a CVPI?

I don't mean to be rude but how hard did you look?

Thanks to the links, i've imported the lightbar from bxbugs into zmodeler and put it into the chassis sub folder. so its now a part of the crown victoria. (Second link)

When i try to export the police.wft i get this error:

Click the little "+" sign to open the error and see whats causing it.

Also, your car isn't mapped to any texture so it'll most likely be white ingame.

Before importing your model into zModeler, open the texture browser and add all the textures the car uses, then import the model. Same process goes for the lightbar

Make sure all the vehicle's textures (all the images inside the .wtd file, as well as any textures that came with the lightbar AND all the vehshare textures) are in the same folder as the .z3d and .wft file you are working on for starters.

Expand that last error message with the + icon to see what it says.

Wait why is your hierarchy so small? Did you delete lots of things from the crown vic model you downloaded? That's not going to work ingame at all... Unless they're all inside the chassis that isn't expanded

Also it means you have two parts with the same name, you need to delete one of them.

The part that it tells you in the error message that there are too many of. And pretty much any part in the hierarchy with the same name as another part has to be deleted or renamed.

From your screenshot though I really don't see the car working well ingame in its current state.

The part that is in the message has been duplicated by accident, it will most likely be towards the bottom of the hierarchy. Find and delete it.

Okay, wierd problem, i've found the duplicate of it and deleted it. If im trying to export it again it gives me the same error. Also i tried to delete all that parts but still the same error.

Then you have more duplicate objects in your hierarchy. Remember to expand the error message to see exactly which part.

I expanded it, and its the exactly same error. I've been looking everywhere but no where is a duplicate of it.

Post a screenshot of your hierarchy with everything expanded.

Or provide a direct link to the original sized images? I think I can see duplicates but I can't be sure since I can't see the names clear enough.
