Best language to learn for police use?

Featured Replies

I'm in the middle of the Great Plains (Illinois) so I don't think that Spanish is out of the question, just not as practical. So basically I'm wondering what you guys think what language I should learn.

If you live in Illinois, why does your location say New Orleans?

That depends on the town. Is there a large immigrant population? If so, from where?

I don't like Illinois that much. :geek:

Not a large immigrant population.

well...as a police officer you encounter ALOT of people that do not use english and spanish, soo there is no true answer unless you feel like learning russian polish, and spanish on top of knowing english....My area in Illinois is full of spanish, russian, and polish speaking residents and 99% of the local police officers only speak..guess what..english

In depth answer: Go to Wikipedia and read up on your town/county to see what percentages of ethnic groups there are. Base it off of that. Shot answer: Spanish. If North and South America reformed their native languages based on population, it would be Spanish.
