Hey Ekalb, some very nice work you got there!

Could you possibly tell me where you got your spotlight from?

In the picture of the Vincent? The spotlight is just using Jorge's spotlight mod. If it looks a bit different it's probably just my ENB. The model itself in the middle of the lightbar is just one of the rotators from the default police cruiser's lightbar but it's not attached to the siren so it doesn't rotate.

May I ask how you made the advisory bar? Like the arrows?

Pretty much there are three parts to it, the black box base which is just attached to the vehicle chassis and then half the lights that are attached to the left rear indicator and the other half of the lights that are attached to the right indicator. Each light has it's own texture (so you can change their colour or shape) in the emerglights_emis file and because they are attatched to the indicators the game knows to 'brighten' those textures whenever the indicators on the vehicle are active. So that means when you use the strobes mod or the indicator script that lets you control the indicators, you essentially have control of the traffic advisor bar too. The downside is that it's pretty limited in what you can do, either left-side on, right-side on or both sides on. No patterns and no more than 2 states at this stage.

I have included the arrow pattern for the traffic advisor bars in the 'advanced users' folder for each download.

That one? Default police cruiser. I've pulled all the police equipment from the default cars (pushrod, 3x lightbars, computer, radio, aerials, siren boxes etc.) into one .z3d file that I use.

Those cars are beautiful! I love that Vincent, it will go as police4 with Traffic Spawner. But I have a question - would it be possible for one model to spawn with two lightbars (one as normal one and one as slicktop), like Lt. Caine did with his Buffalo (BUFF-V1.0M)? Also, as I said before, if you'd have some time, could you do a police buffalo, similar to Caine's one, but multi-livery?

Yeah, I'm having trouble extracting all the equipment from the default cruisers.

I think I released an unlocked version of the police computer a while ago.

Can't remember though.

I think I'll have a take on the Buffalo next up. Request came through by PM and I should be able to oblige. I'm aware at least Lt. Caine and Sam both have Buffalo mods and I'd like mine to be different. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Yeah I think that's the direction I might go with it Yard but here's what I'm having trouble with;

2012071600001y.jpg

I have a maximum of eight lights in total. I can apply lights to the base (that will always spawn) and to any extra configuration. My issue is where the lights would go best and with what lightbar. If I've only got 4 lights to use on the lightbar/extra then I need to find a bar that will look good with 4 lights.

Any suggestions (or unlocked lightbars? :P) would be appreciated. I understand Caine did a similar thing but I'm starting from scratch and I want to be unique.

I think that Sam's CVPI has WHELEN EDGE (Non-ELS) and it's unlocked, so maybe it would be possible to rip the lightbar (if it's that what you need)? And what about default R* V-shaped lightbar?

The issue with both of those is I don't think they'll look good with only four lights.

I'm working on a version of the buffalo by request that has a Go Rhino pushbar, Whelen Edge lightbar and rear deck lights. I've put a picture in the original post. Two have the two rear deck lights in that variant I've had to only have six on the lightbar. It doesn't look too bad with six but I think four is too few for that lightbar.

I could use the federal signal streethawk again, it can look alright with four lights.

I'd love a MX7000 or maybe an Excalibur but the challenge is digging one up from somewhere that is open and unlocked. I think Lt.Caine is responsible for most of the ones you see around but I believe he's off the modding scene.

e: might have found one on one of Caine's old models.

I've come to the decision that I'll release two versions of the Buffalo, the same as I did with the Vincent. One will be just a regular police version with 2 extra parts to alternate between lightbar+pushbar or slicktop. The other will be the Buffalo 'Interceptor' that I've been requested to make which has at the moment a wrap-around pushbar, a whelen edge, a prisoner divider and rear deck lights. The Interceptor version is progressing very well.

Edited by Ekalb

That's good to hear! I'll suerly use that regular one, but I will think about that Interceptor version too!

Also, maybe you can ask BxBugs123 for those lightbars? He uses them on his models.
