I saw that FiveM had a mod that showed all the street names in the map on the pause menu, and I'd love to use this.  As someone who still doesn't have every single street name memorized, I think this could be helpful.

There is Player Location Display... Which gives you the street name/direction you're heading (outside of the pause map so you don't have to pause the game)

I do use PLD, but this is more for callouts.  If I get a callout, I want to be able to check the big map for what street it's on ahead of time.

You could probably download this FiveM mod and rather than installing it via the FiveM files you could just install it through the GTA V files (considering they replace the same files, just located in the a different path).

You can still find that map mod that people use for FiveM. And you can just install that into your game. Should work just fine.

Do you have a link to it, or are you referring to the one Couthink listed?  I checked my files, and I'm not sure where to replace/add the ones in that download.

There was one on HSG, not sure if it's there anymore. In the readme, it said where to put it, and it had a similar pathing from the 5mAppData to what it would be in V. I think I also installed it in my single player, but it was near a R* update, so I lost it due to not backing up the game

So, I found the location to replace mapzoomdata.meta, but I cannot find the cdimages\scaleform_generic. I found mods-->x64e-->levels-->gta 5-->minimap, but the readme says data-->cdimages-->scaleform_generic.  Do you recall the right path?

The minimap and minimap_sea locations are in x64b.rpf-data-cdimages-scaleform_generic.rpf
