Hey guys, I just recently tried out ELS for the first time (I know, I know. I should have done it sooner)

I primarily use a controller when playing LSPDFR and use a keyboard for some of the post-arrest 

plugins like search, breathalyze and paperwork.

 

However, ELS has a controller mode and a few of its default buttons are nice while others cause conflicts

with Police radio and other mods. And it's actually making me think twice about using the mod.

 

Here is the default controls setup:

After checking the keyboard button numbers list I don't have any indication of how to change the .ini file to map controls to the controller

and conversely unmap some others from the controller. (the author had to make everything a bit more complicated by not using the traditional

ini setup with control changers like: Lights On/Off=DPad Up)

 

Post your advice or even better, a copy of this section in YOUR .ini and lets swap setups!

 

I'd really like to keep the siren on/off mapped to d-pad down and maybe get light control with D-pad up since ELS has disabled the cellphone

while in a vehicle. All other keybinds need to go primarily to the keyboard and I'll use my controllers chatpad to change siren tones etc.

from what i remember from dealing with this myself, your best bet is to change the keybindings of everything else... but in the download folder there is a readme or info and it has all the keybindings for changing. I personally just changed my smart radio to dpadup and dpadright to scroll so all it does it turn the takedowns on. But also another thing to remember is that Scroll lock will lock all ELS keys, including controller keys. So you can type, use SmartRadio, or whatever other keys you need with no ELS activity. Unfortunately we have a lot of plugins fighting for a few keys so key conflicts will always happen.

I totally forgot all about Scroll lock. I recall hearing Jeff Favignano talking about it in one of his videos and it never donned on me. Thanks!

ELS is a completely separate modification from LSPDFR. The LSPDFR Support section is for support for LSPDFR or its plugins; this section is meant for all other GTA V related support requests. ELS is a standalone asi mod, not a LSPDFR plugin, therefore this is the correct section.
