The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Do I have to update is their a risk?

Featured Replies

My current RPH is 052.106 I have not as of yet downloaded the latest Rockstar update as I'm concerned about the possibility something may screw things up, can anyone can confirm there are no issues with the latest update and it's working smoothly with RPH 0.54 andLSPDFR with no issues before i do this?

Thanks

I would wait until Scripthook is updated. Otherwise your game will be essentially useless until the new version is released.

Great it just hit me with the update too late, damn! I did chose Backup current game version recently  in RPH maybe that can save me? Scratch that it's telling me "You currently have no backup of the currently installed version"

Damn, well I really had no choice as it would not let me play offline without connecting to the server so I wouldn't be able to play anyway it kept telling me I need to connect to activate it. Ridiculous! Odd thing is RPH says I have 1032.1 so did it get updated or not?

the new GTA version is 11** (I forget the exact number). the RPH version works with the new version, not 1032. The scripthook hasn't been updated yet for the 11** version of the game yet though.

Hope that's what you're asking.

So any idea how big this update is? because all I got was like 68mb and it looks like I still have 1032, so the question is can I run it offline? Let's see, the answer is no, oddly it loaded the game and after RPH hooked I got a splash screen I have never seen before saying the same thing about Activation, the damn game has been activated for months now, this is infuriating to say the least!

You can only play offline for a limited time, after a while you'll need to do a session so it can verify the activation. it's Rockstar's anti-pirate thing kicking in.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

So can I use the block GTA update application to avoid the update? Looks like the answer is no as the Blocker makes it so the launcher thinks Rockstar servers are offline?. So what do I do to avoid this update and still play? BTW I don't have the Steam version so the Update Blocker by Justin should work.

Thanks

i have this same issue. After playing for a day offline it gives me the activation error. I have found one way around this. When you get the activation message, close everything back out and shut off the blocker. Then open up either RPH or GTA and its going to ask you to log in to your Social club(make sure remember me and auto sign in is ticked). After you do it will go through its loading screen and then start the download for the update. Once it starts to download the update immediately close the window. Activate the blocker again and go back to RPH and it should let you play offline again. Has taken 2 tries before but it seems to be the best way i found around it.

You can't. Rockstar will force you to go online in order to verify your game. You can't use it until you do. This is why i encourage people to buy the steam version as the retail version becomes a lot harder to mod.

i've owned both the retail and steam version and i've never had an issue with the steam version, had issues with the retail version however

So your advice worked sorta, I was not able to get the Activation message again, not sure why, so I connected to the server and immediately the update started to download and verify so I hit the  block button but it still downloaded when I went to go open RPH, what do you know, Sorry you have a newer version of the game blah blah, but it also said that I had backed up the older version which I had , and did  I want to restore it, hell ya I wanted to, so I chose that option it magically extracted the old version and saved my butt! I proceeded to play offline and no issues. so the only way it worked for me was to allow the update and re-activation and to revert to the old version, otherwise the block appears to have not worked, well at least I can play offline again. Thanks for the hot tip.

So I allowed the update and now I regret it, not because of RPH but because there is no update for Smart Radio and Traffic Policer so that pretty much kills it till Albo can put out an update.
