I have just downloaded LSPDFR 031 Install.rar and my Antivirus and detected that there is a trojan virus in the install. Is it meant to be there?

It's a false positive. It is safe to ignore. There is no real virus.

You are using Norton's Antivirus, which is known for many false positives and being blind on real viruses, you should change it ^^

McAfee or Bullguard.

McAfee is awful and just as bad as Norton. Never heard of Bullguard.

You're better off just using Windows Defender (since Windows won't like it if you use nothing at all). Just don't be an idiot on the internet by clicking every "download" link you see, and make sure to read what you are installing in installers (to avoid downloading anything other than what you intended to install) and you won't get viruses. I used to use Avast but got tired of the advertisements, so went to just using Windows Defender. It scans on its own, whenever it feels like it I guess, and it hasn't bothered me with any notifications (disabled something in settings to get rid of the "scanned xx times since xxxx" messages).

Windows Defender causes problems with multiple different things though. Its known for having bad effects on your disc usage too.

Avast works pretty good, and IDK what ^^they're talking about with ads because I never see them. It'll block what needs blocked and updates everyday.

Do you pay for Avast? The free version has pop up ads every so often, usually advertising their own product. The option to disable them is grayed out unless you pay for it. Windows Defender has had a much much less effect on my disk usage than Avast ever did. Whenever my computer would slow down, I immediately think "Avast must be doing something" and, sure enough, it was. I haven't even noticed Windows Defender running at all.

I don't pay for avast and I never seem to get pop up ads. And windows defender was making my disc run at 100% after one of the updates. For quite a few people the solution to 100% disc use was to disable Windows Defender and some search utility.
