Hey everyone, if you have been following me and my work you may have noticed the sudden stop of material being shown off, updated or released. Some of you may know that I have moved across my country and am starting fresh. This includes a new PC to continue the fun and enjoyment of releasing things for you all want.

 

So I've come to get some advice and suggestions on a custom pc build. I'm not the most computer savoy person but I do know some stuff. I'm looking for something that will handle my photoshop and my games without blinking an eye.(or as best as possible with the budget) I've already got a case that a friend gave to me however everything else I need. Really wanting to keep it all under $2000.

There is a lot you can do with $2000, I would suggest first getting a graphics card that is at least 1050 or 1050i, for good visuals that is. And of course get an Intel I7 core processor.

go with Ryzen 1800, best bang for your buck. Intel is a rip off.

That is definitely not true. 

 

An intel i7-7700k is $185 cheaper than the Ryzen 7 1800X on new egg, and according to this benchmark, also outperforms the Ryzen by a lot.

Intel lowered prices than, because I7's are always 400+ AMD made them drop em, good.

I didnt even notice you were Canadian. Gonna do the whole thing over.

 

There, redid the whole list to be CAD pricing. A little less powerful on the graphics side but thats alright. Still a great pc.

Chose a power supply that didnt have enough juice for what you need.

@Durcaz It always good not to spend money if you don't have to.

A 1050 is a budget card tho. If you are already getting an i7 then you should get something equally capable. I would get at LEAST a 1060 6gb with a cpu as good as a modern i7.

 

I see your point but the way i look at it is, why not just spend the money now rather than incrementally over the years? The money will most likely be spent either now or in 2 years so i just like to do it right off the bat. Less hassle

With $2000 to spend, you can easily get a 1080 and still have largely enough to buy the rest of the rig.

Personally, I wouldn't consider anything less than a GTX 1080 with a $2,000 budget.

Well, step one: get internet (done) Finally able to be in my own home and do this. Second step: ideally would be a whole new computer, but really going to combine this step with getting a job to justify this computer purchase. Thanks everyone for the help so far. I'm hoping to not be away from making skins too much longer, a month at most would be ideal but we will have to wait and see what happens.
