Is there a way to revert back to a previous GTA V version

Featured Replies

Excuse me for being naive (as I am new to the GTA V community) but is there a way to go back to a previous version of GTA V with out a back up? Thanks!

Someone told me to replace the new "steam_api64.dll" with the old one, although I haven't tested it yet.

I would  highly advice against linking and downloading DLL files from the Internet, as they could be malicious.

You do realise that you do actually need the old patch for this to work, correct?

Either that, or it only keeps the files that were regularly updated in order to not make your GTA folder over 130GB...

Yes I can confirm this trick worked as well (the provided .dll).

I downloaded the newest RPH (51) but it's not working.... Sooo I did this method and problem solved!

my 51 is  working...lemme guess...errors or stuck on load screen?

lol No, oddly enough. Tells me I have version 944 installed, when I in fact do have 1011. When I install RPH 50 it tells me it does not support 1011.

odd....but i replaced all my RPH files and got the new scripthookV and then updated my Update.rpf in my mod folder, transfered my cars to the new RPF and boom...works

How do I transfer my cars to the new RPF?

ok heres what you do.....go to your vehicles rpf in patchday13ng, highlight all the modded cars you put in...theres an export button some where up top. export em to a folder or something for easy acess, then find patchday14ng, go into that vehicles rpf and then install em like any other car

okay, gonna sound stupid here, but how do you update the "update.rpf"??? Also I don't use a mods folder because i could care less about gta online.

I would imagine the reason the new RPH isn't working for me is due to the update.rpf not being updated. Which I've been been doing this for over a year now and this is the first I'm even hearing of updating the update.rpf, always learning something new around here, and thats a good thing! :-)

Have had no problems until now...

So I'll just keep using this reverted steam.dll for now, works fine for me.

Does using Captain14's car packs make any difference?

whose car shouldnt matter, you just need to put them in the newest update vehicles.rpf....after i got GTA to boot, i quit the game, then did my car stuff, started it up and bam, there they were

I added juat added the new folders and update to my mods folder, RPH seems to be pulling from that which is why i had the loading screen that was infinite
