GTA V Buying

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm gonna get GTA V PC soon. (Yea i know its kinda late) My PC does not have dics drive to insert and install.

I just need to know;

1) Do I still need to use the dics to play GTA V? If yes, is there a way to play without CD? Like the xliveles GTA IV etc

2) Or get from steam?

I have both versions.The steam version is better and easier to mod.I can take the same steps on the retail version as I did  in the steam,and some things won't work.

That's wrong. Both versions are identical to mod. I've the retail versions and I never had to do any extra step for something to work.

So NO. The Steam version isn't better. They're the same.

The things to think about when deciding what version to buy is your download speed.

If you've a good download speed and you can download the 65GB of data of the game quickly, then feel free to go for Steam.

If you don't have a that good connection, buy the retail version to have all the game on CDs, takes less time to install/reinstall.

There's also the price. GTA V on Steam is stupidly expensive, for less than $40/£40/euros you can have the retail version in stores.

No its not wrong,its is exactly as I described.Why would I lie about something like that?

They both  download the same,it just depends on your computer.They both took me 6-7  hours to download.

Also the OP does not have a disc drive.

I don't have a disk drive for my laptop either. I definitely recommend purchasing the Steam version of GTA V from G2A. I'm not too sure if I'm allowed to link external websites, but I purchase all of my games from that website for relatively cheap. I have not been scammed at all, and they also have a protection plan to allow you a full refund in the extremely rare event that your product code doesn't work.

You can actually get GTA V steam copy for less then $30.00 on G2A right now. I'd definitely buy it off of there.

Just because YOU have problems doesn't mean it's the case for everyone else. The retail version and Steam version are absolutely identical in any point. So advising people to take one or the other version saying one is harder to mod than the other is wrong, and a lie.

Yes I did. Doesn't change the fact that when it comes to modding, both the retail and the Steam version are IDENTICAL. So do not vehicule false information, 's all I'm saying.

Let's calm down gentlemen, we're all friends here that enjoy playing GTA V with LSPDFR. We can disagree but there's no need to attack each other! C;

Purchase the digital steam copy of GTA V from G2A for approximately $30 and call it a day is what I say. If you have any questions feel free to ask here or shoot me a PM if you'd prefer privacy for whatever reason.

i will agree with Hustle!! the steam version is on sale and right now its your best bet!! get it while its cheap!! once you get it, let us know cuz me,  hustle, hystery, and billiarboy will all be around to help!! good luck and we hope to see ya on patrol soon!!
