We like to get fucked over by our government and their insane ways of imposing tax, they prefer to impose tax on "bad" things (cars, unhealthy food, cigarettes, alcohol etc) than to actually do something about it.

wow, yes, there's tax on cigarettes and alcohol here, but not on video games. Do you pay those prices or do you get them online from other countries?

We tax alcohol, cigarettes, foods with saturated fat, 130% import tax on cars, 25% sales tax on anything, I could go on and on (4 quid for a gallon of petrol). The whole taxing here is one of the reasons I'm considering getting away from here, at least for a while.

I generally don't buy newly released games, the last game I got on release day was LA Noire.

There's some websites here that has games that are priced at the lower end (75$), I usually buy from them, going to shops, or even other websites will result in games coming nearly 100$.
