Everything in the pack will be dated from 1986 and before. The only slot I won't be replacing is policeb. It'll have Caprices, Impalas, LTDs, Aspen, and a Diplomat once Carface finishes the model :D

I'm really looking forward to this pack. What do you have in mind for cars like the transporter, riot, sheriff SUV and FIB SUV? And what about replacements for the police helicopter, firetruck and ambulance?

Transporter and riot will be a Chevrolet Stepvan, both prisoner transport and tactical response. Sheriff SUV will just be another patrol car. FIB cars will be blacked out Impalas and Caprices. For the helicopter, I'd like to find a model for a Bell 206. If anyone wants to help, that'd be great. Firetruck and ambulance have nothing so far. I might have a model for an ambulance, but a firetruck isn't happening unless somebody comes across a model.

Actually, does anybody here know where I can contact Oldsmobile_85 or Alex_SS? I found a perfect ambulance model to convert, I just want to make sure it's all okay with them.

A 1986 L.A. themed mega-pack is in the works. This includes vehicles, peds, and possibly a few sirens. So far here's all the details.

Themes

Los Angeles Police, Los Angeles County Sheriff, California Highway Patrol, California State Police, FBI, (possibly Los Angeles County Marshals), (possibly U.S. Marshals), LA Taxi, and a City Bus.

 

NPCs

Los Angeles Police officers, detectives from either LAPD or LASD (or both), Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies, California Highway Patrol officers, California State Police officers, and FBI agents. (and possibly U.S. Marshals and or Los Angeles County Marshals)

Don't worry, the cops will be equipped with standard issue, bushy 80's cop staches, big 80's cop glasses and aviators, and classic 6-shooters.

Are you also going to make an unmarked Fury for the pack like the one from the movie Colors? (By the way, the car from the movie was an replica of an real yellow Plymouth Fury actually used by an LAPD C.R.A.S.H. officer in the mid 80s, so it's authentic)

That's the exact reason the Fury/Monaco was noted down.

Wouldn't it be better to just use non-els coronas (edited in carcols.ymt so they have the smooth halogen like on-off transistion) in combination with the yellow steady burn ELS lights for the halogen flashing effect?
