Problem of Compatability of Bodyguards Spawned by Trainers and LSPDFR 0.3.1

Featured Replies

This problem has been around since LSPDFR 0.3 has released, when I spawn certain cop peds to serve as my bodyguard through any trainer (e.g Simple Trainer/TrainerV), whenever LSPDFR is running in Rage hook, if there is a suspect nearby, my bodyguard will runaway from me and proceed to arrest the suspect. Whenever he/she is done, he will then run away from me. In some occasions if we are in a vehicle, he will open the car doors automatically and jump out whenever a suspect is nearby.

The peds that are affected includes:

  • s_m_y_cop_01
  • s_f_y_cop_01
  • s_m_y_sheriff_01
  • s_f_y_sheriff_01
  • s_m_y_ranger_01
  • s_f_y_ranger_01
  • s_m_y_swat_01
  • s_m_m_fibsec_01

On another note, the "s_m_y_swat_01" bodyguard peds and "s_m_m_fibsec_01" bodyguard peds will get out of my vehicle after they are inside for 1 second even there are no suspect nearby. This is not fun for players who wants to have partners especially when they are SWAT and they don't have EUP models. Also, when I spawn IAA, DOA, SWAT, SASPA peds as my bodyguards, they will get shot by police if they open fire at suspects.

I've tried to uninstall all LSPDFR plugins and the problem still persists. However, when I unload LSPDFR, the problem stops. So I'm pretty sure this is an issue with LSPDFR API.

My PC runs on a Intel i5-3210M CPU@ 2.50GHz with NVIDA GeForce GT 630M graphics running on Windows 10 Home 64 bit 10.0 operating system. (Not sure if information is relevant.)

I don't know how to script with Rage Hook, but my suggestion is to filter cop peds that are spawned by trainers and prevent them to be affected by the API, and  create relationship groups for IAA, DOA, SWAT, SASPA peds with cops so they won't get shot whenever the plugin is loaded.

Thanks a lot!

LSPDFR automatically controls the AI of all cop peds in the game. Disabling auto-pursuit-backup (an option in LSPDFR+) may help with this issue. The better solution would be to use @Darkmyre's Partner Mod to get a better-behaved partner who's actually integrated with the LSPDFR API.

Yep, you can't use the bodyguards spawned through the trainers, as they will always wander off after the callout finishes, as part of LSPDFR's callout procedure. As PNWParksFan says, you need to use a partner mod to get someone that wont leave you.
