Please tell me the next update on july 12th won't need a new rage version and updates all over the place, please. 

It probably will, just like almost every major update.

Another headache, this is becoming unbearable, especially for people who are busy and can't be testing their games for optimization.

Well, it's really just a videogame. Maybe a suggestion is not to mod it that much? Or use the RPH downgrade feature. Or do not update at all.

its an update not a hotfix so yes it will need a new version of ragehook.

Agreed Rob, its very annoying. I wish there were a way to disable the forced update steam makes you do before you can play the damn game.  

I don't play online so these updates I truly could care less for.

This trick for launching the game while offline (meaning you'd need to D/C from the internet before trying this) from a Rockstar Forums thread used to work, not sure if it still does *I have not tried this myself, I'm not responsible if you ruin your game*:

Open the cmd console as admin and type first this:

cd c:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V

Then click enter after that you tipe this text in:

GTAVLauncher.exe -scOfflineOnly

Then click again enter and your game run on pc in storymode

To clarify: Add the command line to the "target" line of your GTA V SHORTCUT, not the application itself
