You'd probably want a manual tanker over an auto though anyway. Our new one is an auto and not everyone's happy with that.

maybe I got the name wrong I can't remember

They were the bees knees back in the day. My old beaut had the 8 rotators on the roof, four strobes in the grill and a set of rotators on the back and like you said that was all that was needed. Nowadays they are all LED christmas trees and look shit.

The manual part was the best bit for me, as they had a little more grunt in the engine compared to the slower and clunkier autos that replaced them. I used to milk every last rev I could out of each gear before changing and we used to get to the same places quicker with the manual gear box.

Definitely prefer manual for practical reasons, I just have enough issues going between the wife's car (she stole mine) with the indicators on the left and the Commodores/Falcons at work, all of which are auto... then jumping in a truck I drive maybe five times a year (quiet brigade with plenty of drivers) and remembering how to drive manual straight away... Much less doing so under urgent duties driving. Usually fine by the time we get to the job but those first few minutes can be pretty unpleasant.

Tas-Where?

Interesting though. It makes a lot of sense, able to maneuvre better, having that extra pumping capacity is always handy, along with the extra tools and manpower... Even just for road closures and traffic control. Oh well.  I'm referring to paid metro firefighters in WA, too. I know a lot of rural brigades use them... but in WA it's pretty much every first response metro or country is both trucks.

Side note, noticed these new 'G-Wagons' that're starting to be rolled out have a canopy thing that sits above the roof... is this just for falling object protection or does it do something?

Mostly anywhere they are mate. My station runs three trucks to almost all callouts.

For volunteer brigades any call they get where they are one of the first brigades they always send out as much as they can. If they get called as backup to another fire maybe only one or two will go, depending on what's required

If you don't read my readme files don't inbox me asking for help

When I was with QFES we would normally dispatch two trucks with a third on modified response (no lights or sirens) if it was called for. A perfect demonstration in the video below.. And yes 592A is an American LaFrance truck usually based at the Fire Academy.

Start off with paint.net

Hi HankVoight I would have a go at making a skin but I have zero experience and the last skin I tried to make come looking really messed up hence why I'm asking if anyone here who has more experience could make a skin up for me

I can appreciate that but you'll never improve or learn unless you do it yourself.
