Are they all based off each state's actual bearcats or just the nsw style one with different logos on them?

i don't know heaps about Bearcats but I thought the vicpol ones were white

All of them are black, they are all practically the same style anyways, every state and territory got one from the federal government around 2011 I think

The vicpol one is black, unless they have two bearcats in which case one of them might be white

It does look like that is what he's done, @BlobbySmutho you may wanna take a look at some shots of the different states.

For example, SAPOL's bearcat is completely bare and all it has is the warning about left hand drive on the rear

And @Macgregor, VICPOL bearcat (only the 1, no more haha) isn't white. But they do have another SOG vehicle, see below pics

^ Not exactly sure if the bottom one shown is still used by VICPOL, as I'm not a Victorian I wouldn't have a clue :whistling:

Can't catch a break with this damn game, if it's not one bug its another, anyone got a weird issue where they can't exit their car after driving even the slightest bit?

gotta hit F every time I wanna get out after driving around, Y on the controller won't work.

Y on the controller works if the car hasn't moved an inch since I got in it.

I realise this is off topic and support-ish but not sure if I'm alone here.

Speaking of bugs, does anyone have any clues why lspdfr decides to spawn double of everything! like if I call for PT 2 cars rock up,. if I request tow truck they spawn on each other and do some weird car dance? my guess is either a plugin is conflicting or something is out of date?

I seen a youtube video from Albo, this happens when you start the scripts twice, you get one for each time ir's repeated, I think he was saying you need unload all scripts and reload them all once

For any of the Aussies thinking of buying the GTX 1070 (MSI Armor OC 8G) here's some advice:

PC Case Gear price: $729 not inc. shipping

Massdrop price: $429.99USD + $25USD international shipping (given you might wait a few days or a week longer for it but....), which right now works out to be $553AUD, a $135ish saving on the normal scammy Australian pricings.

Dont mean to advertise for them but fuck, I'm considering dropping that money on it right damn now just for the $135 saving on the card.

Yes, mass drop looks shady but extensive research shows it's legitimate.

Yeah great idea, I get stuff from the States now and again, it's heaps cheaper and if you can buy in bulk you save more, the postage is pretty fast too, from the people I have brought from anyway, they use Fedx, and UPS, ATM there are at least 3 freighters per day into Sydney, and 7 freighters per week into Melbourne, I know this because I work at Melbourne Airport

@BlobbySmutho  Great work mate, they look awesome, geez if you seen one of them outside your house you'd give up

When you're spending that kinda money, personally I'd rather pay a bit extra and know I'm covered by Australian consumer law. PCCG might be overpriced, but their service is worth it (not to mention, how will you go making a warranty claim with somewhere like MassDrop should there be a manufacturer fault with the card?)

Not sure about ACL applying to goods bought from the states, thats a shady area of the law but all returns and refunds are handled by MassDrop I was reading.
So if you get your card and it's dead, they will replace of refund it, the catch probably is shipping it back to the states falls on you, and because payment is received in USD, the refund is given in USD, so if the currency fluctuates too much (like it does) you might receive less AUD than what you paid (or if you're lucky, more!), and you'll get charged a currency conversion fee from your bank most likely.

American consumer law is eh, but it's not completely shady, they handle their warranties much like ours, perhaps it's not fully backed by law over there but yeah, similar.

The Massdrop price is still MSRP, they haven't dropped it a cent. I was  surprised to see that the mark up is that significant being ~$155 (not inc shipping), not to mention PCCG would save by buying in bulk from the manufacturer, and likely get a cheaper trade price. Not sure what the extra $130-155 mark up gap pays for. I always feel like we're getting jibbed.

Edit: Explained: GTX 1070 USD MSRP = 429.99 = 558 AUD, I would of expected the GTX 1070 to be around the $600-630 mark, which covers freight and a little profit margin, a bigger profit if bought at a trade price, not marked up to $730

Edit x2: Tip: Sometimes I find mWave in particular to be cheaper than PCCG, in some cases depending on the item, they're not cheaper.

Yeah I don't always see nsw and vicpol responding in each other states here so much, but I know they do back each other up when they need. They do go across the border for food while on patrol too, I saw that happen the other week

I know this was months ago but I only just found this thread lmao.

Was listening to police scanner for the Mallee area the other night and heard a couple of calls given to Vic police that were over in South.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion when it comes to this sort of thing but I do have a few points I want to raise:

- Firstly I believe @Darkmyre is right in what he said, building a computer can be a strenous task especially if its your first build so the last thing you want is have to sift through the computer pulling parts out trying to figure what is the problem when it won't start. computers are more of an investment then a purchase when it comes to gaming, you expect them to perform and we often push them to their limits so when it comes time to upgrade you want to make sure your putting the right stuff in their. In my opinion money doesn't really factor in when I'm making a high quality purchase, sure i would love to buy cheap components on my next build but good quality products are expensive as shit, and thats something that your gonna have to put up with and factor in when you want to build, I personally like spending the money on high quality products from a reliable producer here in Australia, with good service and clear cut warranty and service on parts, if they can provide that the they deserve the money.

- I am about to finish my Law degree, not only that I work at a firm that deals with consumer law issues both from trade here and overseas. When push comes to shove on warranty claims overseas the control is pretty much all in the hands of the producer, if you were to buy a product overseas and it was defective or broken in anyway it can be difficult to claim warranty, due to a number of factors, (Unfamiliar Laws, Difficulty in communication, Can be at times difficult to prove the fault or damage was their fault and not yours, due to the distance the part has traveled) and unless the producer acts in good faith, they could, if they wanted to make it very difficult for you to claim warrant even impossible. They know you are not going to spend thousands of dollars on travel and legal representation just to get money back on $600 part, and some companies will take advantage of this. You don't know how they handle their products, if they keep them in good storage conditions or what. a lot of overseas companies will take advantage of you. So in my opinion better to buy Australian, guaranteed strict consumer protection, easy access to warranty and servicing, usually pretty good advice (if you go to the right place), and best of all your helping out your local, and a our national economy  sure you might have to pay 100 extra, but think about how much extra your getting out of that 100. remember not a purchase, an investment.

- lastly, be careful about handing out advice about computer parts unless you can 100% back up the people your giving advice about, if someone has a bad experience from a recommendation you gave them, can look like you were in on it, or you just an idiot, and you don't want that.

Vicpol around have helped nsw for a few things before. Quite a few cross border pursuits and once they came as back up for a traffic stop when NSW hwp found a mobile drug lab

also once saw the local divvy van over in nsw picking up some Zambreros

NSW help out in the ACT too. Just a few days ago they were headed back out to Queanbeyan from an interview in the ACT and took a job on the way out just to be nice.

ACT ambos and fire also have MOU's to help out in Queanbeyan. They get jobs cross border at least daily.

The call I heard the other day was for a unit to go over to South Australia for a guy possibly molesting a child or something :/

Nice VF released on GTA5 mods, looking forward to one from one of you guys 👍🏼

Please don't endorse this VF, if anything report it. Yet again, this model was stolen. It was badly converted from GTA 4 and to make matters worse wer38 claims he bought it, but I can 100% assure you that if he doesn't have the skill to convert a car properly he most certainly does not have the skill to full create a car. Not to mention the fact that the VF from IV had a few very distinctive jagged bits on the roof, which that model has. It's not something that can be easily replicated either, because the 2 other legit VF's in GTA 5 don't have those jagged bits.

Please do not download this model, for the sake of everything good in the world
