NYPD Rainbow Colored Ford Explorer

Featured Replies

This is a good one.

The NYPD have decided to design one of their vehicles in support for the for the LGBT community in the wake of the Orlando shooting. While this has raised quite a bit of praise, many others have apparently been criticized the move. Those that criticize claim that it's a waste of taxpayer money and that New York City continues to cater to the LGBT minority. Those that support the move by NYPD declare that it's simply an act of fondness and empathy by the department, and it shouldn't be taken so seriously. Nonetheless, the vehicle is set to appear at the Pride march on Sunday in New York City.

In a city with 8 million+ people, the cost of this is to the taxpayers is miniscule, like almost non existent. And so what they're catering to the LGBT minority? It's the Pride March, and that minority was the victim in the deadliest terrorist attack in the US since 9/11. Seriously, the people criticizing this are the type of people that bitch about everything.

Great show of support by the NYPD, here's more pics:

You can't do anything these days without people criticizing you and saying what you're doing is wrong. It's pathetic.

Different opinions has always been OK, no?

Well that Explorer is actually looking better with this livery. Me personally would never drive it around (a cop car has to look like a cop car), but I like the idea of the NYPD showing their support.

I saw this on my Facebook news feed yesterday. I gotta tell you it touches my heart when I saw the moto "Our heart goes out to Orlando".

I appreciate you bring up and sharing this.
